Benihana - Coral Springs Ratings and Reviews
I had a 6:30pm reservation. We didn’t get seated until 7:25pm. Our chef didn’t come to cook for another hour. Not once did a manager come to our table. Nothing. I think for an $83 dinner for 3 people we should have been told that we had to wait for another hour for food. I always take my family to this Benihana for all occasions but I will have to rethink it for the next time.
Arrived for 7:30p reservation, were seated around 7:45p, which was reasonable. Waitress appeared and than disappeared after delivering drinks and salads. We had to search for her throughout the night for additional service. The chef arrived, with the incorrect items, and needed to leave the grill several times. He overcooked and burned most of the meals-the rice was crunchy, the chicken was dry and rubbery and the veggies were burned and drenched in soy sauce for cover. Around 9:45p I went and found the manager and explained what we were experiencing at the table after we watched the chef burn himself for the third or fourth time...we stopped counting . The manager appeared about 10 minutes later and he literally just stood a distance from the table and watched the disaster of a dinner continue. He never spoke to anyone at the table and just walked away after what I would imagine was seeing enough of the horrible show his chef was putting on.
When dinner was finished and the waitress appeared with the Check. She said she didn’t realizes how bad the service and chef were... her explanation for the evenings shenanigans “he was new... and well they figured the majority of the people at the table were young and wouldn’t complain”.
Well this party of three that included me cared as we were there celebrating our sisters 45th birthday. It was a horrible experience, they never even got to sing happy birthday. The younger folks at the table, the party of 6 they sat us with left disgusted and loudly protesting the horrible service.
A total disappoint Benihana Coral Springs! You did a disservice to you guest, your new chef and your brand!!!!
Very Rude and forgetful waiter. He needs to get a different job... not in the service industry. When asked him about a couple of items that were ordered and never came, his response was "Well it aint my fault." We were not accusing him or being rude with him. It was a simple question.. Hey could you tell me if the white rice and the beer will be coming out soon? The GM was not helpful "Here's a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert during your next visit". The restaurant passes those coupons out through hotels everywhere. There's nothing special about it.
Horrible service, horrible food (filet and lobster how can you go wrong? Well when it’s cooked with a lb of butter and to much salt) no show for what you expect from any hibachi restaurant specially for $30+ a plate. Waitress was horrible wanted to order more sake...waitress never came back for 2nd drink order or even water....just horrible
Service very slow. Food prep uneven and poor sequence. Rice came before food prepared and cold. Soup cold. Appetizer shrimp delivered after main course. Waited excessively for check and also 20min for return CK to sign. Food was very good in spite of above comments. Not very happy with the service over all.
Haven't been to Benihana in many years family in town want to take them because I've always loved the food everybody was nice from the hostess to the manager to the service to the chef but the food was all dried out and tasteless very disappointed $200 bill for five people including an infant it's a shame
It was my daughters 17 th birthday. They were told At the front and the cook was told . The server never even asked if we were celebrating anything like they normally do. They came to the table to sing happy birthday to the other person at the table in the other party and walked away. I saw that my daughter was upset and disappointed. The server offered to bring her ice cream . It’s not about the free ice cream. It’s about my 17 year old being disappointed and feeling like her birthday wasn’t special or celebrated. I️ called the manager the next day and spoke with Adam although he was apologetic he basically told me it was my fault for not making it clear to the server that it was her birthday. That may have been easier to do if the server actually had been at he table a little more .
Thank you for your time
This was my first time eating here and it was thoroughly enjoyable. There were some bad reviews when at looked at this location, but decided to give it a try anyway. That was a good decision! Our waitress was amazing, very friendly, and always checked on us at an appropriate time. The chef Cesar was fantastic! Super funny, gave a great show, and provided great food of course! Will definitely be coming back to this location soon!
Food was great, and our waiter David was outstanding. He was very friendly and accommodating. I️ visit Benihana several times throughout the year and lately been having not so great service . Tonight we celebrated my husbands birthday with family and I️ wanted to have a great overall experience and I’m glad we came to this location. So from now on if I️ want great service and dinner , I️ guess I️ will have to travel 4o minutes from home because I️ live in Dade. Thank you David and Benihana staff.
Shared a table with some very ignorant people. They were totally drunk and rude. Started to talk to my kids and tell them they need to sing Happy Birthday to their friend. At which point I told them don't talk to the kids then they start to say oh we're in America go back to Pakistan. At which point I ask the manager and we were moved to a different table. I feel the situation was handled wrong and that those people should have been kicked out because Benihana's refuse to serve them more alcohol. Benihana's give me $27 off my bill but I feel that is situation like that should have been handled differently and those people should have been kicked out.
We had a reservation and were seated about 15 afterwards. Waited about 20 minutes for drinks. Over all we arrived at 820 and we left at about 1120 pm. Being there was 3 hours is ridiculous. After waiting for drinks we waited a while for the soup and the salads came after the chef arrived at the table. The chef had a small box he kept putting food into while he was cooking. Food was very salty thats about all you could taste. Food was not as good as it used to be. I usually come here for my birthdays and friends birthdays but now I think we will be going somewhere else.
we have gone here a few times and this time it was my birthday. i also had a birthday coupon sent by benihana and it ended up I couldnt use but it was sent by them. Our cook was so dull and my chicken was under cooked. I didnt even eat it and he never asked "what was wrong as he saw I didnt eat it". Horrible experience
The restaurant was not clean at all. The first of all, our table smelled badly. That smell came from a dirty towel to wipe the tables. I could not breath and covered my nose all the time. From the beginning, I lost my appetite. The most I did not like, was that the chef scraped the teppan table in front of us. The teppan was dirty from the beginning. Even a small bug was running. When he scraped it, a lot of black burnt crud powder came out from the surface of teppan and he wiped them with a towel. But he ocassionalky uses that towel. They should clean teppan perfectly shinning before the customer comes and also the chef clean with a clean towel in front of us again just like Benihana always did before. I am also very disappointed quality food was down even vegetables. I am not sure only Coral Springs is not good. Especially the sauces for meat and even their salad dressing taste was not right. I may understand meat quarity down because the inflation. But good sauce may cover or good but small portion for keeping the price. If Benihana keeps serving these kind of food and condition, I am sure they loose their customer gradually. Rocky Aoki will be sad. I am a Japanese and I think I know what is Japanese food and our service. This is not only complaining. This is my wish they change better. I’d like they serve good food like before and keep a good reputation that Ricky can be proud. Thank you
I usually look forward to eating at benihanas because I love the food and ambiance but this night I was so disappointed. Our waiter not only forgot what we was asking for but he brought out our drinks on a tray & before handing them out he rubbed his hands together over the drinks like he was trying to remove something off the palms of his hands, who does that? Why would I want a drink that u cleaned your hands over? And then we get our food and the rice grains were not fully cooked. We told the chef & his attitude towards our complaint was "well there's nothing I can do about that" at that moment I called for the manager because that was so unprofessional!
