Benihana - Coral Springs Ratings and Reviews
Although we have a 730 reservation we weren’t seated until closer to 8. However our server, Rico, was spectacular. Prompt, timely, conscientious and accommodating. We watched him take care of not just our table, but our entire section. Although it was clearly not his responsibility! He was deescalating for other patrons and supportive to his peers. ASK FOR ROCO when making a reservation!!!
Kai the chef was amazing... Our server Camila was alright. She took forever to bring drinks or refills for that matter. I had to speak up for the couple next to me because she ordered wine and didn't receive it until 15 min of ordering it. Granted yes it was Valentines day but they weren't busy yet. Over all food was amazing like always
My husband and I were celebrating my birthday. I've been to the Coral Springs location several times but this was my worst visit thus far. My birthday celebration was not the celebration that I had anticipated. We had reservations for 7:30 pm however we waited 35- 40 minutes to be seated so we decided we didn't want to wait any longer because it was a work night so we sat at the tables that were not hibachi and our server Lucas was the worst server ever. He never came to refill our drinks or to see if we needed anything and had a very sarcastic attitude. At the end of the meal I had to tell him that I was supposed to be offered ice cream. However, He wasn't very nice to us but we noticed that he was very attentive and nice to other customers of other nationalities. We complained to the manager and nothing was done other than an apology. So we just didn't leave him a tip and we won't be back.
We had a reservation for 8 we did not get seated until 8:25. After seated no one came to the table to acknowlege us until after 20 more minutes then the hostess came to take our drink order. After about 30 minutes later the waitress finally shows up with the drinks and greets us and ask if we were ready to order , I started complainting about the wait and her response “I don’t know why you guys were seated because there was no one to serve you “ did not apologize or anything . I loved the chef and food though
We go here often. Service sometimes can vary greatly. This was a complete disaster like none other. Other people (not in our party) had issues, as did us. Other tables also had problems. The manager was way over her head and she laughed and thought it was funny. Several things were going on this night. Server disappeared completely throughout the night. Manager was non existent until the end of a disaster of a meal. The manager Kelly seemed very inexperienced and thought the many complaints were funny.
After waiting 20 mins to be seated in an empty restaurant, we left and had dinner elsewhere. There were customers who had waited an hour for take out. The hostess was rude and as more customers came in, the hostess who had left the station, kept walking past and didn’t greet the new customers. The service was less than desirable; there was only 1 couple seated having dinner, a few patrons at the bar, so I couldn’t understand why it took so long to be seated or why the carry out patrons had to wait so long. I will never visit this location again.
The food was good as was the chef preparing it. He presented with a lot of energy and was very enthusiastic. The down side to our experience was having a wait time of over an hour before the dining experience began and the time we were seated. We also had difficulty getting our server to tend to our table and there was a long wait on drinks from the bar. I normally am not one to post a negative review but we frequent this restaurant regularly and this has been a reoccurring theme on many of our visits.
I had a 6:30pm reservation. We didn’t get seated until 7:25pm. Our chef didn’t come to cook for another hour. Not once did a manager come to our table. Nothing. I think for an $83 dinner for 3 people we should have been told that we had to wait for another hour for food. I always take my family to this Benihana for all occasions but I will have to rethink it for the next time.
