    Today we were celebrating two adult birthdays and found that our chef Jean, had absolutely no personality, he barely interacted with us. We purposely chose your restaurant for our five year old to be entertained. Also, your prices have gone thru the roof for what you get. You wouldn’t honor the $39 special at the cooking tables. The proteins and vegetables were skimpy. Don’t know that we will return to your establishment. You need to do better!

    It had been a few years since I last visited this location, so we chose it for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. Our reservation was for 7:00 PM, but we weren’t seated until around 7:35 PM. Given the wait, my partner and I—along with the other guests at our table—agreed to place our food orders along with our drink orders to save time. We placed those orders at 7:48 PM. By 8:45 PM, we still hadn’t received any updates, and our server hadn’t checked on us since delivering our drinks. In fact, one of our fellow diners had to specifically ask for the salad and soup to be brought out. I got up to find our server, who said he would ask the manager to come by. That took nearly 10 minutes. Our chef finally came out around 9:00 PM, and that was the highlight of the evening. Chef Alberto was amazing—very skilled, warm, and engaging. He truly turned the mood around with his hospitality. To address the long wait and poor service, the manager did offer a discount, which we appreciated. However, better communication from the beginning and more attentiveness from our server could have made this a much more enjoyable evening.

    Service/staff was ok but place was very dirty in our opinion. Restrooms and dining room just felt unkept with little bits of trash on the floor. Food is average but can’t recommend with its ambiance and uncleanness.

    The food was great and tasty, but the wait time was disappointing. Our reservation was for 7:00pm and in addition to waiting about 30 min. just to be seated, it took another hour just for the chef to start cooking our food. We started eating close to 9:00 pm. The service itself was good (not exceptional) but the wait time really took away from the experience.

    We waited over 2 hours for a chef to come to the table. And management did an extremely poor job at providing clarity, and had a severe lack of urgency

    It’s been 21 years since I’ve visited this restaurant, Benihana is the family restaurant that represents the beginning of the foundation of my family. I’m so sad to write this review but it needs to be done because by far is the worst restaurant experience ever in Miami. BENIHANA MANAGERS I HOPE YOU READ THIS! My reservation was 8:30pm, we were 8 mins early so I understood we had to wait a little bit to fix us our table. At 9:30 they sit us down. At about 10:15pm, we been sitting down for 45 min and no waiter approached us to get at least our drinks order, so I had to talk to the manager and she send someone to take our drinks order, then waited 30 min or more to finally get them and received the cocktails without garnish, why? They said they were packed (this was the waited answer). At 10:45 finally received our soups and salads. My kids were so hungry that this helped them to keep waiting for the chef to arrive. At 11:20pm hungry and tired had to wait two more hours to FINALLY get a chef (to parties that arrived later were already eating) but he was so EXHAUSTED that didn’t remember our orders, keep making mistakes while serving them, over cooked the food, not cleaning the flat top grill and at the end of the show “forgetting” to cook one of the proteins that was included in my dish. He just wanted to go! 12:21 am (yes it was this late) we finish our meal I asked for the bill and when I got it, the least I expected WAS FOR THE MANAGER TO BRING IT ALONG WITH AN APOLOGY or a courtesy drink or something!! I’m their long time LOYAL CUSTOMER! Well guess what…she disappear! It’s unbelievable! DO NOT GO IF IT IS A WEEKEND O HOLIDAY. They don’t know how to manage being packed and are understaff, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE!! Sad but true, you messed up my planned family night and people need to know about this.

    Benihana is always a good option. The staff is always nice and friendly and the cooks always nails it with the food. Perfect place for a lunch or dinner.

    Went for my grand daughters 10th birthday. The food and show by the chef were excellent. The service itself left a lot to be desired considering the total cost eight people. Environment was also somewhat uncomfortable due to lack of adequate ac.
