   The chef was not fun kinda boring we enjoyed the table next to us. Unfortunately the food was not good. Fried rice lacked flavor, a majority of us ordered the Rockies special. The steak was hard and had no flavor. The chicken was bad.  I haven’t been to Benihana’s in a while and I definitely won’t be coming back.

   Benihana was what I expected: loud, especially on a weekend night, fun, with good food cooked on the hibachi grill. The cook and server were attentive to to table needs.

   Had a great night with the 2 couples at out table. The manager or GM came by and took our pictures with his and our phone. Then he printed them for us and gave them to us. I thought that was so awesome. He was really great. It’s was a great night

   We checked in at the front and were asked to wait a few minutes(not a problem) but then had to watch the hostess’ and servers have and argument about where to place people, who was on lunch break etc. We were finally seated and waited at least 15 minutes before our server came and waited another 15 minutes just to get water. Service was non existent from our server but thankfully the manager and host noticed and tried to make it up to us by helping provide better service. Would not go back.

   We sat in the first come first serve area. I have been there before I have been going to Benihana since the 1970s. I drive over an hour to get there. There was only three of us, which is why we didn’t go to the main tables. Normally the food is just as good as the food being served at the main tables. This time it was unbelievably bad. The sushi was good. The meat was cooked fine the portions were cut in half and the heartbreak was the rice. We always get the chicken fried rice and it was unbelievably bad. I even asked him what have you done to this rice? The chicken was not cooked into the rice. There was a few pieces on the top, and the rice itself was heavy, more like a wheat rice. I’m going to try one more time for my birthday to go back there. This time, main dining. And if the food is as bad as it was today, I’ll never go back to Benihana again. My bill with the tip was $370 for the three of us. I was in shock how bad the food had become. Again the steak was beautiful, but that was about it. Service was good.

   Staff were kind and polite. Over charged us by $60, happy I checked my tab, I don’t always check the check. They add salt 🧂 nearly everything. Could really taste the sodium.

    This time the food was amazing bit better but the service was still lacking. First, we waited more than 30 minutes for food cooking to start. Kids were hungry. At the end, when we were trying to pay, their computers didn't work. We waited almost 30 minutes to pay. By the time we left, we were there more than 2 hours.
