    Benihana is losing there touch. I sat at a table and food came out cold. Talk to manager, she was very rude, I love Benihana an my experience was awful

    My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays together, having an early dinner at the hibachi chef table. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the chef's entertaining performance! Prices have gone up a bit for sure, but the quality has not declined. I recommend early dinner seating to take advantage of happy hour pricing for drinks from the bar, and for a less crowded atmosphere. Overall, we loved it and will return again.

    DON'T! This is truly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the service absolutely awful, but the food was bland and tasteless. The service was extremely slow, and our waiter clearly was not ready to be serving tables. Guests at the tables next to us asked to take their food to-go due to the awful, slow service, and there were also other guests who got up and just left. Once we finally got our food, it was cold and clearly had been sitting out for a while. My steak was cold, and I had to send it back. Took another 30 minutes to finally get a new one. My partner's food, the hibachi shrimp, was extremely bland and dry. We had to beg for salt & soy sauce for some semblance of flavor. The shrimp was mushy, not de-veined, and it appeared unappetizing. I completely lost my appetite. While we were in the middle of our meal, we could clearly tell there was a conflict occurring between the staff. They were not handling it in private, and it was just a terrible ambiance & experience. It is obvious that this restaurant is poorly managed, since half the staff looked and acted like they didn't want to be here. Let's not blame COVID anymore for staffing issues. Our “waiter” came up to us mid meal to tell us he got fired and was leaving. So we were left without a waiter for a while, and the staff scrambled to figure out their cluster of a restaurant. Then someone came up to us and said “I’m not a server, but can I get you anything? I think your waiter got sent home because he wasn’t getting along with the manager.” Just horrible manners and customer service. Who says that to their customers?! We were itching to leave and couldn’t get out of there sooner. Side note, the music was extremely loud and basically depressing rock music. It's not a good choice of music for this type of establishment. I was not able to relax. Do not come here if you are expecting any semblance of customer service or an edible meal.

    We have been to Benihana many times. Sometimes we get a "good" chef, sometimes not. It makes a BIG difference both in the "show" and the cooking. We like rare meat and seafood. Overcooked lobster is a tragic waste. This time we had Omar who was excellent in show and cooking and flavoring. When the chef is non-optimal, it is not worth the cost. When the chef is optimal, this is one of my favorate dining experiences. Omar actually had skill controlling his tools, sub-optimal chefs have just bang a lot. Omar entertained while sub-optimal chefs only attempt to perform. Some chefs just make a lot of fire, Omar used lighting, flame, and creativity to entertain. Omar personalized the cooking of each item. Not everyone loves rare scallops, but that is what I wanted and got. There is skill in properly flavoring each course, and at this Omar also excelled. My wife and I shared a huge blue ocean bowl for her birthday which was festive and tasty. Definately get the fried rice!

    Chef and waitress were wonderful and we had a good time. The bar staff were rude. I do not recommend getting a drink at the bar if you arrive early.
