Everything was fantastic!!
Food was great. We were sat down at our reservation time. We received our soup and salad but we had almost an hour wait after that for the chef to prep the main food. It looked they were short handed in chefs.
they were short staffed and apologized serveral times...forgot to bring steamed rice...but made up for it with their politemness and apologies...
will be back to give another opportunity

Service was slow. Had to wait quite some time with a reservation. Our drinks took at least 20 min and they forgot to give us our soup and salad before dinner service started. I was also charged for an extra glass of wine that I had cancelled because it was taking too long and we were leaving. I was very disappointed in my experience. It was my first experience and I had higher expectations. I will not be back or recommend Benihanna.

As always, we had a great time. The food is delicious, fresh, and satisfying. Never have any problems with over or under cooked meats, and the atmosphere is great. It's not cheap, but you pay for the quality. The only negative moments I've had we're all because of rude other customers.
$100 was a lot for two people to watch a guy catch an egg in his shirt pocket and a few squares of sirloin. I don’t think I’ll be back.
Great Food and Great staff That was our first time dining there and we had a great time. The restaurant is very nice and clean
Where to begin. Terrible experience all the way around. The table chef could not been more disengaged...no humor, never talked to our table. We never got rice , even after asking both the server, the chef and the manager. Got one round of drinks then server never came back to get drinks, refills or clear anything from the table. we literally had dishes piled up at the end of the table and people would walk by but never take them. Far to expensive for this type of service.
Will not return.
Always exceptional service to go with the amazing food! Always make a reservation as otherwise the wait can be up to 2 hours or more. They do have seating separate from the hibachi tables that can be done without reservations. Definitely worth the price.
This location was horrible, the management was poor and unapologetic, was seated for my birthday and was the only ones back there two other tables came after us and were seated and food and drinks were given to them before us, our chief didn't even have enough food for all of us to make it worse the chicken was not cooked,and the shrimp was disgusting not deviened we did not eat anything but was still giving bills manager didn't even come to our table had someone else it just ruined my birthday very very sad. This was the Polaris location.
Unfortunately, both my husband and I ended up in the restroom after we ate our food. Staff was nice, the actual show was lackluster and could use some flare. We always look forward to the large fire "lighting" when the chef comes out, but our chef did not do it. It was basically seeing food cooked in front of us with minimal stunts and tricks. Worse, the digestion of the food didn't go so well. It might be time to try a different Hibachi-style restaurant for us.
Daniel is the best chef we have ever had here and we have been coming here for years. I recommend requesting him. He took the time to really cook the rice. Food was great. He was entertaining and personable.
Used to be a favorite, but will not return now. Chef took an hour to come to our table and blamed it on a crazy night last night - mind you it was 3:45pm at this point. He wasn’t prepared and returned to the kitchen at least 3-4 times to get additional food he forgot. He cursed in front of my daughter and the other party’s 3 young boys. He was too busy joking around with the other chef to make sure the customers at his table were taken care of. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes at lunch to get through our meal. Very unprofessional.
Benihana is a favorite of mine for a special treat. The food is delicious. This particular experience wasn't as good as usual but that was the specific chef and host that were the problem.

We have been to Benihana before and had great experiences. Tonight was a bit of a disappointment. We arrived shortly after our reservation time and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very attentive and brought our salad and soups quickly. After that, things went downhill quickly. After soup and salad we waited a very long time (45 minutes) before our table side chef came over to cook our dinner. This seemed like an extremely long amount of time, to the point that the server apologized for the wait and said someone would be over soon. It was another 15 minutes after the server apologized before the chef made it to the table. Once our chef came to the table she worked fast to get our food served. So quickly that the mushrooms were not fully cooked. She also over cooked the chicken and it was pretty rubbery. The food ended up being disappointing, which was surprising to us.
Our reservation was for 5pm and we did not get finished until 6:50. This was frustrating because that was the time the movie we were going to was starting. We had to rush to make it to the movie before the previews were over because we had already purchased our movie tickets.
We will be taking a break from Benihana for a little while and hope the next time it is a better experience.
Even with a reservation @ 8pm we didn't see our food until 9:30pm... Horrible.
I love going to Benihana, but this last visit wasn't the greatest. My reservation was for 7:30pm, we didn't get seated until 8:15, drink orders didn't get taken until 8:30 and then took another 20minutes to receive our drinks.
Eventually the chef arrived and smoothed over the tension at the table. I'm still confused about the super long wait time, it wasn't packed in the restaurant... Just seemed like they were taking their sweet time. 😕
Did not have enough chefs on hand, sat down at 7:15, but didn’t start cooking until after 8:30. Had a birthday boy with us they didn’t acknowledge, and chef talked about stressed and understaffed they were. I noticed manager and hostess disappeared after several complaints. We have been regulars for birthdays but never again. People sharing the table were more mad than us.
Was definitely not impressed with this hibachi restaurant compared to the many others around Columbus I’ve been too. Even with a reservation we waited over 20 minutes to be seated. Our party of 7 was crammed at a table with another couple and people barely had any elbow room to eat. Our server came to our table very rarely leaving people without refills for most of our meal. The seating area was dirty and our cook was not engaging at all. For the price this was not a location I would recommend. Genji or Sakura is much better for the money you are spending.
Husband and I got sick once we got home for hours up all night
We had reservations for 6 @ 6 pm. It took the chef 1 Hour & 20 minutes to arrive at our table. The waitress told us they sat us it forgot about us. Kinda of ridiculous when they weren’t even busy.
We made reservations @ 6:30 and we sat on time. We then sat for over an hour to wait for the chef to make an appearance. We also had a toddler with us which the extremely long wait made difficult. The chef was extremely slow and the food wasn't the best. The scallops were over cooked and the steak was under cooked. We also ordered a drink at the beginning of being sat and did not receive until the end of our meal even after asking 3 separate servers for a drink. I wouldn't recommend.
This is the third location I have been too, and by far it was the best!
Chef Reggie did a fantastic job. It was our best meal there, ever. He didn't overdo the butter or soy sauce, which can happen from time to time with other Chefs. Will be back asking for Chef Reggie. Thank you.
The food is always great and the experience is unique. It is much more interesting compared to the typical dining experience.
We had an awesome and entertaining chef this evening and the food was extremely well prepared. The only downfall was that when we got home, all of our clothes and our hair smelled like Benihana.
