   Originally had 6:30 reservation, this was changed to 6:45 by the restaurant without any notification to us. Went there and did not get seated until after 7:45. People were there waiting at least an hour. We would have went to another restaurant if it wasn’t Mother’s Day and most restaurants were full. I overheard a table telling the chef that the restaurant employee told them open table has over booked the restaurant and open table does not allow Benihana to stop the reservations from coming in, this I know for a fact is a lie. Why lie to your customers? Just apologize because it’s obvious the business overbooked. After hearing from the people at our table, this is apparently the norm to have reservations and have customers wait at Benihana. We haven’t been there in year or so, but within the year the place has became so dirty and my shoes stuck to the floor. Food wasn’t as great! The steak had so many tendons. We did not get done with dinner until close to 10pm!

   our appointment was 6PM. But actually we started eating was 8PM. They obviously over booked. This should not happen. They made our check messed up. I hope they can credit back to my credit card as soon as possible.

   Had reservations was confirmed through open table twice then confirmed from Benihana once. We show up on time to be told well this location doesnt take reservations. Only to find out from our waiter later that they overbooked and this statement is not true. Our reservations were at 4:45 they didnt start making food until 6:45, this was for mothers day im very frustrated.

   We had a 1:15 PM reservation we were not seated until 2:20 PM and our food did not start getting cooked until after 3:15 PM. The restaurant needs to do better with the reservation maintenance, waiting over two hours to eat when having a reservation is just not acceptable with all of the restaurant options that customers have to choose from.

   Had reservation to same location last year on Mother’s day and family was running 5 min late and was told we had ten minutes of our reservation would not be honored. This year, pushed time back 15 minutes to be sure, but wasn’t seated for 30 minutes AFTER reserved time and waited an additional 30 minutes just to get our drinks, another 20 until we actually had our chef arrive. Chef was great, food was good, but nearly 90 minutes after our reserved time before we got to eat.

   Eat before you go because they do not do well handling reservations. First off, the chef and server were giving it their all to recover from some horrible management. Both clearly being stretched thin by the amount of customers. My 1 star rating is for the management team that allowed overbooking. Reservation for 1 PM. Not seated until 2 PM. So busy and understaffed that we didn't get drinks until 2:30. No starters (salads/soups) until 3. Chef didn't get to the table until 3:30. Food for group finally plated by 4. Absolutely no reason beyond greed that an established restaurant like Benihana can't coordinate reservations better than this. Might stop in for lunch on a day they aren't busy. Will never rely on them for a reservation again.

   Always have a great expirience at Benihana. One disappointment this time was they missed calling our name loud enough for us to hear and we were seated late. However, they were very apologetic and eventually were seated at a table by ourselves and had a great lunch.

   Subpar experience, slow service and minimal chef engagement. This visit was way below standard.

   Fantastic experience! Friendly staff that was very attentive from the moment we walked in. A great lunch!

    Exceptional service and really great Chef! Highly recommend Benihana when at Polaris. It won’t disappoint!
