Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood. Benihana Cherry Hill is located right across the bridge from Philadelphia, at Points Plaza, where Routes 70 and 38 merge. Enjoy a cold or hot sake in our spacious bar and lounge, or take a seat at our sushi bar for fresh nigiri and specialty sushi rolls.

I made reservations on OpenTable and I left a message that it was my birthday celebration and to see if they can cook my food and olive oil. When we arrived the manager ask to see if we have reservations and she told us one second they was getting the tables together we set over the hibachi our waitress was nice and also the chef and we had the whole Hibachi Table to our self it was so nice I ordered the chicken and shrimp which was to die for and my husband ordered shrimp and scallops and we both had white rice but next time I go back I might add the fried rice but that looked at Soul delicious thank you for my gift card I really appreciate it and I enjoyed myself and at the end the special treat with the ice cream birthday singing and also complimentary photograph a Special Touch after dinner. Thank you again and will be back soon.

Reservations were made for 8:30pm for 4 we were not seating until 9:45 and they closed at 10 was the last guest their for daughters birthday

We had a reservation at 6:45 pm to celebrate my birthday. We arrived a little before 6:40, and the young lady at the desk checked us in and said it would be a few minutes. To us, a few minutes is five to ten minutes. A half hour later, we were still standing, with about forty other people. More kept coming in, but none were seated. One family left. My husband asked me if I wanted to leave. I said we had already waited a half hour, and it was a birthday celebration, so we waited a bit more. Then, another family went to the desk to complain. At that point, after waiting 45 minutes, with a reservation, and with low blood sugar, we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. At no time did anyone explain or apologize for the wait. We will never go back. There are enough good (and respectful) restaurants in the area that we do not need to waste our time at this poorly managed restaurant.

THEE. WORST. BENIHANA. EVERRR!!! I don't even know where to begin!!! This place is DIRTY! My server didn't know the menu/wine list, nor did she ask for ID. It took FOREVER for our food to come! Our server was tatted up (not from "Japan"). Floors looked like they haven't been cleaned in over a month!!!! This place needs to be shut down!!!!!!!

Worst experience of my life! Manager Jeremy completely unable to handle situations and offered up no resolution I had already paid the bill! There was hair in my plate upon arrival and we froze the entire time due to the vent being open. I spent $145 and have never been so disappointed. Take your money and time a go somewhere else! Not worth it all!

I tried this restaurant because I received a gift card. The waiter disappeared at the end of the night and someone else brought the bill. We were never asked if we wanted desert or tea. When I went to pay the bill I was informed that my $50 gift card had a zero balance. We asked to see the manager and had to wait 10 minutes. He did not offer any type of discount for the waiters lack of service or having to pay an additional $50 since the gift card did not work. Very poor customer service on his part and his waiter. There actions ruined our dining experience and our night. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
I did send the corporate office an email today and they told me the gift card was defective.
They told me they are sending a replacement gift card for $100. I guess I will give them another try. I hope it’s a better experience - we will see

1. I was using my birthday coupon. The birthday coupon gave specific blackout dates of when the coupon could/could not be used. I presented my coupon and was told that I would not be able to use it. What is the point of printing the exclusions out on the coupon if you are still not going to honor the coupon.

2. After waiting almost an hour for a table. We waited another 10-15 minutes for drinks and then another 30 minutes or so for food. It was terrible. Two people (not in our party left). If you are going to be open on or around the holidays please staff properly. Poor example of customer service.

3. They ran out of food. They ran out of a specific cut of beef that I ordered. 20 minutes later they came back and offered me an inferior selection of beef, but at the same price of what I ordered.

Made the reservation months prior. When we arrive we were greeted and told it would be a few minutes and to wait. I begin to overhear from other patrons that they are out of steak. Word gets around and another family asks. The manager says yes, they are out-never received delivery. When he was asked if there was any compensation, discount, substitutions, the manager simply replied, "find something else on the menu without steak."

So, I go up to the manager, just to confirm and he gives me the same story. I ask why I wasn't told this when we checked in or why isn't there a notice, etc on the front door-we could have tried another restaurant. No compensation, not even a free drink or appetizer. It took over an hour just to get our drinks, appetizer, and soup/salad. The only thing that saved this evening was our chef, Luis. Great and funny guy.

We had to wait for half an hour even with a reservation. As we were seated, we were told that they sold out of steak, which was an ingredient to 2/3 of the menu. So we ordered the seafood plate and the shrimp, scallops, and lobster tail were all over cooked. It was an insult to the food. The experience definitely put a damp in the holiday spirit. There are better places to enjoy a good hibachi/teppanyaki. Benihana charges a premium for a bad experience. We will definitely not return nor recommend this place to anyone.

We came for Christmas for a late lunch since our original plans fell through and thought it could be a fun alternative. It was overwhelmingly meh.

For the price I expected better food or a better show with the food being cooked. Not sure if it was because we were there during lunch but it was nothing special. For 100 bucks for three people, I expected more.

Staff were polite so I guess that is good.

We really enjoyed ourselves we return soon. Our table was fun, and our chef kept us entertained. Next visit will be with my whole family.
