Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood. You can also enjoy sushi prepared by a talented sushi chef and indulge in a specialty cocktail. Benihana Cherry Hill is located right across the bridge from Philadelphia, at Points Plaza, where Routes 70 and 38 merge. Enjoy a cold or hot sake in our spacious bar and lounge, or take a seat at our sushi bar for fresh nigiri and specialty sushi rolls.
Join us for Happy Hour, Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. for specials cocktails, sushi, and assorted appetizers. An 18% service charge is added to all guest checks for parties of eight or more. This service charge will be paid directly to the employees who provided service to you.

    Server Cayla was not engaging, didn’t communicate well with a large party. Didn’t give any insight of menu or make any suggestions. Just seemed like she really didn’t want to be there. She didn’t check on my party to see if we needed anything in between courses. Wasn’t pleased with her at all.

    The worst experience I’ve have. It took almost 3hrs for a. Complete meal and it was cold bout time it was finished . We got there for the lunch menu that the website advertised only to find out they say they no longer offer it.

    We made a reservation but wasn’t seated until 25mins after. Our chef took another 40 mins to come to the table. We ate and left before the “hibachi entertainment” was over because we had been in the restaurant for 3 hours already. Our chef was also clearly hating on the chef at the table next to us because their chef was timely, actually entertaining them, and being highly requested by others! Our chef made a few comments about the man to us at the table which i thought wasn’t necessary and a bit unprofessional.

    My family have been to this Benihana location for over 37 years. We used to love it. Service has gone down real bad and the wat times are outrageous. With a reservation you will still wait to be seated no later than one hour AFTER your reservation. The conditions are dirty and there no longer seems to be any management on duty. I would compare the smell of the place to McDonald’s or Wendy’s. I think it is time to close this location. It’s sad.

    I hate writing this because we love the restaurant. It's one of the few places the entire family agrees on. However, the last two times we have made reservations we ended waiting. On the first occasion, it was 45 minutes and last night was an hour. It's a shame.

    It’s so cold in there even with the grill and all the cooking it’s cold. Also we had to wait even with a reservation and I had 2 kids that got very restless at the time so yea.

    A new chef was assigned to our table that burned our food. I requested from the beginning that I wanted someone else to cook our food, and requested him by name. The service here is poor. The wait times are nearly an hour after the time reserved and the restaurants hygiene is awful.

    Restaurant would not honor the lunch menu and had table order dinner entrees. We dined at 1:30 pm. There was no notification and the menu did not state such. Secondly the restaurant had two menus going around with two different prices. One menu had up charges. I had the lower priced menu when ordering and my bill reflected up charges. Overall terrible customer service and this restaurant is ripping off the patrons with the old switch a roo tactic. Wont be going back. Had a bad experience at Plymouth Meeting location last week.

    Understaffed. Made a reservation days in advance but still had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Then had to wait 25 minutes for a chef to come. Food was great, service was subpar

    No point if making a reservation. We had to wait an hour just to be seated. Even though our reservations were for 5:15. Went for my sons 1st birthday and by the time we got through he was so fussy because of the extensive wait time.

    The wait was extremely long. The restaurant did not have a welcoming ambiance. The workers looked stressed. The best part was the chef Devonte. He did his thing. Due to the wait, our parry was tired. Our reservation was at 7pm. We were not seated until 830. Did not eat until close to 10pm.

    Benihana is slipping. Appears to be way under staffed, items forgotten or brought to table so late they had to come in to-go containers. Food was bland, lacking the flavors we love. Chef was so rushed to get to his next table the “show” was virtually non-existent. Staffing a definite issue and the restaurant was only at about 50 to 75% capacity on a Saturday night at 7pm.

    This has to be the worst Benihana‘s I’ve ever been to. The food was decent, yes, but we ended up being seated an hour after our original reservation there were two other parties in the waiting area, waiting for food that they ordered to go over and 90 minutes prior. Additionally, as we waited to be seated at the bar, the bartender took over 30 minutes to actually acknowledge us, while they were less than five people at the bar in total. I can say, however, that the drinks were really good. This location definitely needs to work on ambience (there were cardboard boxes, everywhere, glasses, being broken behind the bar, and all the disgruntled patrons at the front were definitely not a plus) and customer service.

    I really enjoy going to benihana with the family but things have changed drastically. The restaurant floors need to be vacuumed, short on cooks. Some of the patrons had poor attitudes and not wanting to sit with other people. Benihana had a high standard for Food and Service that seems to have fallen to the wayside.

    We had a 6:00 reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. We were told that they were running approximately 45 minutes behind. We were seated at 6:52. It took another 10 minutes before we were asked for our drink order. Our server said that the manager apologizes and gave us free appetizers. The appetizers were nice but what are they doing to fix the lateness problem? The hibachi meal takes a set amount of time and they really should not be that far behind at 6:00. Our server was friendly but seemed that she had a lot of tables to cover. Our chef, Jun was excellent.

    We waited over 2 hours to be seated then once we were seated it took the server 43 minutes to come back with our drinks. Our reservations were for 7:15pm we didn’t leave the restaurant til 10 minutes to 11pm that is ridiculous and I had a pregnant person with the group and having her wait so long just for water is beyond ridiculous. The chef was amazing and great that was the only highlight of the evening. Very disappointed for my 1st experience there.

    Hello, This was the worst experience and I spent 256.00 for food and tip. The wait was over 3 hrs from our reservation time. I feel like it was not great service or quality For our money. The table was never cleaned and there was food on the floor. The bathroom were not cleaned and there was no toilet paper in the stalls. Manager said there will be a discount there was no discount.     The restaurant seemed like they didn’t have enough staff. Our waitress was very nice but not very attentive. We sat for over an hour before the chef arrived. The chef was cool but his seasoning skills were lacking. We asked for more salt and pepper on everything and he seemed very stingy with the garlic butter like it was coming out of his paycheck. We dine here occasionally so it was very disappointing, hopefully it was a one time thing.

    I’m very disappointed with my experience today. The service was poor as the staff’s behavior was as if they did not want to be there. Also, the option for the lunch menu is no longer offered on the weekends. This was not made public. Everyone at our tables was very disappointed. The portions for the full price menu was beyond off and not worth the price! I will not be returning to Benihana’s in Cherry Hill.

    Let me start by saying it was a Saturday evening so I'm not sure if that's why I had such a bad experience but the wait time with reservations was over an hour behind schedule. My reservation was at 7pm and I was seated at 9pm. The chef came out around 9:30 to start cooking. The chef was very nice but he was sweating a lot and wiping his face with his glove covered hand which I found to be unsanitary because of the amount of sweat that was coming down. The food itself was good. I mostly enjoyed their crispy rice spicy tuna appetizer. We weren't out of the restaurant until after 10pm. Maybe on a weekday service isn't as bad.
