Benihana - Broomfield Ratings and Reviews
I didn’t think that anything special was about this place. I have been to many Hibachi restaurants and this one did not stand out at all for me or my wife. The prices were high and the fact you have to pay extra for the chicken fried rice is just crazy. I will look for a non chain local place to go next time.
Benihana's Broomfield has been a favorite of ours for several years but the last several meals there have been mediocre at best. They used to have some really great chefs but have noticed that all most all of those chefs are no longer there. The new chefs are not good at all and have burned our food and fried rice. This is extremely disappointing since like I said earlier that this is one of my family's favorite places to eat. I hope they can hire some more experienced chefs soon.
The food was tasty. The atmosphere was welcoming with a sprinkle of fun. We were seated on time and the table assignment was thoughtful. I came as it was my friend's birthday. Only once we got there were we told that the 30% discount was not applicable to Fri/Sat/Sun meals. Also, although I saw the email reminding us of birthday discount, I did not open it to see that I needed to print the actual barcode to be awarded the discount. All in all a good experience. Just a little too pricey for me, especially when discount was not applied. At least they did not rush off our table as we were the only ones to have a dessert.
Every time we go there I swear the portion sizes get smaller. The “show” gets less and less interesting as they are so stretched for cooks they just try and do it as fast as possible. Very poor experience this time for a family who goes there 2-3 times a year for the past 5 years. Oh, and they canceled our reservation last week “due to technical issues” and told us we were S.O.L. Instead of trying to work out a logical solution for something that way their error. Bad customer experience
I took my family there for my birthday dinner, since i had a $30.00 off coupon for my birthday. From the time we walked into the door our experience was horrible! We made reservations for 6:15 and still ended up waiting for 30min. They were seating people in front of us that didn't make a reservation. After being seated, we sat at our table for another 30 minutes waiting to be served. Nothing came out in time, and an hour later, our cook came out. They tried to charge us for things they "forgot" to bring us and didn't acknowledge my birthday coupon since it was 24hrs in advance?! When we asked to speak to the manager, he reused to use my birthday coupon and never returned to resolve any of our other issues. This is the second time in the past two months that this has happened to us, and will never return to this place.
I've been here a few times before and it was not only entertaining but the food was good. The last 2 times were just not as entertaining and the food somehow got worse... very bland and both times my girlfriend asked for NO mushrooms and ended up with mushrooms. Yes I reminded the cook for no mushrooms and both times still got em. I spent $105. This last time and it definitely wasn't worth it. Probably won't be back for a while.
Best hibachi restaurant in Colorado. The service and chef's performance was amazing. Great customer care. We feel valued there. The food was fresh and delicious. One of our friends who has never been there before commented on how he enjoyed the meal and show. We will all definitely be back. Good variety in menu choices but this time we all had the hibachi steak and we all loved it!
We went for our 8-year old's birthday. The kids loved it. The only disappointment is that the chefs differ in their skills to toss a shrimp tail in their chef hat or pocket, which our kids noticed we did not have the chef who had that ability. Plenty of refills, the staff sang happy birthday and brought special ice cream treat out. The bill for 3 adults (2 ordered steak, 1 ordered sushi plate) and 2 kids (ordered chicken) without alcohol was $149 - which seemed steep. The birthday child was happy which is all that matters in the end.
We were seated over 40 minutes after our reservation time. We were on time; too bad the restaurant wasn't. The staff didn't seem to care and when we were finally called, we all stood in line in the path of exiting customers for an extended time, very unconfortable.
The food and ambience are good or otherwise I would not consider going back.
It has been difficult trying to get in this place during the busy holiday season, so when we were finally able to dine here we were excited ! To start we made reservations at 8 and arrived on time to have to wait for a table. Honestly if the rest of the night wasn’t a disaster it wouldn’t have been a problem , but that was not the case. When we were finally sat we ordered drinks ( I ordered a raspberry berry lemonade and my boyfriend ordered sake for us to share) the server seemed to be uninterested/ too busy to take our order so much she didn’t even bother to ID us . When she brought out our drink she poured our sake and walked away. Right away my boyfriend noticed the glass was filthy! That was a total turn off but given the fact that it was a super busy night we thought we would just bring it to her attention so it could get resolved. To my complete dissatisfaction instead of replacing the drink , she brought out a clean glass for us to pour an already contaminated drink into . I was mortified at her unprofessionalism and attitude toward us. I felt that if we had poured our own drink into a dirty glass then maybe that would have been our problem , but she was the one who poured it so I felt that it was an error on her part. To me she was either blind and in need of glasses or she knew she was giving us a dirty glass and didn’t care. Either was it was an unacceptable way of resolving the problem. It seemed like she was angry at us for noticing her mistake. Despite this woman’s poor service we were already there so we decided to try to make the best of the situation, but honestly I couldn’t wait to get out of there!!! For the rest of our time there not only did we get poor service , it was accompanied by glares/ dirty looks. As you could imagine we were so disgusted with the horrible service that we couldn’t even finish our meal. To Follow up w bad service as we walked past the host we just got a blank stare no goodbye or have a nice night.
Our last experience, and I mean last, was not positive. Food was poor, steak was tough. Took a long time to get drinks. They seated too many people at the table; we were 5 people and they had another 4 people at the table. Those tables aren't meant to seat nine people. Very disappointing for a $250 meal. Not going back.
This was an entertaining and enjoyable meal (as always). Alex, our chef, was entertaining and very talented. We enjoyed both the show and the food, which was cooked perfectly. It is refreshing to find a Habachi Chef that "gets" that it's supposed to be an entertaining experience (i.e. a show) as much as anything. We will definitely be going back!
