Benihana - Broomfield Ratings and Reviews
Server brought Sprite instead of water, onion soup instead of miso (twice, after she spilled the first one), never brought the brown rice, and the soup and green tea were room temperature.
Brilliant white light bulbs (with no dimmer) creates the dining ambiance of an operating room; if your date is over 30, they are going to look 10 years older
Overall we had a good experience! Our server was great and he took very good care of us, especially at the end when there were a few things inconsistent with what we ordered. We could tell our chef was pretty green. He seemed nervous, but he was very nice, engaging, and did as many of the show tricks that he could! A few opportunities for improvement for our chef: The cooked courses were served in a very odd order, not how they typically have been in previous visits to this location. Please do your best to serve ladies first. Our guys felt awkward getting their entrees first. Reading the order ticket and confirming what each person ordered may help reduce mistakes. We had two steaks switched in our group, and our chef completely forgot chicken on one of our entrees.
Again, the overall experience was good and we will definitely return! Maybe a bit more training for chefs would help improve our next experience from good to great!
We celebrated Grandpa's 90th birthday. The 2 chefs were awesome. The service by our waitress was phenomenal being able to keep up with all of us. We always love the fried rice. And with such a variety of dishes, we can always find something different to try or go with our usual favorites!
We always enjoy the experience of Benihana, but it so much depends on who your chef is. It seems the quality of the chef’s fun and interactive cooking show has been deteriorating. We’ve been more impressed by the talent of other locations and the number of “tricks” and other jokes they do. This location the chefs and waitstaff seem to be going through the motions, not particularly interactive or funny. They seem like they are forced to come sing happy birthday, instead of actually enjoying it. Also, our chef this time was extremely heavy on the butter and salt, and that hasn’t normally been our experience. That being said, the food is otherwise good and adults and kids both like it. We love Benihana, but this location needs some work on the experience.
Server was a little slow on serving drinks and keeping water glasses full. Was always looking for her maybe a little to busy that night all the tables were full. Also birthday gift coupons should be allowed to be used on your actual birthday weather a Fri or a Sat not just Mon-Thur was there on a Friday night and was my actual birthday so I couldn't use the coupon not going back anytime soon :(
We went there for my birthday. We were disappointed because the room they sat us in was freezing. They brought out a space heater but that did not help at all because they set it by the other family that was also freezing. They had a 3 year lod little girl so we were hoping she wouldn't be to cold. Our food got cold quickly we had to hurry up n eat it or let it go cold. When we were finished and walking out we noticed the opened area seating wasn't cold at all.
We went for lunch to celebrate a birthday. There were 8 of us, including our 3 and 5 year old grand children. The kids really had a great time as our chef had some mad skills and really kept us all entertained and well fed! Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Benihana.
Great time, great service, great food. We had a wonderful time and have wonderful memories of our night together at the Broomfield location. We were in Boulder for parents weekend and when we were making reservations yours popped up on the internet. It was easy to make reservations and the drive from Boulder was just minutes. The restaurant was packed but we were seated immediately. We will be returning when we return to visit Boulder. Thank you !!
Careful ordering drinks! I ordered a 9 ounce glass of Pinot Grigio come to find out when we got the bill they charged us $20 a glass! $20! Even the server apologized for the high cost of drinks as we asked them if they made a mistake! No glass of wine should be $20.
Unfortunately, was not my best visit here after a few other visits. We had some dirty plates when we sat down, the cook was awesome with her personality but food definitely needed some more seasoning. Little more pricey then I remembered but my family and I still had a good time.
Really fun way to dine. Entertaining chefs. Limited menu and pricey. I get that you are also paying for the "show" but $24 for a dozen medium shrimp, a bowl of broth, some lettuce with 1 choice of ho-hum dressing, a small slab of zucchini, plus $1 extra for fried rice (highly recommended) is kind of exorbitant in my mind. Tables seat about 8 so having your own group fill a table is ideal. It was packed on a Weds night after about 6:30. We brought a birthday cake and they provided plates, etc. and sang. So definitely enjoyable but only on special occasions for me.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. We had an excellent chef that was willing to interact with us, he made the experience really good! The one negative was we didn't feel like we could stay much beyond an hour, because we were being pushed out to make room for the next table, but otherwise the experience was really good
Food was fantastic, but those that orded the lunch sushi and tempura were given their lunch while the rest of the group sat around for an hour waiting for our chef to come to the grill and cook our food. He did very little entertaining with his knives and tools. Was very disorganized.
