I would not recommend this for anything or anyone. The noise level was so high that we could not hear the waitress or the cook had to repeat everything they shouted to us. Could only converse with the person on your left or right but not both.
We have always enjoyed celebrating our special occasions at Benihana because the food is always great and the entertaining chef's are wonderful to watch! Thank you for another great experience in dining out!
Our chef was very slow. Other tables that were seated after ours got their food approximately the same time as ours.
Quality of food wasn't impressive. a lot of my seafood were "rejects", ie: small size, half of normal size that other guests got. Maybe the chef just didn't like me.
Anecdotal mystery: onions were served at the very end. After I finished all my food including the rice..... ONIONS were served.
Food was yummy. Very loud atmosphere. Good for groups.
We were seated early, the waitresss and chef had wonderful personalities and anticipated many of our needs, and the food was terrific!
Clayton was our chef for the night, was friendly with children, told good jokes, and wasn't intrusive to conversation in the least. Food was perfectly cooked, the entire dinner was wonderful.
Is was my second trip there, food was excellent and the chef was really energetic and fun
Great dinner great show in preparing our meal. Enjoyable evening
For the price the service wasn’t good. Our waitress was slow and not attentive (we were with our 2 year old). The chef was a white 20 year old who didn’t have his tricks down. He also cooked the food in an odd order. The chicken last which is never what I have seen. This caused the meal to take nearly an hour and a half.
Server was great although the Chef was not very communicative and did not do a very good job of explaining ingredients as he prepared the food.
Our chef, Noodles, was a funny and entertaining man! We had a great experience with him and our waitress, Junko; between the food, entertainment and these 2 employees warm, considerate and accommodating personalities; we, wholeheartedly will refer our family/friends/neighbors to Benihanas. We went to the Beaverton, OR location.
Have not been to Benihana in years. Lots of fun. Great show and delicious food!!
We have been to Benihana many many times across the country and our chef this time was by far the most entertaining we have ever had. Our grandchildren (3 and 5) were thrilled. Unfortunately, the cook was not up to what we have come to expect. The shrimp and steak were great but the chicken was overcooked and both the chicken and vegetables were under seasoned. We still will come back though.
It was an excellent dinner! One thing did happen that was kind of disruptive. I got hit in the left arm with a drink tray that a waiter was flipping. No big deal except I have a plate and 24screws in my arm from an accident 4 years ago. Not a pleasant experience
Excellent service. Chef was absolutely awesome. Celebrating grand daughter birthday 🎂. She had a great time. Our second visit will be back more often
The overall experience was excellent! Friendly, professional, very attentive, and food was great. Fresh and quality.
Fun time, great food, good company, loved our chef and wait staff.
Great fun. Especially for my grandchildren. Food was delicious.
Taca was our chef & he was very entertaining, friendly, funny & very nice ! We had so much fun & the food was great !
Every time I go to benehans, the experience is always Excellent. The waiters are fun and polite, the service is quick and the food is so good!!
Everything was great as far as service but food was under cooked and didn’t have the normal awesome flavor it usually does.
Outstanding. Our chef Jose was incredible!
Our Chef Noodle was great! Made good food and kept us entertained.
Our server i Think her name was Reily. I was extremely impressed by her. She was very nice, polite and remembered our food allergie. Not many servers go the extra mile and she did. It was my Husbands birthday and we stopped coming a few years back because the sevice was no good but I must say I felt a big diferances this time around.
Again, service is not as it used to be. The cooking is not as authentic as in the past. They seem to be getting away from Japanese and going to more of an Asian flair.
Happy Birthday me! Huge shout out to Roger and Christy for making my visit one to remember!
I would have gave it 5 stars if the girl in the front had greeted me. I stood there for like 5 minutes before someone else came and checked me in. I work in customer service and we greet all of our customers even if we aren’t the ones that are going to assist them.
Other than that our server Dijon (not sure I spelled his name right) was awesome and so was our cook.
We have been to Benihana's several times for birthday dinners. This time, we had a very nice chef, but he seemed a little unfocused. Nervous? Maybe he's new? He broke a plate immediately upon greeting our table, sending chards of glass all over the grill. It was cleaned up quickly. And I think this incident threw him off his game. My son ordered teriyaki chicken. He got the chicken but the teriyaki sauce was forgotten until after it was on his plate. The chef poured sauce from a container directly onto his chicken as an afterthought. He was apologetic, but still... My chicken was rubbery and very poor quality. I ate only a piece or two. All that being said, overall, I believe my husband and son enjoyed the meal well enough.
It was great!
The Hibachi chef was entertaining. Everything else was terrible: 1) 25 minutes until our table was even served water; 37 minutes until we received our drink order (a Lagunitas IPA served in a bottle); 44 minutes before meal prep started; 4) nobody ever checked back to see if anyone wanted another drink; 5) when we did flag a server down to order another drink, it never came. Very disappointed.
This is a very fun place. It can get loud and it can be pricy. The server this time was very hard to hear as was our chef. If you have any kids that might have any sort of sensory processing issue, you will want to either check this out prior to taking them or just make it date night. While very kid friendly, the chefs bang knives and use oil to create a mini volcano (fire). For a child it can be overwhelming or too loud. Great place, though.
Chef was the best ever! Great attitude and food was prepared perfectly.
Benihana's is usually a good place but the chef (cook) Amy we had doesn't have the skills to cook at the the resteraunt.
can't do the show properly or manage the grill our shrimp course of the Splash and Meadow was done before we got the shrimp appetizer, and that main course shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. We had this chef a year ago and can't believe she still works their.
Everything was just great, we love it here, and really shouldn’t save this place for special occasions
A really great time with the family...my kiddos had a blast! Allen was a great and entertaining chef.
Went there for a first date. The food was great, our chef put on an amazing show, and the food was fantastic!!
We loved our chef- Taka. He was fantastic and we had a lovely experience!
Great food. Always a fun place to go for dinner.
Birthday after season of work
It was nice. We love it there
