Benihana - Beaverton
Very enjoyable experience, food is great and the cooks are amazing! Service is always top notch.
This visit not so good but we love coming here for birthdays. Normally we don’t have problems.
Our reservation time was 6:15 everyone in our party was their by that time. We left around 8:45. It took a long time to get our drinks. It was an hour before we got soup and salad after being seated. Our chef was another 30 min and there were things missing from his food cart. He did not have the onions and zucchini so he had to go get them towards the end of the cooking. The chicken stayed on so long it was leather and dry. My scallops were not seasoned, but cooked thru which was good. My friend ordered white rice which came to the table after everyone got their fried rice and someone else had to ask for their rice. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly but was seasoned after the sear so the meat didn’t have much taste.
This visit was not so good but we will be back. It was an off night. I recommend the Benihana Punch or the warm Saki. Delicious drinks.
Service was a little slower than normal. My chicken was a bit Rubbery but everything else was good
Birthday. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Our cook, Brady was fantastic. He was super energetic and very entertaining. Best experience so far. Highly recommend
My filet mignon was extremely tough. So tough I couldn’t eat it. The manager took it off my bill. The cook had a hard time cutting it so you would think he would of got a different one instead of serving it.
Great service. Larger tables. Best one i have been to in a long time. Everyone was very pleasant and made us laugh
It was our first time in Benihana and also first time having Japanese grill.
We loved it so much. We where four and we were sitting with another family of four.
It was wired for few minutes, but then it was comfortable and at the end we where good friends.
Our cook was amazing. He talk to everyone on the table. The food presentation was breathtaking and only shy to how Delicious it was.
Finally, it wasn't just getting food, it was two hours very relaxed dinner with family and friends.
We will definitely coming back with more friends or just the four of us.
Great food and great venue - a little loud but we had fun!
The cook was great, the wait staff was not. We ordered white rice and finally had to ask for it. I also had to get up and find another waitress to get us this as well as a drink. Very disappointed. This is unusual for Benihana.
Loved he ambience and food. My kid enjoyed the way chef cook the food. ☺️
Very good food and the cook was very funny and entertaining
We were in the far back corner and it was super loud. Food was good as usual. Very expensive though. Clothes will smell like the restaurant so where something washable
Greeter was not friendly, but our chef was the best. Only he is leaving to take care of his mom. Very nice young man and sad for Benihana losing such an amazing person.
It was all wonderful, and they were so accommodating to my vegan son, prepared his food first and didn't appear to be at all bothered to meet his needs!
Carlos, our table cook, was very good and made the evening!
Everything is good except we all smell after the dinner. Hope the ventilation is better.
It took over an house just to be seated even though I ha a reservation. Waited 45 minutes just to get a refil on my front. Another hour just on our cook. Then broke two bowls in our food while cooking. Didn’t even get a discount or ice cream or an apology
Allen was our chef and he was great. He put on the best show I've had at Benihana and we spent the whole time laughing.
Great food and environment but the wait time AFTER being seated has grown considerably. Last 3 visits had a 1 hour wait time.
The place had good good. It was entertaining watching our food get made. The chef was awesome. Had a great time there.
We have been going to Benihana for more than 20+ years for birthdays and last Saturdays experience was awful on many levels. First, we waited for more than 45 minutes after being seated for the chef to arrive to cook (we were served soup and salad thankfully.) But after we had to ASK TWICE where the chef was he finally arrived. We were there with the family for our daughters 15 year old birthday and the chef made inappropriate raunchy jokes throughout the meal (sexually related, in front of my child and grandma!) He prepared the food in the slowest manner, and unlike the usual order, we had to remind him to cook certain items (he forgot the vegetables.) The table next to us turned over TWICE while we were there, with different families and different chefs. In all, the dinner took more than 2 and half hours. While the food was consistently good (albeit expensive) the experience this time was so awful that we will most likely not go back for future birthdays.
The service at Benihana was excellent. They were very accommodating especially given we had vegetarians in our party. Our cook, Suzuki, was also very entertaining and did a wonderful job preparing our meals. Thank you!
The chef paid more attention to the chef behind him & his table than he did ours which was very disappointing & unprofessional.
Amazing food and environment! Awesome people.... just a bit heavy on the pocket book. Memorable experience would do it again!
Tomoko Williams and all the staff are awesome people. They make me feel right at home!
We had the head Chef, Allen and he was fantastic! We were a fun group and he played into it perfectly! Great time!
Fantastic atmosphere! Great service. Water was filled quickly. Jose was entertaining! Food was incredible.
Our chef did not do everything for the show that I've seen before. My steak was given to someone else, so I had to wait to get mine. It was very salty when I got it. The shrimp was also over cooked. Everything else was good.
great experience. good food prepared in a fun way. it’s interesting the way the table comes together, and you have new “casual friends” to enjoy it all with. recommended for sure
Server Nancy was terrible she had a bad attitude and wasn’t helpful at all . Our cook Jesus was amazing and was very helpful with doing Nancy’s job for her in assisting us with getting us more water and our to go boxes and sauce containers. Nancy was very unpleasant. Not sure if I’ll be returning. It was my birthday May 7th and i didn’t have a good time because of that, experience was just poor . Also the wait time was over a hour from my reservation and the host didn’t communicate very well how long it would take .
Always a memorable experience here. The food is delicious and service is great, just bring lots of $$!
We had a really nice time- our server and chef were both great. Always an experience we enjoy when treating ourselves for a special occasion.
Our 3 year anniversary and my daughter getting good grades in school
Over the years Benihana's has reduced the amount of food portions. For example they would "pack" the fried rice bowl but now they "loosely" fill the bowl, leaving you with far less. We have noticed over the last few visits that the service has been less then acceptable. Our waitress was wonderful but the management had sent staff home as they were slow. She was working too many tables. We did not get refills on water, had to hunt someone down for that and for more rice. From the time we were seated and done, it took 2 hours. This has been the pattern for a couple years now.
Food was great!! Our. Ok was the best!!
Tough to rate, food and atmosphere in general are great. However the noise level was so much that you couldn't have a conversation without yelling at the person sitting next to you. Couldn't hear the chef so missed a lot of his jokes. Our area was so hot when we arrived so they turned the a/c up to frigid. All this on a Tuesday night @ 6p. I suggest going at an off peak time, reservations a must.
We always go to Benihana for birthdays, we've been doing this for about twenty years now. It's the best!
If there isn't a birthday to celebrate, we just go for the food. It's addictive.
My experience at the Beaverton Benihana was outstanding. The food was amazing. I was full before I could even take more than a few bites of my main course, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. Even when reheated, the food was very good, and I craved more right when I finished eating it. The chef was very nice, and had amazing jokes. I remember that the first time I went to Benihana, I had the Seafood Diablo. I tried it again this time, and it was better than I remembered. My mom had a dish with tuna, its name I do not recall, which was very good as well. The only problem I had was that the quality of the picture that our waiter took of us for a printed copy was very poor. We got a picture on one of our phones as well, however, which turned out nicely. I would definitely recommend Benihana to a friend.
Sercice was poor but the cook was great
