My experience was great! Mike was an excellent chef that prepared the food! Dawn was his assistant and she was great! I never had to ask her for anything twice. She took really great care of us. I appreciate the service that was provided to me, my daughter, and her best friend. This was my first time dining at the cooktops and I really enjoyed it
On April 11 I decided to reserve a table at 5:15 pm to have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, however that quickly has changed . I was there at 5:20 pm and did not get seated till around 8;00 pm then moving forward we still had to wait about another 45 minutes for our chef to come out and cook for us . The other party that was sitted with us were celebrating their uncles birthday and that was ruined . When he finally came out he was not preparing the food correct , he was complaining about him working a double and how exhausted he was and how he had not eaten or taken a break . He literally looked like he was going to pass out .!I quickly went to the manager and he told me that he would fix it and tried to give our table complimentary food . The other guest on our table had a seafood allergy and the chef was so exhausted he forgot and started cooking the chicken with our seafood. He also cooked and let the vegetables over cook for over an hour . At this point me being in the medical field and the rest of the table had to stop him from working as he was complaining that he was catching cramps , he was hungry and he was almost passing out . Another chef tried to help him out and he was in the same situation he had also been working doubles for the last few days . They only have 4 chefs working at this restaurant and are over working the entire staff . I have multiple videos of me speaking h to the manager when he told me the worker would be sent home . Me being the medical I decided to turn around after I made it home to go back to Benihana’s to see if the chef actually left and guess what !!! He was not because he was getting bullied and named called and asked to stay till 10 pm . I have never been so disappointed and enraged at this situation Benihana’s I demand for you to do a deep investigation and get involved in the health of your staff members.As a million dollar corporation y’all are able to hire more staff and take care of this situation.
My reservations were at 1:15. I admit, we were 15 minutes late, but we didn't get seated until 1:52. The Hostess at the door were somewhat rude with their explanation as to why we had to wait. That was quite a shock. I didn't expect that. We sat at the table for about 1/2 hour before a waitress came and asked us what we wanted to drink. We were advised that the dressing for the salad wasn't ready and the salad would be out soon. It did not arrive until well after our dinner was served. We were full of rice and pretty much didn't touch the salad. That was sad, as I love the salad and was looking forward to it. The cook was nice, engaging and attentive to our group. Truthfully, he was the nicest thing about dinner that evening, even though, I expected more "entertainment" from him. I brought with me people that have never been to Benihana and bragged abut the entertainment during preparation. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get that. He stated that the table were we were sitting didn't have a vent. Even though, I did enjoy talking with him. He was very nice. My overall experience on a scale of 1-10, I would say a 4.
We had reservation at 845pm. Was seated at 9:45. Did not eat until almost 11pm. Horrible customer service

The experience wasn’t all so well , the host was ignorant and made us feel unwelcome…The waitress tried to take our change from when we paid without letting us offer the tip…The only good thing that was good about our visit there was the Chef , he was very professional , clean and his service was top notch.

This. Was. The. Worst. Dining. Experience. Of. My. Life. Legit HORRIBLE and I know this sounds dramatic I swear I really don’t complain unless it’s a nightmare and this was. The service was HORRENDOUS from the very start and even after I complained to the hostess..yes I had to get up and tell the hostess how bad it was because we were being THAT ignored. Once the manager FINALLY came over I was truly shook...never in my life have I been so disrespected. I tried to explain all the issues we had been having and the manager was extremely Combative and didn’t once apologize for us being there for an hour after our reservation with no chef or sign of a chef coming OR the fact that they got literally every drink and salad order in the meantime just totally incorrect, not to mention...like I said we had a reservation and had sat for an hour and hadn’t even seen the hibachi chef or been told when our food would be coming. He was so rude to the point that in the first time in my whole life we got up and walked out and that was that. I am HUGE Benihana fan and this is my first time at this location and I don’t know if I will ever be able to even go to any franchise again I am so disturbed and disgusted.

My husband couldn't wait to get to town to enjoy benihana veggie rice with that delicious garlic butter! Yummy! Everything was excellent!

Trash I went on a Monday night and I had reservations for 8 still wasn’t seated til 11. Also people that came in an hour after me were getting chefs before me. Made reservations for 7:30 didn’t get seated till 8:20 didn’t get our waitress till 9:00 chef till 9:30 his grill wasn’t on so they moved his us to a different table he started cooking around 10 they had our orders wrong they forgot my lobster tail and double rice so they had to bring out more rice and the food was nasty because the chef was rushing

Had a reservation for 6:30, and had gotten there a few minutes early. Wasn’t seated until after 7:00 pm. Service was terrible; the waitress barely brought us refills and the chef took a long time to come out to serve the food. Food was good however.
The wait was awful! We had a 1215 reservation and sat at the table over an hour waiting for a cook who never started cooking till after 2. People who came in after us had been served and left by the time our food was done.

It was my daughter birthday,she always wanted to try the food there.I was told because it was her birthday it would be 30% off and it wasn’t the server didn’t couldn’t explain the menu to us fully so we would no the full concept but she enjoy it the chef made it special for her
A very loud argument between another party and the waitress, a hour wait to ear once seated, a second argument breaks out over the time another family had to wait to be served. I was suprised considering it was my families first time their.

I usually love coming here but they had an off day apparently. Hosts were great! But our waiter was bad, we didn’t receive sushi we ordered, never received refills on our drinks, and the cook told us “he wasn’t doing any tricks to focus on the flavor.” Then he proceeded to burn the food... again, maybe it was just a bad day to go.

Manager at the restaurant was pathetic - he never apologized - all he could say for 40 minutes was that it was being prepared.

Horrible service waited over an hour for the cook 2 parties had been seated order taking and food cooked meanwhile our cook was nowhere to be found and when she finally did come the manger was there and hellll she couldn't even explain to him where she'd been then she couldn't cook took her over an hour to cook our food never going back
My experience here was HORRIBLE !!! My visit here literally ruined my Birthday. The cook was friendly but the food cooked quality was AWFUL ! I literally wasted my Birthday Voucher and $67.00 here. I work at the hospital up the street and i come here often, at least 2/3 times a month. This experience here was by far the worst. I doubt i’ll ever be back.
