    Last night my reservation was for 7pm. I arrived at 6:50pm and quoted 15 minutes wait. I was not seated until 8:15pm then waited another 15 minutes to receive service. While I waited one of the managers tried to explain how the reservation was only a guarantee to be seated because they were not taking walk- ins and I should be okay with waiting since at other places you are not seated at the reservation time. The whole table placed our food and drink orders which took another 15 minutes to come. When the drinks from the bar arrived at my table the ice had began to melt. We didn’t receive the salad until after the chef had finished preparing the food. The Chef was very good. We were given plastic silverware because they were no cleaned silverware in the restaurant. If it was not my daughter’s birthday, we would’ve left but we can’t use the birthday coupon on the weekend only Monday through Thursday. I have been going to this location for over 20 years and recently under new management the service times have been very disappointing. I will going further out to another location instead of this location again. The food itself was good but the service outweighs the taste of the food. Disappointed. Also they ran out of the ice cream that goes with the meal.

    I made a reservation for 6:00 pm on Sunday. I arrived 15 minutes early, and would have enjoyed and early start IF POSSIBLE, but certainly did not expect to be seated early, but I did expect to be seated at 6:00 or within a few minutes of my Reservation. I was told "to take a seat and we'll be back with you." I sat more than 30 minutes BEYOND my 6:00 reservation. Nobody spoke to me after I entered at 5:50, more than 30 minutes being ignored. I considered asking why I am still waiting, but the receptionist was not welcoming. After finally being seated at 6:30, it was more than 15 before a single person or waiter approached, to take drink & food orders. 15 more minutes of delay and wasted time, now 6:45 and we are still waiting for anything to drink or munch on. So now at 7:15 soup & salad were deliverd. Our pit chef did not show up to begin cooking until 7:45. It was very disorganized and a lot of silent "down time". I was disappointed with Benihana's service throughout the evening, but equally disappointed that my original 6:00 Reservation started off badly by being more than 30 minutes delayed. It was as if I walked in with no reservation at all.

    My friend and I were in Atlanta for the weekend and chose to try this place as we both enjoy hibachi/Japanese-style cuisine and we were not pleased. Our reservation was at 9:30pm, we arrived 5 minutes before, checked in, but weren't seated until 35 minutes later. The FoH staff weren't very helpful or empathetic towards as as far as the wait went; stating "they cant help that other patrons come in and stay up to 4 hours after they've been served their food. Preposterous. We were finally seated and upon being seated, I informed the server of my seafood allergy to which she showed no concern. I even suggested that my food be cooked in the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination.) She claimed he'd just cook it at the end. Our chef didn't come out to cook our food until an hour later. I again mentioned my seafood allergy to which he started cooking the seafood AND vegetables on the grill at the same time. He claimed he'd forgotten and the manager came to the table to rectify (they finally mentioned cooking my food in the kitchen) Our server repeatedly got missing, failing to refill drinks...it just was not a good experience and I will not be back.

    Had a reservation for 8:45 didn’t get seated until 9:45 at 10:53 pm they still haven’t even started our meals they clearly have very little chefs and overwhelming amount of people. It’s so loud you can’t even hear yourself think. This is by far the WORST Benihana I ever been to. And I’ve been to a few. Trash 0/10 would NOT RECOMMEND

    The food was outstanding but the chef’s enthusiasm was not as good as past visits. We had to wait almost an hour for our table despite having a reservation. It was very busy but it still seemed like a long time to wait. The waitress was very attentive but the chef did not put on much of a show. All the fun and energetic parts of the show you would expect (ex volcano etc) were not there. The food tasted great but for the price it would have been nice to have the full experience.

    The manager ken was very rude and got loud with me after I brought to his attention that the hood was leaking grease into my daughter plate and flies was all around the table. Also had an object in my rice. He only offer a 30% discount

    I’ve lived in Atlanta for 12 years and I’ve heard horrible things about this Benihana for years, but decided to check it out. It was horrible from the start. Reservation was at 8:30. Didn’t get seated until 8:45. ( not horrible but not great) once we sat down, we literally didn’t see or talk to a server for 30 minutes until someone finally came and took our drink and food order. Another 30 minutes after that our drinks finally came, THEN the chef showed up to start cooking. I will never go back. It was a ZOOOOO in there also. No organization, leadership, empathy for guest. #TRASH. Price doesn’t match the service and food. 20 Thumbs down.

    No one was at bar for a good reason. The bartender was rude and incompetent to a server and the only two customers I saw him interact with- me being one of them.

    My family of six was incredibly disappointed with the service at Benihana's on Sunday, June 15, 2025. We arrived 10 minutes early. The check-in was poorly organized, but I gave them a pass due to it being Father's Day. Unfortunately, it got worse. Once we were seated, the waitress greeted us and took our orders. It is now 4:20. At 5:20, our burner had not been turned on, nor had we been introduced to our chef. Upon scanning the dining room, there were three chefs preparing meals at three out of 18 tables. It was no telling how much longer it would be before being served. Our party was joined by a young couple who left after waiting for 25 minutes. |Needless to say, my party decided to leave at 5:25 p.m. The manager failed to check in with the guests regarding the delays, and neither did the waitress. The drink was weak, and the service was horrible!!!! Benihana Atlanta will not be a recommendation that I give to family and or friends.
