Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. You can also enjoy sushi prepared by a talented sushi chef and indulge in a specialty cocktail. Benihana is located inside the 285 beltway in the historical city of Buckhead. The restaurant is on Peachtree Street, just three miles south of Lenox Square shopping mall and the legendary Legoland Atlanta. For lovers of the theatre and the arts, Benihana is only three miles from Midtown, home of the famous Fox Theatre and the High Museum of Art. Benihana Buckhead features 19 teppanyaki tables where showman chefs perform nightly on the hibachi grill. Abundant free parking. We had a reservation for our night out.The hostess told us to have a seat and we’ll be seated shortly. While we were waiting, we overheard the same hostess complaining about being ready to go , asking another coworker what time this place closes, and having to seat customers, as it was later in the evening. If you don’t like the late hours, keep it to yourself or find another job. This place is too expensive to encounter that type of attitude before you’re even seated. Thankfully our server was decent and somewhat made up for the visit. Next time I’ll just make the journey to the Alpharetta location when I have a Benihana craving.

We have gone for years... the restaurant is dirty (food and napkins left on floor), food quality and portions smaller (no chicken which use to be “standard” in fried rice; the chef was going to skip the included mushrooms because most people do not like them (we do), steak is not of high quality as use to be, the list goes on.

Unfortunately, this was not the Benihana experience we know and have come to love. The service was terrible, cook was unenthusiastic and overall just not great. We choose this for our daughters birthday and upon arrival, the parking lot was filled with trash and reception was poor. Not a do over!

Teníamos mesa reservada a las 19:30 y cenamos a las 22:00. Después de avisarles telefónicamente de que llegaríamos de 15 a 20 minutos tarde nos quisieron hacer pagar el retraso demorando nuestro servicio.
Para colmo, después de sentarnos, la cena fue un desastre. Las verduras a la plancha llegaron cuando ya nos habíamos comido la carne. Vamos, todo un día para olvidar y seguramente para no volver.

We arrived at 8:05 pm. They told us we had to wait although their were many empty tables. So, we went to their bar and ordered drinks to wait. No one called our names as they said they would. So we approached the desk again, another hostess then appears and stated we missed our grace period and had to be placed on a waiting list. We explained what occurred but to no avail. We were then seated at approx 9:30 and were not served with food until 10:30 and our food ready to eat after the presentation until approx a little after 11 pm. Their were dirty carpets and bathroom and bad lighting. They didn’t give us everything that came with the meal such as our green tea, etc. I loved eating at Benihana years ago but I will not return to this establishment. The food was very bland. As I left the facility I noticed they have a food score of 84 which speaks volumes. They had only 3 specialty cooks on staff which was not enough to facilitate the people they seated. We patiently waited but it was awful for my traveling guests and a pure embarrassment. Benihana has work
to do to majorly improve.

We had a reservation Tuesday evening for a party of 7 at 7:30pm. Upon arriving the host was texting on his phone and with zero attention given to guests waiting at the check-in stand. 45 minutes after our reservation time we were still waiting for our table. Upon speaking with the manager we were told "we are running behind tonight and there is nothing we can do". No apology for the wait, no we can get you seated by this time, nothing. They appear to be very short staffed with bad management. Many tables sitting dirty for long periods of time. This long wait (with a reservation) and terrible customer service is unacceptable and bad on our experience, we will not return to Benihanas.

We arrived at 1100am for our reservation and we were seated at 1120. We had someone to take our order for food and drinks. Ten minutes later our "server" came to retake the entire table order. We didn't get anything to drink until 1150am. The cook didn't finish until 100pm. The cook and the food was great but the service from the server wasn't good.

Had a reservation for 8p.m. No chef until 9:20 p.m. after one of my guest had to find a manager. Manager was unapologetic and his appearance was unbothered. Soup was cold, salad was wet with water. They cut up shrimp then charge for whole portion sizes. It just was a unpleasant experience and I will not not go back.

I have never had an experience like this. It took 45 minutes for the chef to even get to our table. The group that was seated after us got a chef before we did. The waitress did not take our orders correctly, which led to the chef making everyone vegetable fried rice instead of chicken fried rice. When he went to prepare the entrees one of the people at the table had to tell him she had a shellfish allergy. This should’ve been asked by the waitress while she was taking orders. Due to all of these issues the manager was called to the table. He had AirPods in which is very unprofessional. I was on the phone while he was talking to the others at the table so when I got off he asked me about my service. I began telling him about everything that happened and I stated that the chef wasn’t aware of the shellfish allergy and he asked me why did I care about her because I wasn’t paying for her food, very rude. After that I asked him what the resolution would be because he wasn’t apologetic or accommodating. By this time he was in a shouting match with another person at our table. She was asked to leave and I decide to continue to wait as I had been there for 2 hours and had only received soup and vegetable fried rice. The chef became overwhelmed and I could see my scallops burning on the grill so I decided to cancel my order and leave. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my 20+ years of eating Benihana. I didn’t receive any food after waiting for 2 hours. I will not be returning to this location anytime soon. I will continue to tell others about my experience as well.

It took 45 minutes before the Chef came to our table to start the meal. The hibachi meal was not timed appropriately so various foods were cold and guests who came together ate at different times.

We had a 7.30 reservation. They didn’t seat us till eight. We had to wait another 45 minutes for the chef to come and cook in front of us. They squeezed nine people to a table of eight. It was my daughter’s birthday who was twelve. and it was the first experience. We didn’t get done till ten a clock.

I went for my boyfriend’s birthday. No one acknowledged his birthday. The service was horrible. I ask for sauce twice and didn’t received it. Server wouldn’t aLlow is to use his Bday coupon bc it wasn’t printed. It’s 2019 you can scan the barcode via the phone like every other decent Restaurant. What a waste of time and money. This location used to be so nice and the food so good but you can see the obvious decline from the greeters who seat you to the wait staff to the chefs. My family and I will likely not return. I don’t know why they let the Downtown location go, but the Buckhead location needs a complete overhaul. The food was just so so.

So disappointed to have finally been able to try this food and had to wait with a reservation for over 2 hours. The soup was cold the salad only comes with Ginger, and everything else subpar. I honestly don’t think I would ever return.

Unprofessional staff, had to wait even though we had reservations. Someone sat at our table ate and gave the chef some cash and left with her food in a to-go box. Dirty bathroom, terrible place.

This was an absolutely terrible experience. There was a flight in the parking lot. We got inside there seemed to be no order for the seating even though I made a reservation. Got seated and the soup was flavorless and nasty. My Godsister and I ordered the shrimp and chicken. The chicken had little to no flavor and the shrimp weren't cleaned. The manager never came over to the table to apologize about the shrimp not being cleaned as we visibly saw on the grill. Leaving out the bathroom was DIRTY! There was no toilet paper in the stalls, toilets were just disgusting and there was a random man using the woman's bathroom. This place just needs to be shut down or a visit from the health department. I would stay far away. This location shouldn't even be in Buckhead. It doesn't deserve the one star but I had to give it a rating. If you want hibachi go to the location in Alpharetta or the Kani House. Any place but here.

We were there to celebrate birthday, we had made reservations yet it took the 30 min to sit us and another 30 to bring our soup/apps. We were clear on our order for those who were vegetarian yet they messed up on both veg appetizer and fried rice.

Over all it was ok experience.

Chef did not entertain the table. We took my mother in law for her birthday and there were no interactions with the guests at the table and we could hear the other chefs talking and entertaining while we had nothing. The server didn’t bring us our white rice we had to ask half way through our meal to get it. No refills on drinks. We go to Benihana’s frequently and was completely dissatisfied with this visit.

I had reservations that were for 8:15PM . I checked in with the host at 7:45PM and told her that my party was here.
I went back to the host desk at 8:40PM to ask how long before we get seated. She then informed me that people before me were waiting . I told her I had reservations she said that people at 7pm were also waiting to be seated that had reservations.
We were finally seated at 9:05PM .
Our server was Yaya and the guy that cooked our food name was JoJo. They were awesome , full or personality , great energy , patient , efficient and knowledge of the allergic of some of our guest.
Yes the wait was long long long because we even wait longer for the chef to arrive .
The food was tasty , fresh and well seasoned

Arrived at 5:00 for a 5:15 reservation (made a month in advance for a birthday) and were told at 5:40 that it could be another 20 minutes or more before we'd be seated. Manager couldn't have cared less, so we left. Don't go here unless you have at least three hours to spare.

Best habachi grill ever! I brought a friend along and it was his first time visiting. He really liked it. We have already planned a date to come back.
