Benihana - Atlanta - Buckhead
Green Tea Ice Cream
6 tenderloin and mushrooms lightly seasoned and grilled to perfection.
Hostess wasn't friendly. Although, we had reservations we still had to wait. The server kept reminding us that she was new. The bar wasn't equipped to make a Mai Tai which is a signature drink.
The food was very good!!!! But the wait at the table awaiting for a cook was over an hour (not good). We noticed all tables were waiting for cooks.
They need more chefs and servers. There is no reason a family should have to wait for 30 minutes to get drinks and another 30 to have the chef start cooking. We didn't eat until 1 1/2 hours after we got there. If a guest is required to be on time for a reservation, the service/server/chef should be on time as well. The service has gone down hill over the past few years. This used to be our favorite celebration restaurant, definitely looking for a different place.
Taylor was great!! The “Showgun Chef” was hilarious and very pleasant. It was my first time and they made it a great experience! Will definitely request them specifically in the future!
Will come again that was my first time PFK Headro8
Chief Chris was awesome and the manager made sure we were accommodated properly
The food was good despite the hair found in my soup, but it was promptly replaced once mentioned. the bathrooms were deplorable they need to have someone check them often for cleanliness and restocking.
terrible service. our hostess was very rude. the service was slow despite there not being many people in the there.
Benihana’s is the best restaurant. I love watching them cook the food right in front of me.
Only rating this as a 1 star because of the extremely long wait, out of various liquors, brand new server, which I understand but to be the first table of the day and steps of service dropped not cool.
This location was great! The waitress was very nice and accommodating, the chef was great, food was great. The only reason I rated it 4 stars overall is because we weren't able to order the drinks we liked. The waitress said she couldn't do any specialty drinks or half the drinks on the menu because the menu was old, and the drink I ended up getting wasn't that great. Other than that, it was a really great experience.
Overcooked food. Ridiculous.
Took longer than expecTed for the cook to come to the table
Our reservations were for 9:30, got seated around 9:40 but didn’t get our drinks, soup, and salad until almost 11:00. That part I didn’t understand seeing that it was only drinks, soup, and salad. Then when she came with drinks one was watered down and the drink orders were not as ordered. Took the cook even longer to come and was told by the manager he was peeling shrimp so that was the hold up. Food was outstanding but the service part needs some work. I honestly felt as thought the waitress was new, but was told she wasn’t. Tables that were set after us was served their drinks, soup, and salad before us. There was an additional patron at our table and he threatened to leave several times and came for the experience and stated he wasn’t impressed. BUT the cook made up for a lot of the frustration.
Great chief very entertaining
Best hibachi restaurant so far!
We come here every year for my son’s birthday. The food is always delicious, the price has increased a lot for lunch. I guess it’s due to the Covid -19 limited seating. Everyone gets to seat only with their party they came with, which it should’ve always been like this. We always order the chicken fried rice with steak and shrimp. It’s cooked right in front of us and serve hot and fresh!
I made a reservation for 9 pm. I arrived a little early and the host advised that we would be seated by 9:15. I went to the host stand at 9:15 and he stated to wait there for just a minute. We waited an additional 15 minutes before being seated. We did not get to order u til about 20 minutes later and waited for what seemed like forever before the chef came out. It’s kind of ridiculous to have a reservation and still have to wait so long. The server also had to comeback to our table at least twice because the bar didn’t have any of the drinks that anyone wanted. The food was amazing and the chef was Great, but the service leading up to dinner was sub par.
Well I was seated with some disgruntled customers. Then the grill had so much smoke coming from it my kids were crying and aggravated. The atmosphere was just off
My reservation was at 11:30am the chef didn’t come out to the table till 12:45. It was only 3 tables of people in the building there’s no way possible it should have took that long for someone to come out & cook.
I’ve been a fan of Benihana and this location for years. I hadn’t been back in a while and thought I’d spend my birthday there this year as a treat. Like most people, we haven’t been out much in months. I was very disappointed in the service experience. People moved slowly. Zero sense of urgency relating to reservation time or transition between courses. We saw food (appetizers, not dinner, dinner was another half hour) an hour after our reservation time. On a Monday. Seemed like people were never available or ‘on break’ or something. The food tasted good and I was happy the chef wore a mask. But I would’ve preferred to be seated and served closer to my reservation time.
I have never exprienced anything like this in my life. My reservation was for 4:30 and i got seated at 5:00. Waiter came out at 6:00. Food was served at 6:30. Horrible customer service. Everyone sotting at their tables ahad no chef and we were all looking around for a manager.
It is always great to have a seasoned chef the food was definitely delicious 😋
The server was awesome. The cook was great.
This place is amazing if you are ever in Atlanta please stop by you can’t go wrong
The table was dirty. We had to keep asking for basic items.
Great food, have to make a reservation ahead of time
The server was nice but the chef was very dry and uninterested. My reservations were at 12 didn’t get seated until after 12:15 and it took even longer for the chef to get to the table. Not to mention the chef sneezed and we had to ask him to change gloves afterwards, that is only common sense especially sense COVID.
Waited over an hour and a half to be seated... not what I was expecting for a birthday dinner! By the time the chef came to the table it was almost 11pm and by that time I was not longer hungry!
This location has gone down. It can really use a remodel...
I was disappointed in the restaurant’s appearance. I can’t really find the right words to describe it, but this was not an upscale restaurant in the Buckhead area. It was more of a high priced club scene. The food was delicious and the service was good. However, I will not go back.
Reservation for 1pm... ended up having to wait almost an additional 45 minutes... waitress was super nice and on point... cook was friendly and interactive, food was overly seasoned. Overall ambiance, the restaurant look old and unkempt.
My reservation was at 4:30, we didn't get seated until 5. One of the host was kind of rude. When we did finally get seated I had to go back up to the host and tell her that we did not have a waitress (add'l 10 min after being seated). She told me "Go back and have a seat and I will get someone over there". THEN we had to wait for 2 additional guests, that didn't get there until like 5:25. The food was okay, it wasn't worth the drive (I drove 1hr and 50min because I was dying to try this place and my 1st experience wasn't good). SO, I don't think I will be visiting here again anytime soon. Oh, but the Sangria was tasty:)
Always great when we are there!!!
This restaurant has went down. Bathroom terrible no toilet tissue, paper towels for have. Doors of the Hinges. The restaurant has completely went down over the years are used to love Benihana’s especially the one in Buckhead and it’s nothing compared to the one in Midtown New York City.
G.H.E.T.T.O .. had reservations for 11pm, arrived early at around 10:30 but we weren’t seated until 11:30 or later.. took the cook about an hour to arrive, didn’t actually start eating until 1:00 and left around 1:30.. service was terrible, restaurant was loud and unprofessional, and food is no where near worth what you will pay.. I will not be returning and advice everyone to take your money elsewhere
Chef Chris was outstanding and should be voted Chef of the Year for 2020. In tandem with our server Misty, my family was treated to an awesome meal and experience overall to make our celebration of my son's 19th birthday absolutely wonderful!
It is great and much better under the new management.
It took an extremely long time for a cook to come to our table and even longer for our orders due to someone at the table having a seafood allergy furthering the delay
Very long wait for them to seat you & prepare the food
