I’ve lived in Atlanta for 12 years and I’ve heard horrible things about this Benihana for years, but decided to check it out. It was horrible from the start. Reservation was at 8:30. Didn’t get seated until 8:45. ( not horrible but not great) once we sat down, we literally didn’t see or talk to a server for 30 minutes until someone finally came and took our drink and food order. Another 30 minutes after that our drinks finally came, THEN the chef showed up to start cooking. I will never go back. It was a ZOOOOO in there also. No organization, leadership, empathy for guest. #TRASH. Price doesn’t match the service and food. 20 Thumbs down.

No one was at bar for a good reason. The bartender was rude and incompetent to a server and the only two customers I saw him interact with- me being one of them.

My family of six was incredibly disappointed with the service at Benihana's on Sunday, June 15, 2025. We arrived 10 minutes early. The check-in was poorly organized, but I gave them a pass due to it being Father's Day. Unfortunately, it got worse. Once we were seated, the waitress greeted us and took our orders. It is now 4:20. At 5:20, our burner had not been turned on, nor had we been introduced to our chef. Upon scanning the dining room, there were three chefs preparing meals at three out of 18 tables. It was no telling how much longer it would be before being served. Our party was joined by a young couple who left after waiting for 25 minutes. |Needless to say, my party decided to leave at 5:25 p.m. The manager failed to check in with the guests regarding the delays, and neither did the waitress. The drink was weak, and the service was horrible!!!! Benihana Atlanta will not be a recommendation that I give to family and or friends.

Chef used cross contamination.Ended up putting steak on someone’s used plate ,making a mistake on order ….taking it off of the first plate and transferring it to another persons plate .Before putting it on 2nd plate,steak was put on grill mixing with other meats of others at the table .While all had been sat at the same table,none of us were together

Andre was amazing! He gave a great show to a group that included a lot of kids and was incredibly gracious and fun. The food was awesome. It was pricey for what we got, tho. Skip the sake sangria. Tasty, but ridiculously overpriced for the serving size.

My recent experience at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable and deeply upsetting. From the start, the wait time to receive drinks and appetizers was excessive. When the food finally arrived, the quality was far below standard. The only bright spot of the night was the cook — who was respectful, fun, and engaging. Unfortunately, things took a serious turn for the worse due to the actions of our waitress. She submitted an incorrect order and then attempted to charge us for it, refusing to take accountability for her mistake. When I asked to speak with a manager, she spent nearly 10 minutes trying to defend herself before he finally arrived. Instead of listening to our concerns, he immediately questioned my daughter about “what the issue was with paying” — completely missing the point that we were disputing being charged for food we didn’t order. His proposed solution? To take back my daughter’s leftovers (which was still 90% of her meal) and offer a 50% discount. Not only was this disrespectful, but it was also unprofessional. I did not catch his name, but he was a short man with a large beard and a terrible attitude. He was soon joined by another manager — larger in build, who spoke to us in an aggressive and dismissive manner. What was especially alarming is that, had we been accompanied by a man, I am certain we wouldn’t have been treated with such hostility. The situation escalated to the point that security was called, and four men surrounded my daughter and me over a server’s error. It was humiliating, intimidating, and completely unnecessary. The most heartbreaking part of this entire situation is that another customer — a complete stranger dining with his family — felt so moved by what he witnessed that he stepped in and paid for our food. He and his wife were kind, comforting, and reminded us not to carry the negativity from this experience with us. I left that restaurant feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and incredibly hurt. We were seated at 7:30. Got our drinks 50 minutes after being seated. Salads were out by 8:45 PM and the chef didn’t start cooking until 9:10. We were there for 2.5 hours, missed our show after dinner. These 2 ladies were sat at our table and they were so rude to the staff, absolute zero manners. It was overall just not a great experience. My boyfriend has been to Benihana’s many times before it was my first time and I don’t think we’ll ever be back. The only positive aspect of the dinner was the food was fantastic when it finally was ready.
