The place was alright. It looked older like every other Benihana restaurant I’ve been to. One thing I’d say is that we had our reservation set hours before, but we still ended up waiting to be seated and waiting even longer for service. The food was very good, as always. The only thing about the food id say is that they were a bit stingy with the food. It wasn’t enough of anything, the rice, the shrimp and especially the vegetables. I was told that I couldn’t even get mushrooms with my meal unless I paid extra. I had NEVER encountered that and was very upset about that. But overall it was fair.
We have always had a good experience at Benihana, but this time was the exception. Our chef was new, which was fine, but he didn't do any of the fun things that most hibachi chefs do. It was very lackluster. The servers were slow to refill drinks, and we never received our RICE. They offered to bring it at the end of the meal, but we didn't want it at that point. They never apologized.
I filled out on the reservation that it was my daughter's birthday and that wasn't mentioned one time. She's turning 13, so that was a big deal.
Overall, it was a very disappointing dinner.

The fire alarm came on and didn’t go off for 15 minutes and once off it came back on for 5-10 more minutes. My food was a 2 on a scale on 1 to 5 . He burned the vegetables cause he was rushing to get off !
Horrible - waited 20 minutes AFTER reservation time even though entire party was present - and they seated others without reservation. Next they did not bring a sushi roll that was ordered, then said they would comp it, then did not bring anything but still charged us for it and argued with us that it was off bill when it was only sushi item so was easy to see..... food is good, manager is Horrible and customer service is terrible!!!!
Food was top notch, and the chef had everyone at the table laughing and entertained. Server was top notch as well.
Only two things I didn’t like: 1) an 18% “service charge” which I didn’t know about and the fact the fire alarm went off twice during my visit.

Service is awful. The chef and food amazing. Missing a good opportunity for a great restaurant.
The food was delicious. The chef was a little rusty but entertaining. The service was not great. After I finished my beverage, I waited a very long time before someone offered me a refill. They never asked me what type of rice I wanted.
We have been going to Benihana for 15 years and this was the best dinner and experience we’ve had. A lot of new changes to include Yum Yum sauce and sweet tea. The chefs are a lot more skilled, fun and entertaining.
The restaurant was very loud and the service was not very good!

Our chef was not very good at putting on the Benihana show, and in fact we thought he was extremely inexperienced in this area. With our two kids, the "show" is a major part of the deal. We feel like we did not get our money's worth.

This locations by far has the worst customer service we had a party of 6 and never was able to eat because our waiter never brought out our soup and salad the cook came to start our meal so we asked the cook where was our soup and salad and the cook said you guys should have been gotten that but we never did so we asked for a manager when she came she informed us that they were all outta soup after waiting for 30min at our table so we just left after that totally unprofessional someone should have told us that every hibachi restaurant I have ever been to brings out your soup and salad before the cook
Way better than the Buckhead location. The chef was really good and made sure our food was to our liking.
Server Jasmine was very unatteintive. The bus boy was wonderful and provided refills and was much more attentive than the server. Our table had 2 birthdays that were never even acknowledge while we saw other tables having photos, birthday singing and desserts.
Celebrating another birthday at Benihana. Other locations have become loud and bustling. Drove all the way to Alpharetta. Well worth it. Waiter was kind (but new) so tiny missteps were overlooked. Chef was quite entertaining. Manager was welcoming and attentive. Happy 55th. Thank you, Benihana!

My wife's favorite place. Doesn't disappoint. Our chef Rigoberto was great. Meal was well prepared and the traditional Benihana show was refreshing as Rigoberto had some new tricks. Well worth the drive, enjoyed very much.
Reservation was 6:30, sat in our table at 7:00. Chef did not come to our table till 8pm. Once that began it was fine.
server took too long to get the orders.The chef took nearly 55mns before he came in and start cooking without an apology. We were waiting there for our drinks which took forever. Not dining at this location. I've been going thru to the SFL-Coral Springs location and it has been the best
It's been a while since we've been here. The service has gone way downhill since our last visit. Our oldest was heading back to college after spring break, so we wanted a 'special' lunch before taking her to the airport. For a $200 lunch, it wasn't special. It was evident from start to finish, that nobody here takes the customer's experience seriously. Every single interaction was surly and perfunctory. One highlight: My daughter wanted the shrimp sauce that they have always served. She asked the chef who promptly told her they don't have it on the carts anymore and the server would have to get it. But, the server was absolutely nowhere to be found, nor was any other server, manager, etc. A full 15 minutes elapsed before she came back and even then went to take someone else's order and get their drinks before bringing the sauce. It was so absolutely pathetic, I'm also sending a letter to their corporate office.
Awesome, there is no need to mention competition! My wife truly enjoyed the scenery, ambiance, and food.

When we got there, we had reservations and they seated several other parties before us that arrived after us that did not have reservations. Management was very condescending. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Service was fairly quick. Drink refills were frequent. Chef was just ok. Not much of a show but we were not especially attentive. Food was just ok. They started clearing table while we were still actively eating bringing to go boxes as to say it’s time to leave. At that time, I just said, let’s go. I won’t return. No after dinner mints or the like. No one asking how anything was. No thank you or anything like.

We sat there for about a half hour before anyone came to greet us. Our server was training which is totally okay as I am a server myself, but I wish that someone would have noticed sooner and would have helped him out! The manager ended up getting us drinks and our food order along with the group of women that were sat with us. That took another 15 to 20 minutes. After we mention that we had been there for about an hour to the manager and that people who sat well after us were currently eating our chef came out. He had previously done the table behind us and had amazing energy. (Which is the only reason the manager put him on our table). He was absolutely amazing and took great care of us! He was fun and energetic. Unfortunately his name is the only one I got! Richie is absolutely outstanding and I would recommend asking for him as your chef! After about two and half hours there we finally were done and got our checks. Now I mentioned I am a server as well, with that said I would make sure that my customers are ecstatic when they leave whether it be a discount of some sort. Or a card for their next visit! When we got our checks they did not have anything on them and the manager said nothing about our visit! I would rate a lot lower if it weren’t for our amazing chef! This place needs some serious work!!!
The hostess didn't have a pleasant attitude very dry. Didn't greet us with a hello or smile. Took forever to seat us even with a reservation. I feel like Benihana's has gone down in service. Definitely not as good as they used to be. They should really work on customer service satisfaction. Hire some more cooks
It was my birthday dinner.
Had to wait for over 1 hour in between soup/salad and main meal even with a reservation. Wait staff was horrible. Management was even worse. Bathrooms were filthy! Will not be going back to this location ever again.
Absolute worst service ever. Don’t bother making a reservation, you won’t get seated anytime near your reservation. Our waitress was nonexistent and then confrontational and had the audacity to ask what our problem was with her. Upon the answer, I got called an ahole and that my comment was bullst. Then get a corporate authorized apology and a 20% discount .
We eat here every year for my sons bday and its usually a good time. This time was not so good. Reservation for 7p and we finally ate at 9:30, left at 10pm. At the end of the meal the manager explained that our ticket got switched with another table so they got taken care of first. He compd 10% and threw in some free sushi without being asked (we arent complainers) which was nice. However, I would have like to have known what was going on earlier so we could have made a decision to stay or leave. Also, the waiter kind of abandon us between the appetizer/drink phase and the meal. We'll give them another shot cause the food is good, but another time like this and we'll be doing hibachi with the local chain closer to home
The food is great! The wait is terrible! We had reservations and still had to wait two hours to be served.
I had a reservation for 5:30 which was not honored. We had weren't seared until 7 and still weren't acknowledged until almost 8. The party after us we're eating and we still had no one come to our table. We we're celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday as this is her favorite place. However, we won't be back to this location. The hostess had the worst attitude but the Chef Tremaine was awesome and the most friendly!

Normally the Benihana experience is entertaining. Reservation was at 6pm and we were not sat until 6:30 even though there was plenty of space. Then the chef was either new or a fill in as there was NO show. No Volcano, no fancy knife work, flipping shrimp, eggs, etc. A very disappointing experience. Paid extra for the food expecting the show and did not get any show.
This was a second time in a month that I went there and had to wait for more than 30 minutes to be sat after making a reservation through Open Table. Disappointing experience.
