Very happy this time around; chef Damon had the table in stitches and Destiny gave great customer service. Food was top notch and this time I was able to have my food cooked with the garlic butter.
Also bright a date to the restaurant (a first timer for Benihana!) and she loved it and wants to go back again.
This time around there was no 18% service charge and the fire alarm didn’t go off this time. All in all they improved their service.
We had a fun birthday dinner here for my son. The staff was very welcoming and the food was delicious!
Ask for Steve the chef, he is the best!
We had a reservation for 8 pm for a full table. While there were plenty of unoccupied tables, they did not seat us until well after 8:30. Our server got three of the 7 orders incorrect and completely forgot to enter one entire person’s meal into the system. The chef showed up with not enough ingredients, and proceeded to argue with us that his list was correct. However, at the end of the cooking, I did not receive any mushrooms when I specifically ordered NY Strip and Mushrooms, my friend did not receive any shrimp with her Chicken and Shrimp, and two of us asked for steamed rice which did not arrive until we were done eating. I had asked for light oil and no butter - none of that was done. All of us that had steak asked for medium rare - we all got it well done - no pink. We waited with no drink refills consistently, and it ended up being an over-three-hour experience. When I mentioned to the server that we had to get going and this had taken long enough, she said ‘this is a lengthy experience’. I replied that I had been to plenty hibachi restaurants and this was ridiculous. It took 20 minuTes for the server to process our checks, and one meal - as I mentioned - was not even on any of the tickets. Will never return - any of us.

So i went here on the date of birthday May 14th to use my birthday certificate. I have been a member for over 5 years so usually always get my coupon but this year i didn’t get a coupon, well atleast i thought i did. Upon me rushing and printing the coupon from my email i didn’t check the date or read it at because i did a refined search in my email to find all Benihana emails. So i gave it to my server and she didn’t say anything so i figured my coupon was valid and everything. She didn’t even check my ID. The manager (Oscar) comes to our table and states the coupon is invalid note this is after we ordered, after the chef started cooking our food, my food was already done and i was eating my food. I felt it was intentional and careless on the server and manager fault. So he said he couldn’t do anything i replied by saying hey it’s literally my birthday today you can grant me this. He said no i can give you 10% which he didn’t even do. After that our server applied tip to the check and we only have 7 people she only did 15% so she messed herself up. Point is she shouldn’t have did it. Lastly my aunt car window was smashed in the handicap spot in front of the building. Poor lighting out there so easily can be mugged and the manager Oscar offered no support after her window was busted he didn’t care. So be careful here this Benihana was special to my heart not anymore it’s going down hill and i pray they can turn it around
Food was wonderful, chief was great. Your women restroom needs to be cleaned. That was the only complaint I had.
We went there for Mother’s Day and had a really good meal. We had our little ones and despite a reservation, it took about 20 minutes for the chef to show up after soup and salad. One chef Ryan came it’s was great. He did a great job, was very entertaining and gave the kids a good show. The food is always excellent but lunch meals are a much better value. Try it out sometime!
Loved the Benihanas experienced We went for Mothers Day and the staff was very accommodating and treated the Moms to ice cream. The chefs were phenomenal and put on a great show for us all. We were seated promptly at our reservation time if I had to say one negative which I don't have to but...I do feel that if our reservation is at noon the show shouldn't start at 1pm. In their defense we did have soup and salad to hold us over.
Mother’s Day dinner! Pancho our chef was the best by far out of all the 12 years we have been dining out at Benihana. Our server Echelle also was attentive fast and great! The manager Oscar was great in getting us seated on time. Please keep up the excellent job! We will be back!
Hugo was the best chef we have ever had. Kept the kids and whole family entertained the entire time. Would definitely ask for him again.
The salad never arrived until we mentioned it to the server after the rice was already served by the chef. The edamame never arrived so was cancelled. The to go order was missing components.
Honestly, I have frequented this resturant for a long time but not in the last year. Obviously the menu has changed and definitely the quantity has been cut back but isn’t reflected in the cost! I brought someone in for a birthday lunch, I was very embarassed over the amount of food that we received. Usually you get plenty of vegetables, this time my guest received a bunch of onions, two
Slices of zucchini and a few carrots, I gave him mine! He ordered chicken/shrimp and he got 5 little shrimp and again, I gave him mine! The tray with our food was missing several items, took too long to get them! Bottom line, small amount of food for the price especially on lunch menu! I walked away hungry because I gave my food to our birthday guest, $150 later for 4 people😡😡😡😡
We had reservations at 730. We were not sat until almost 830 and the chef did not start till 9. We had movie tickets at 10 and were late. The chef gave my food to the wrong person and service was horrible.
The service was very bad. They missed providing us the soup and the sauces.
Sadly the service has been slower and slower every time we go. We love the food but it took the waiter 30 mins to bring our drinks and get the food order. Plan ahead because it will be a good 2 hr ordeal.

My son brought his date here for prom and it was perfect! The food was amazing and they had a great time!
It was a pleasant surprise to be seated immediately after walking in a little earlier than our reservation. The restaurant is very pleasant our server was very attentive and the food was very good although it was an unusually long time between placing our order and our chef showing up to cook our meals . Our hibachi chef was very inexperienced but we were patient with him. It appeared he spent more time on practicing his entertainment skills than preparing the food. We love hibachi and know how it’s usually supposed to go and this inexperienced chef cooked and served our food completely out of order. Still we were patient and enjoyed our evening and I do believe we will be back.
By far the best "show" and food selection of all the local Japanese steak houses. Great interaction by chef and amazing skills to show off.
The place was alright. It looked older like every other Benihana restaurant I’ve been to. One thing I’d say is that we had our reservation set hours before, but we still ended up waiting to be seated and waiting even longer for service. The food was very good, as always. The only thing about the food id say is that they were a bit stingy with the food. It wasn’t enough of anything, the rice, the shrimp and especially the vegetables. I was told that I couldn’t even get mushrooms with my meal unless I paid extra. I had NEVER encountered that and was very upset about that. But overall it was fair.
We have always had a good experience at Benihana, but this time was the exception. Our chef was new, which was fine, but he didn't do any of the fun things that most hibachi chefs do. It was very lackluster. The servers were slow to refill drinks, and we never received our RICE. They offered to bring it at the end of the meal, but we didn't want it at that point. They never apologized.
I filled out on the reservation that it was my daughter's birthday and that wasn't mentioned one time. She's turning 13, so that was a big deal.
Overall, it was a very disappointing dinner.
Overrated Hibachi restaurant. You can get same food of same quality for much lower cost at any other Hibachi establishment.

The fire alarm came on and didn’t go off for 15 minutes and once off it came back on for 5-10 more minutes. My food was a 2 on a scale on 1 to 5 . He burned the vegetables cause he was rushing to get off !
Horrible - waited 20 minutes AFTER reservation time even though entire party was present - and they seated others without reservation. Next they did not bring a sushi roll that was ordered, then said they would comp it, then did not bring anything but still charged us for it and argued with us that it was off bill when it was only sushi item so was easy to see..... food is good, manager is Horrible and customer service is terrible!!!!
Food was top notch, and the chef had everyone at the table laughing and entertained. Server was top notch as well.
Only two things I didn’t like: 1) an 18% “service charge” which I didn’t know about and the fact the fire alarm went off twice during my visit.

The food was delicious. The chef was a little rusty but entertaining. The service was not great. After I finished my beverage, I waited a very long time before someone offered me a refill. They never asked me what type of rice I wanted.
We have been going to Benihana for 15 years and this was the best dinner and experience we’ve had. A lot of new changes to include Yum Yum sauce and sweet tea. The chefs are a lot more skilled, fun and entertaining.
The restaurant was very loud and the service was not very good!

Our chef was not very good at putting on the Benihana show, and in fact we thought he was extremely inexperienced in this area. With our two kids, the "show" is a major part of the deal. We feel like we did not get our money's worth.

This locations by far has the worst customer service we had a party of 6 and never was able to eat because our waiter never brought out our soup and salad the cook came to start our meal so we asked the cook where was our soup and salad and the cook said you guys should have been gotten that but we never did so we asked for a manager when she came she informed us that they were all outta soup after waiting for 30min at our table so we just left after that totally unprofessional someone should have told us that every hibachi restaurant I have ever been to brings out your soup and salad before the cook
Way better than the Buckhead location. The chef was really good and made sure our food was to our liking.
