The server food and cook were amazing. Excellent service by far
Reservation was 6:30, sat in our table at 7:00. Chef did not come to our table till 8pm. Once that began it was fine.
server took too long to get the orders.The chef took nearly 55mns before he came in and start cooking without an apology. We were waiting there for our drinks which took forever. Not dining at this location. I've been going thru to the SFL-Coral Springs location and it has been the best
It's been a while since we've been here. The service has gone way downhill since our last visit. Our oldest was heading back to college after spring break, so we wanted a 'special' lunch before taking her to the airport. For a $200 lunch, it wasn't special. It was evident from start to finish, that nobody here takes the customer's experience seriously. Every single interaction was surly and perfunctory. One highlight: My daughter wanted the shrimp sauce that they have always served. She asked the chef who promptly told her they don't have it on the carts anymore and the server would have to get it. But, the server was absolutely nowhere to be found, nor was any other server, manager, etc. A full 15 minutes elapsed before she came back and even then went to take someone else's order and get their drinks before bringing the sauce. It was so absolutely pathetic, I'm also sending a letter to their corporate office.
Awesome, there is no need to mention competition! My wife truly enjoyed the scenery, ambiance, and food.

When we got there, we had reservations and they seated several other parties before us that arrived after us that did not have reservations. Management was very condescending. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Service was fairly quick. Drink refills were frequent. Chef was just ok. Not much of a show but we were not especially attentive. Food was just ok. They started clearing table while we were still actively eating bringing to go boxes as to say it’s time to leave. At that time, I just said, let’s go. I won’t return. No after dinner mints or the like. No one asking how anything was. No thank you or anything like.
Absolutely no ambiance. An overall weird experience.
We sat there for about a half hour before anyone came to greet us. Our server was training which is totally okay as I am a server myself, but I wish that someone would have noticed sooner and would have helped him out! The manager ended up getting us drinks and our food order along with the group of women that were sat with us. That took another 15 to 20 minutes. After we mention that we had been there for about an hour to the manager and that people who sat well after us were currently eating our chef came out. He had previously done the table behind us and had amazing energy. (Which is the only reason the manager put him on our table). He was absolutely amazing and took great care of us! He was fun and energetic. Unfortunately his name is the only one I got! Richie is absolutely outstanding and I would recommend asking for him as your chef! After about two and half hours there we finally were done and got our checks. Now I mentioned I am a server as well, with that said I would make sure that my customers are ecstatic when they leave whether it be a discount of some sort. Or a card for their next visit! When we got our checks they did not have anything on them and the manager said nothing about our visit! I would rate a lot lower if it weren’t for our amazing chef! This place needs some serious work!!!
The hostess didn't have a pleasant attitude very dry. Didn't greet us with a hello or smile. Took forever to seat us even with a reservation. I feel like Benihana's has gone down in service. Definitely not as good as they used to be. They should really work on customer service satisfaction. Hire some more cooks
It was my birthday dinner.
Had to wait for over 1 hour in between soup/salad and main meal even with a reservation. Wait staff was horrible. Management was even worse. Bathrooms were filthy! Will not be going back to this location ever again.
Absolute worst service ever. Don’t bother making a reservation, you won’t get seated anytime near your reservation. Our waitress was nonexistent and then confrontational and had the audacity to ask what our problem was with her. Upon the answer, I got called an ahole and that my comment was bullst. Then get a corporate authorized apology and a 20% discount .
We eat here every year for my sons bday and its usually a good time. This time was not so good. Reservation for 7p and we finally ate at 9:30, left at 10pm. At the end of the meal the manager explained that our ticket got switched with another table so they got taken care of first. He compd 10% and threw in some free sushi without being asked (we arent complainers) which was nice. However, I would have like to have known what was going on earlier so we could have made a decision to stay or leave. Also, the waiter kind of abandon us between the appetizer/drink phase and the meal. We'll give them another shot cause the food is good, but another time like this and we'll be doing hibachi with the local chain closer to home
The food is great! The wait is terrible! We had reservations and still had to wait two hours to be served.
I had a reservation for 5:30 which was not honored. We had weren't seared until 7 and still weren't acknowledged until almost 8. The party after us we're eating and we still had no one come to our table. We we're celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday as this is her favorite place. However, we won't be back to this location. The hostess had the worst attitude but the Chef Tremaine was awesome and the most friendly!
Kids enjoy the chef's show!

Normally the Benihana experience is entertaining. Reservation was at 6pm and we were not sat until 6:30 even though there was plenty of space. Then the chef was either new or a fill in as there was NO show. No Volcano, no fancy knife work, flipping shrimp, eggs, etc. A very disappointing experience. Paid extra for the food expecting the show and did not get any show.
This was a second time in a month that I went there and had to wait for more than 30 minutes to be sat after making a reservation through Open Table. Disappointing experience.
What’s the point of making reservations if they are not honored? Arrived early for a 6pm reservation on Tuesday. Restaurant not busy. No chefs available. At 6:40pm, we left to go to another japanese steakhouse 7 mins away.
Wonderful food, great time! Decor could use a little up grade, but the food was awesome
Service was very forget full kept having to ask numerous times for silverware and drinks, the chef kept leaving because he kept forgetting thing. then gave us 12 dollar shots that were only half full but charged full price...we will not come back because of the terrible expensive service we had experienced! especially when you spend $250 on grilled chicken and rice!
People are nice and the place seems clean but service is just terrible. Not due to lack of effort-always understaffed. We got seated and waited nearly a hour for the cooking to start. Crazy. Many empty tables so staffing was the problem.
The only negative was the amount of time we had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. The reservation was for 2:00 we were not seated until 2:30. That was unaccptable
Our chef Rioborto was amazing and funny! Loved him but our server was terrible and and the host had a terrible attitude. Wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
Actual hibachi chef was good, the rest of the staff was terrible. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated after checking in for our reservation, had to track down the manager after hostess continually ignored us He promised we would be seated after checking our reservation, she continued to maje us wait, then was really rude when seating is. Hibachi chef’s helper kept disappearing, chef himself had to leave in middle of his presentation to go get food as the helper never came back with what was needed. Waited forever for bar drinks,( more ice than drink for over $10 each) my children sat throughout half of their dinner without anything to drink at all. Waited over 20 minutes to pay and leave. We will not go back.
As a party of 6 I had requested our own table as we were celebrating 2 birthdays. They would not honor our request and we had 2 younger people, who lived hard (rough) seated with us. It took an hour and 15 mins until our chef came. He was boring and made no effort to interact. We engaged him and tried to liven things up, but he was clearly not in the same league as the other chefs. My Dad got his food at the end of our meal; they were short on Chefs and the guy who prepares appetizers had to come out and work the floor. And the restroom was absolutely disgusting. Dirty, messy, unkept. We won’t go there again! For a $200+ meal, you’d think they’d make an effort!!
I had a 6 pm reservation and was not seated until 7PM. Then a table seated after we were seated had cooks arrive and we were still waiting. It was after 8 pm until we had someone cook our meals. I will note that my meal was credited, but the experience was horrible! Why make a reservation if you have to wait 2 hours. ridiculous! and it was a birthday and no picture, perhaps they have stopped that specialty
We did not get the usual good service. There were several large parties and it seems most of the service was given to them.
The overall restaurant experience was nice but my brother car was broken into in the parking lot and the don’t have cameras of course. Other than that it was cool.
‘Quan’ the Chef was amazing!
Our food was incredible and we were very happy with the cook. The servers, however, were terrible. We kept having to flag down the bus boys to get our server because we would go 30 minutes without seeing him. They almost forgot to sing me happy birthday, even though we told them 2 times that we were celebrating a birthday. Overall we were happy with the food, but the experience was quite negative due to the service, especially for a birthday celebration.
My family did not have a good experience at this restaurant. If you visit this restaurant often you may be accustomed to the poor service and the taste of the food but if you usually go to restaurants that gives excellent service and have great tasting food this is NOT the place for you. I may try another Benihana in a different area but I do not recommend going to the Alpharetta location. This was our first time going to a Benihana restaurant because we do not have one in the city where I live.
The ladies bathroom was a mess one had water around the toilet, another one was out of paper and one did not have a lock

Love the fresh food cooked right before your eyes. Service seems to be highly dependent on the server and chef, and how well they are staffed. Chefs are not as engaged and entertaining as they were years ago. But still a good experience.
