The overall restaurant experience was nice but my brother car was broken into in the parking lot and the don’t have cameras of course. Other than that it was cool.
‘Quan’ the Chef was amazing!
Our food was incredible and we were very happy with the cook. The servers, however, were terrible. We kept having to flag down the bus boys to get our server because we would go 30 minutes without seeing him. They almost forgot to sing me happy birthday, even though we told them 2 times that we were celebrating a birthday. Overall we were happy with the food, but the experience was quite negative due to the service, especially for a birthday celebration.
My family did not have a good experience at this restaurant. If you visit this restaurant often you may be accustomed to the poor service and the taste of the food but if you usually go to restaurants that gives excellent service and have great tasting food this is NOT the place for you. I may try another Benihana in a different area but I do not recommend going to the Alpharetta location. This was our first time going to a Benihana restaurant because we do not have one in the city where I live.
The ladies bathroom was a mess one had water around the toilet, another one was out of paper and one did not have a lock
Me and my wife enjoyed it all. Great experience, great employees and a wonderful atmosphere
Took an hour to get food.
This was a perfect place to treat our team to lunch. We had a great time and the filet was amazing!
Very slow service , long breaks between server help , food was great tho
Overall it was very good
The food was great and we didn't have to wait long for our table I will be coming back again
Love the fresh food cooked right before your eyes. Service seems to be highly dependent on the server and chef, and how well they are staffed. Chefs are not as engaged and entertaining as they were years ago. But still a good experience.
The reservation was for 6pm on Tuesday Feb 12th. We arrived 15 minutes late and we were sat at 6:30pm. My party of 3 did not get asked for drinks for 15 minutes. The chef showed up at 7:15 and we wrapped up dinner at 8:15. It took two hours to get dinner completed. The service was slow and dirty dishes were not picked up as regularly as is normal. It was a worse service I have ever experienced at Benihana.
My only complaint is that my reservation was for 8:30 i got seated at 8 :50. So iam thinking what was the point of a reservation. And the our waiter came he was fairly nice but slow and seemed to be trying to do alot of other things, he keep forgetting to refill our drinks and bring back water. When the chef finally came things were ok. But i felt like the waiting period was a bit long.
I made a reservation for 7pm on February 10th 2018. When I got there at 650pm, I was told I had to wait to be seated. Approximately 720pm I was seated. The male manager did not once say sorry or give an explanation on why we were seated so late, when I had reservations made. When we got to the table it took another 20 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. Our female waitress was not up to high quality service standard and myself as well as the other people at the table had to constantly stop other workers just to get some service. A female manager came by and I informed her of the service being displayed and how dissatisfied I was about everything that transpired. She did apologize on behalf of the staff and tried to accomadate us as much as possible before she clocked out for work. However, the strawberry lemonade we order had yellowish, waxy particles floating all around the top of the glass. We informed the waitress and they took the drink away. When we finally got our food it was well over an hour and a half!! When We left the restaurant it was almost 10pm!! The quality and standard of this restaurant service needs to meet the price and quality of the food that we pay for. If I wanted subpar service, I would have went to a drive thru fast food restaurant. This restaurant is not cheap for the kind of service that was rendered.
Had a reservation for 6:30, was not seated until 7:00pm. Food was sub par, chef didn’t have a super great show and waitress was not very attentive/good at time management between tables.
My hostess was extremely rude and uninviting, my waitress was very pleasant Chef and food were outstanding
Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Biennahana. The service was good, the table cook was newly trained, and his skills needed practice. But his demeanor made up for those shortcomings, and he prepared the food well. Wish there was a way to cook the rice, meat, etc simultaneously at the cooktop, to bring the meal together closer to same time. But we enjoyed the show, the food tasted good, the options were varied and generous. Fun place for a special family or group dinner.
Always enjoyable experience. The chef's keep it fun and its a great atmosphere to talk and dine at the same time.
We took my mother-in-law from Texas because she had never been before. She loved everything, the food, people, host, atmosphere, etc. She said she will take her mother and other friend when she return to Texas
I brought my boss there for lunch on her birthday. We were slow to get started. We spent longer there than i wanted. The food was amazing, the staff were great but i dont like the blended seating at all. We sat with another party at the same table and they were obnoxious and embarrassing.
Great food great service and great chef and great waitress.
Something has changed here and not for the better.
This food was horrible and the service was slow.
Once again, I had such a fun Birthday dinner at Benihana! I have been doing this tradition for MANY years & it’s never disappointing. I was very pleased with the staff at this location which was my first time there! They were outstanding!!
I came to celebrate my daughter's 95th birthday, she loves the food and the cooks as well, we normally travel to the bulkhead location however we were out shopping and have this location a try, Very pleased with the outcome.
Miserable. Service was horrible. Bathroom was filthy. Another guest was screaming at her chef. Very poor clientele .
To be upfront, I did not say anything about the quality of the food or the service while I was at the restaurant. It is a very uncomfortable situation to be sitting at a table with other people that you don’t know and to voice a complaint. However, as far as the service goes, there was a waitress and a trainee and even with two people working each table my husband and I still sat for more than 30 minutes with no drink. As far as the food, the chef seemed distracted and cook the food out of order. My file was not cooked as I asked. We were offered Yum Yum sauce at the beginning, But it never materialized. All in all, not what I expect from Benihana. This was my husband’s first time there and I am embarrassed to have given him such a horrible experience.
Very disappointed with the service. My wife and I constantly had to ask for drink refills, and usually did not get ice with the refill. We ordered sushi and had to ask for the soy sauce trays. Then we only got one. We sat at our table for an hour before the chef finally came out. The chef was wonderful, though quiet and hard to hear. The food was good as usual, but not good enough to offset the horrible service. Ultimately the cost of eating there was not worth it, we will find a new hibachi place.
This mismanaged decaying Benihana should be avoided! The wait time, with a reservation, was 1 1/2 hours- we were seated/ another couple also celebrating a birthday w/ a hostile waitress and no food. Drink refills- r u kidding? Another beer - nope, apps? My uh. We should have left but my husband (it was his birthday ) reasoned we would have to start the wait over anywhere else we went, it was Saturday night in this EMPTY Benihana.
When our hibachi chef finally arrived the food was good & she, while inexperienced, was entertaining . She was the highlight of the evening, none of this was her fault.
Not quite the evening we imagined.
The restaurant is in need of cleaning & a face lift. The restrooms were disgusting. Walking in I knew we should have walked back out but ugh manners.
