Benihana - Alpharetta
They were short of help and the 2 waitresses that had were new and not familiar with the menu at all! She was slow and inattentive! They do not have a Bartender at all, son your only choice of alcoholic beverages is wine or beer! The plates were nasty and had to be changed out! However our cook Nelson was excellent and the food was delicious!
Cook was unfamiliar with food knowledge. Time consuming. Steak was not pleasant
Not a bad experience with Covid precautions. Our server was extremely nice and comical . Our cook was okay but he just left forgetting to bring things out , leaving the food on the grill unattended. Overall our experience was great .
Not Very attentive when you Walk in the door. No one is ever at the reception desk. This is my second time coming and 4 people walk right past before anyone attends to you.
Loved the food! Look forward to visiting again real soon.
What a mess. Benihana has really gone down hill. Place is disgusting (messy tables, food all over the floor, dirty plates piled all over, disgusting restrooms). Service non-existent. Finally sat 45 mins after our reservation and sat for 20 minutes and no one came to even offer drink. It was my son’s birthday. We got up and left. Can’t wait to see the upcoming “closed” sign on this dump.
Best overall experience in a while at Benihana. Will be back for sure.

They didnt sing Happy birthday. Also i guess because my guest where a little loud the orignial chef didnt wanna serve us. They gave us another chef. Although he man that came was good,I still feel some type of way about it. Then the female servers was having a debate about who table it was .
Made reservations waitress took our order the soup was cold so I had to send that back to get fresh soup. After the salad and the soup still did not receive service as far as the chef coming out to our table set for an hour. After no one came we actually went to the front to let them know that we were no longer going to wait any longer we were leaving and want to just pay for the soup in the salad.
Our server was HORRIBLE!! She never came back to the table to do the refill on our drinks, we had to find her then when we found her she poured good drink on top of water down drink, the yum yum sauce was NASTY!!! The food wasn’t great nothing like the Benihana on Peachtree Street. We will never come back to this one!?!!
Burthday celebration with family
They didn’t have our reseravation in their computer. This app seemed to be faulty.
The service was completely awful! We had a reservation for 7:30pm. We arrived about 7:15pm. The guy at the door said we don’t have a reservation for you. I showed him my congenial and he shrugged his shoulders and rudely said well we don’t have it in our system so I don’t know what to tell you. I had to go back and forth with him and finally he said okay we’ll have a seat and I’ll try to squeeze you in. The couple that arrived after had the same issue. The service from the waitress was also awful. I won’t go back there anymore.
Sara was very rude and disrespectful tom our server. She wad witnessed by myself and other guess yelling at Portia for asking a question. The food was great but I lost my appetite after seeing how hard Portia was working only to be yelled at in the middle of the floor in front of customers.
I travel from 40 minutes away to this restaurant. Food and service is awesome!
We went for a birthday and where the server was kind and polite, it took a long time from the time we sat until the drinks and the appetizers were brought out.
They seemed to be short staffed.
The show was EXCELLENT and the server was very pro active in keeping drinks filled.
After the eating both my husband and myself had an upset stomach. Not sure if it was all of the butter but the meal did not have as much flavor as I have had there.
During the these complicated times it was nice to eat out with my family in a peaceful environment. The host, waitress, and cook were awesome!
The food was great! They are not observing social distancing by sitting six people to a table.
We never recieved our ice creams after 2 requests but overall it was really good.
Terrible service. My fiancé and I came from Florida to visit, and it was his birthday. My reservation was for 9pm they didn’t start cooking till 1030pm sandy the waiter only gave me ONE refill the entire time i was there. They didn’t even offer anything for the inconvenience. Also didn’t even try offer the chef table promotion for my fiancé’s birthday. I’m completely unsatisfied with my experience. There was 2 tables with dirty dishes on them and it took the manger a hour to attend those tables and clean it up.
Well, overall it was a good experience. The food was really good, as it usually is. The waitress was attentive and the chef was entertaining. It’s a pity you don’t get to pick the people you share your table with and noisy children detract from the overall experience. Not noisy because they were entertained, just noisy and poorly behaved in general.
Chef Dominick was great - very personable, he made the experience more enjoyable.

Even during the pandemic we’re currently experiencing the waitress was amazing , she took our order , accommodating everyone’s request at the table . The chef recleaned the stove even before cooking . Interacted with all of the guest at the table personally , will be coming back !
This was probably our best meal yet going to this location. We love it more than the Buckhead location. They only do about 6 tables at a time I believe. Food quality was amazing. We had a great time and will be back soon.
Reservation was at 4:00 pm, got seated @ 4:10 then waited 50 minutes before they took our order. When soup and salad was served it looked terrible. We asked politely to leave. Experience was not good.
It took about 3 hours for our group to finish dinner. And things seemed disorganized. Other than that, it was great.
Close it. Close this and probably all of the Benihanas. Look at the reviews left here, and the weak, tepid, scripted responses by the managers or people in charge. They don't care. Hey dudes... I'm not "reaching out to your team" because that's YOUR responsibility to reach out to US. We come here to write reviews after YOU have failed in YOUR responsibility.
People have been laid off, businesses have been shuttered, all because of the pandemic and a lack of business as usual. I wish THOSE people had the chance to show how eager they are to serve people by taking over this pathetic excuse for a business.
I used to like the place. Really started regularly going about 13 years ago, but no more. This is the last time that they get any of my business... and technically they did NOT get any business because I waited for almost 30 minutes with a reservation and 10+ other people checked in at the front, there were no more updates from the staff. They disappeared. I didn't see ANY tables being served at all. 2 people came and got to go orders, maybe they ordered early in the morning, or maybe last week because they knew how slow and inept the "restaurant" is.
The high points were the number of customers wearing masks and the self-promotional video shown in the lobby area. But I'm tired of these places existing that do nothing for customers, are self-serving and completely nonchalant about customer service. I will celebrate once this location (and possibly the chain itself) implodes and is shut down permanently.
I love Benihana. But, I come here once a year with a $30 birthday certificate, and always feel like they value me like a begger when I do. This time they actually came out before my reservation to explain to me that I was going to have to order an adult entree before my voucher would even apply to my order - as if I were suddenly going to be forced to leave! This time, I felt even more less valued. I felt rushed through my meal. They even served my dessert in a to go container - ice cream - to go! I eat slow. I know that. But, the other table guests didn't bother to make sure they got their dessert course - they assumed (since we were not asked what flavor ice cream we wanted) that we were wrong that this was INCLUDED in the meal! So, they had just left 5 minutes ago and I asked about the ice cream and they said "yes, it's included" and then brought it to go. It wasn't like they had any other customers waiting for a table, either - they were practically empty. I was thinking - before I got this review request - that I may try another location next birthday.

Extremely understaffed. Waited more than 90 minutes at the grill before a chef came to prepare the food. The food and the chef were both great, but not worth waiting 2 hours for. My waitress was AWESOME though!!!!! this is the second time that I have gone to this restaurant and the first time I waited a little over an hour to be seated with a reservation. And this time hoping it would be better, I had a 7:00 reservation, got seated around 7:30 and didn't see the chef until around 9. I would recommend others to go to this restaurant, caution them that they would probably have to wait a couple hours before being served. That really put a damper on the experience, in my opinion.

My reservation was scheduled for 7:30 to which my party arrived 30min early. We weren't seated until about 8:15pm. We weren't allowed to order drinks or shots at the bar while waiting to alleviate some of the urgency we had to sit and eat. Also, the chefs were limited therefore, our chef didn't begin to cook for us until about 9:20-9:30pm. The dinner was schedule for my daughter's birthday so kids were very impatient and had multiple complaints. I do thank them though as they were able to accommodate an additional few guests as I informed them I tried calling the day prior and the morning and afternoon of the dinner but no one answered the line so i could add guests. I pressed all options for the reservation and take out line but still, no answer.
Had a reservation at 1:30pm and didn’t get seated until 2pm. Our chef didn’t come to our table until 2:30pm.

Party of 6 birthday dinner. Chef baker prepared our hibachi. He was personable and his food was really good. I was apprehensive about making a reservation here bc of the reviews on opentable but our visit was outstanding and we all left happy. They were appropriately adhering to social Distancing practices and the wait was not long for us to be seated. Will definitely visit again.
