Service is great,
Our chef made the experience fun and the food was excellent.
Had a 2:15 reservation but they didn’t get started until almost an hour later. Other than that everything else was pretty much fine
Excellent tasty food but had to wait for a chef for almost an hour. Meal took almost three hours. Not a place if you are in any kind of hurry. There prices have gone up about 20%.
Dirty sticky table, settings not clean. Food was WAY too salty, sushi roll was too big to actually pick up and eat easily. Very expensive for a hibachi experience
It was a memorable experience in a negative
Always love their food! There was a big lack in communication of the hostess that it would be over a 40 minute wait for lunch. They are working off reservations only which was not mention that there would be an extended wait. I had to ask after 25 minutes of waiting if there were any other options for eating other than hibachi table side. We were seated at a table and waited another 15 minutes. Great food, poor communication...we all understand there is a pandemic but for goodness sake connect with customers and let them know what is going on with wait times and lack of servers. It was a stressful birthday lunch trying to eat and get to an appt. Wont be back there until the pandemic is over.
Trash out side restaurant and hibachi grill filthy crumbs on floor.
Our reservation was for 730 we sat down at 750. We didn't eat until 930. Our waitress was new and she really didn't explain the menu to us. Our chef was new and was scared to cook. He didn't do any tricks. It took forever for him to come out he didn't give us double portion even though we ordered double portion. The chef told my aunt he couldn't keep answering her questions, but she was asking questions about her food! It was my husband's birthday and he didn't enjoy his self at all. My uncle salmon was disgusting and half cooked. My sister food took so long she took her whole meal to go. I made the reservation so I was apologizing to everyone at the end of the night.
They were kind of slow at first but the CHEF DERRICK WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!! Food was amazing!!!! And I don’t recall the waitresses name that served us was some sweet hearts. I will go back to the Alpharetta location. @Trap.Commander #HeHell F4F
Derrick and Renee` did a great job. Food was good but seemed to have a little more butter than I remembered.
I get emails regularly but didn’t realize they had been open since January.
Chef was really good. Total comedy show, did some funny tricks I have never seen before
The worst experience I’ve ever had at Benihana. Cook forgot food, messed up orders several times.
Make sure you plan to spend a lot of time here. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were there until 8:30.
Service was way too slow. Our chef was awesome but besides that, everything else was only ok. Had reservations and didn’t get seated until 20 minutes after our scheduled reservation.
We arrived at our reserved time only be seated 30 mins later. Our table waited 20 mins for drinks (another 15 mins for children drinks). Another 30 mins for the soup and salad to arrive. Keep in mind, it was the end of the night so it was not busy at all. Manager was called to our table because of how poor the server was doing her job. Pete, the manager was disrespectful and confrontational. He was not open to helping us solve our issue. Another party was extremely loud to the point out chef had a problem with the noise. Our chef came to our table about an hour and half AFTER we were seated. Outside of the food being amazing, it is not enough to get me to return.
I love Benihana! This location had some issues in the recent past but they are back. We had the absolute best dinner we have ever had at any Benihana! HOA was our chef and he was the best. The food he prepared was outstanding. Everything was cooked to perfection. I will certainly ask for him again. If you go please ask for Hoa as he really knows how to cook and season the food. He even made us a special dipping sauce that was out of this world. I WILL BE DINING AGAIN SOON!
Service was friendly but not accurate. Food shortage. Not the typical portions and items were missing. Cook tried to ration what he had. Restaurant not clean. Overall food was tasty.
Waitress was missing the entire night. It was not busy at all and after she brought the drinks she was MIA. We had to ask people walking by for help. We wanted to tip the cook, but she made it clear her got 9% of her tip. I just couldn’t justify tipping her 52.00 for water. I’m certain she didn’t split the cash I left.
Always on point
First time to this Benihana restaurant. Love coming to these types of places.
First impressions were slow. Had a 7:30pm rez and took 10-15 mins to get us seated. Couldn’t understand why when it didn’t look that busy. Anyway, got sat down around 7;45pm and then waited another 10-15 minutes to get the waitress. She apologized saying that she didn’t realize we were waiting. She was very pleasant and after taking our drinks order, we waited again.
By the time we’d arrived, sat down, had drinks and taken the food order, it was 8:30. Managed to get chef Jose, who was GREAT btw, around 8:45pm and cooked our meals. Always great to watch these chefs make your food in front of you. Magic tricks and comical entertainment. Thanks Jose. Derrick another chef was behind and he seemed great too.
I’m thinking it’s just a little mismanaged and needs to quicken up the process. Our waitress was GREAT too and she seemed to be busy with multiple tables.
Always great experience, but not too sure I’d be back to this venue if we’d get the same waiting experience.
Staff great, very friendly and ambience great. Chefs always amazing. Thanks again Jose.
Apart from the waiting, great place.
The waitress nails were too long and unprofessional.
Her nail kept dipping in the food she brought us.
I asked for a tea she brought me a alcoholic drink instead when I told her I was on medication and couldn't have drnks. She was close about getting things for us.My husband had to wait on his fork finally the chef wentbto another table and got him one.The chef kept forgetting food items he had to keep running back to the kitchen.
It is not the same experience of what Benihama concept started with
What happen to the towels being brought out to wash your hands?Especially with covaid 19.We will not be back .We need the consistency f service back and authentic of Benihana.
Good food and atmosphere. Always a good dining experience.
The cook was forgetting things he needed to cook with. Server was slow to bring out salad and soup, and also had everyone bill messed up.
Celebrating our marine nephew’s return from his first deployment which was nine months in the Middle East protecting our country.
Bad vibes. Walked in with a reservation and was told to sit down until they had something ready. Sat there for 15 minutes with no other communication and watched walk ins come in and be sat before us. We eventually left. Such a weird feeling in there. Bad vibes is the best way to explain it.
Dinner took 4 hrs!!!! I think they were short staffed. The chef did not want to take suggestions on how we wanted our meals prepared and food came out bland and he confused a couple of the orders so some people did not get what they ordered. Normally love Benihana but this felt like a waste of money.
Mo created a wonderful experience for the guests. There was lots of space for people who choose to continue to socially distance from others.
Smell terrible and the tables dirty.
The service is horrible. The wait was long. They lost our reservation but again The service was Terrible!!!!
I had not been to a Benihana's in years and this occasion did not meet my expectations. We had reservations for 7PM. My entire party was there at 7PM but we were not seated until nearly 7:30. There were plenty of tables available but I did not complain. I also did not understand why we were seated immediately next to another family when there were empty hibachi tables with plenty of room elsewhere. Our server kept bumping into the chef of the table right next to us.
The food and service was great. Overall, an OK experience.
Our server, Nicole and chef Jose were awesome and made our experience a great one.
Worst Benihana experience EVER! We visited this location for my wife's birthday. The host was a jerk, was told the bar was closed and we couldn't get a drink while we were waiting for the table. Come to find out that was not correct! We sat down around the time of our reservation. However, sat there for an hour and a half waiting for the chief. We had to ask the management team where our chief was, and they told us "another five min". Well... That came and went and another guest at our table had to come ask for an update. They said "3 min.". The chef was ok. He apologized for the wait, and cooked the food without the "show", which was OK because at this point it was 11:30 PM. We got our food and my wife was no longer hungry and refused to eat the food, as it was after midnight at this point. When confronted the management team about the issues we experienced at this location, they did NOT seem to care. After asking for them to comp our food for the issues, they claim they gave us a 30% discount. I proceeded to explain to the management team that we did not eat our food, and it was 12:30 AM at this point our food needed to be taken care of. The manager REFUSED to address any of the concerns that all of guest brought up. He refused to take care of any of the check. I told him that I would dispute the Benihana off my credit card that I gave them because we did not eat any of the food, and we and we did not get taken care of like we should have at a Benihana. I would not recommend this Benihana location to ANYONE!
BEWARE - DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!
Apparently they were short on cooks, but that info was never communicated to our table. We were seated and sat at our table over an hour when someone went to go see what was going on. At that point we were told by the manager, who sat us, about them be short staffed and that a chef was walking over then. Another 20 mins passed before an actual chef came to cook our food. I received a different meal than what I ordered. The waitress, who we rarely saw, put the wrong in for me. I was so tired and hungry that I ate it. To make matters worse, everyone at our table had items added to our bill that took another 20 mins to correct.
We always come to this location even it’s further from our house , because we love the service and the amazing food master chef cooked. Yesterday,We come to celebrate my son’s birthday . The hostess and waitress was very friendly , we like the service and appreciated that they created warm service experience , however, the food was horrible .
I can tell the chef is so new and he may not even have any cook experience. He came to cook without preparing everything he need. He left us for at least three times to get additional food to cook. My uncles chicken was over cooked, my husbands scallop was undercooked . Even our favorite chicken fried rice taste hard and salty… we ordered 6 order of chicken fried rice, if you could imagine how much we loved it , then you probably have idea how disappointed we are .
This gentleman really doesn’t know how to cook , everything tastes salty . We are truly disappointed about the food.
Took a while to get seated even with reservations. After seated, took a while to get server to table for initial service. A nearby table who sat down after our table was served faster. Server was very nice and attentive. Cook was good and food was tasty but not much of a show. Overall nice experience.
Our chef was great and personable but outside of that our entire experience was appalling. It took literally an hour for us to even get our water, half our party didn’t get soup on time, the salads were completely missed, it was just a horrible experience. Definitely not worth $30-40 a plate.
Food level has gone down a lot food was super greasy too much butter and oil and was so salty I couldn’t even eat, I counted our chef put salt on the rice 6 times while cooking it! And the meat he put 7 scoops of butter plus oil he had to shake it before putting it on our plates. They need to train staff better on seasoning and oil ratios.
Very good experience! Very pleased with the staff and the food!
I had reservation for 9 pm, the cook came out 10:15 pm to star cooking, we waited for more than one hour for our food to start to get cook.
My family and I have been going to Benihana for years and I brought my boyfriend for the first time today. The food was always good but the experience today was amazing. The service, the food ( of course), and overall we had a great time. Please ask for Steve if you are ever at this location! He not only chefed up a delicious dinner but also cracked the best jokes. We were laughing and having a good conversation the whole dinner! Our server Josh was awesome as well and all the servers were very nice and attentive.
We hope to visit again soon!!
