While we expected a casual scene in a restaurant setting we were seated in the bar on new years eve. It was extremely crowded in the bar and I felt uncomfortably tight. We had reservations and as such I would have hoped to be seated in the restaurant portion not a high top in the bar. Delicious food, very attentive wait staff. Would not go for a special occasion again, rather a casual Friday night dinner, or a drink and some pizza.
Our favorite restaurant in the North End for great red sauce Italian food. Great Pizza and pastas. Not the chic hot spot like many Hanover Street restaurants but we think its the best. Almost don't want everyone to know.
Food and service was excellent. I will be a frequent visitor here.
Classic Italian place with city vibes. Great food and great service.
In the North End there are lots of spots to go for pizza. We chose this place by chance and were so happy we did! The pizza and ambience were perfect!
The staff did a great job of accommodating our large group, which is a challenge in the north end. We will definitely return.
Every time Rome we done here it's always amazing!!! Although all restaurants in the NorthEnd aw delicious, this one by far is the best!!!!!
I had a reservation for 7:00 and our party wasn't seated until 7:25. When we finally were seated, they tried to put 5 of us at a table for 4 and we had to pull another table over. We did get a free appetizer after complaining about the wait but being seated so late did mess up the plans we had made for after dinner. Great food but when I use pentacle for a reservation, I expect to be able to rely on that reservation.
Very noisy small place. Food was good but typical north end they cram you in.
Good service, good price, nice experience!
Have been to Benevento's several times and always have a great meal and great service. Highly recommend the eggplant rolotini appetizer!
We go to this restaurant every time we are in Boston. They have the best pizza and it was so good we ended up ordering a second one for the two of us. Great food in general, really cute inside and the staff are always nice.
Good. A bit noisy but manageable.
The food was fantastic. Even though it was packed, the food was brought out right away. Only complaint was seating. Originally we were seated right in front of the door. We moved ourselves to open seats at the bar.
I've dined here multiple times and not one time has disappointed! Their pizza is some of the best I've had, and every one I've tried has been unique and delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I would recommend a reservation as the place seems to be busier every time I go in. One of my favorite places to go in Boston!
The homemade fusilli was sooo good! Loved it! The fried calimari and bruschetta appetizers were also delicious! Will be coming back to Benevento's soon and bringing more friends so they can enjoy the terrific food also.
Good sized portions. I had the gnocchi and my wife had ravioli with sausage. The gnocchi were definitely homemade, but really heavy....not like you would expect in a really good Italian restaurant. The sauce was VERY garlicky. My wife's ravioli were also good, but again not great. Appeared to be homemade but again very heavy and thick pasta. She was expecting something thinner and lighter. Overall, good but not great.
I was asked to make a reservation for a group of us in town for a meeting. I wanted to make sure that we went to a place that was good. I had visited Benevento's two years ago and had given it a great review. It was even better the second time around. We shared Fried Calamari, Bruchetta and a Capri Salad. All were excellent. Everyone loved their meal - I had the Chicken Marsala which delicious. It is definitely a go to place and the prices are more than reasonable!
Wonderful food, friendly service.
Fast service. Had to be to a show and they got it done quick. Excellant service and amazing food.
Homemade pasta. Great for Gluten - Free folks. Service was personable. Like eating in your Italian Grandmothers Home. A definite keeper!!
Great price , friendly wait staff, and quick ! Did I mention amAzing food
Good food, tight seating, small and pricy drinks, prices are good for food, was short changed and took a while to get attention to get it fixed. All in all, will be back.
Good, solid Italian food, reasonably-priced for the North End. Nothing was "wow" but everything was fine. A nice option for families. Our waitress was super-friendly and very attentive.
Reasonable prices (for the North end). Great entrees and pizza. Space is small and tight hence the wait issues since it is hard to turn tables when people want to be there. Be patient.
Whenever we go into Boston we stop at Benevento's for pizza. It is so tasty with a thin crisp crust, yummy sauce and toppings and just the right amount a cheese. Add in a salad and some cocktails and it doesn't get any better. The restaurant is small but very pretty inside.
Went for a family dinner with one person that is allergic to wheat, and another to dairy. They accommodated both very nicely by modifying one recipe and for the other, had something available right off the menu. Great service too.
Great atmosphere and the food was excellent! We did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Other than that, the experience was great.
I find most of the North End restaurants have very similar menus, including Beneventos. Benevento's was good but nothing unique. We had a reservation and still waited 45 minutes, which was annoying.
As always the food and drinks were wonderful staff is excellent. Props as always to the chef
Loved the food. Waitstaff actually pushed us out after meal was done. Don't go if you want to enjoy a night out with friends you won't be able to enjoy each other's company.
The food was excellent and the service staff (Alex) had the right mix of efficiency and personality, neither too stiff nor too casual.
Delicious gnocchi with bolognese sauce. Great lasagna -odd that it had one not so big meatball. Amazing sauce!
I love Benevento's. I've never had a bad meal-my favorites are the lobster ravioli, Spukoni pizza, and just their pizza in general. Always great service and even on the weekends I've barely had to wait for a table. It's a must on my list when I have visitors from out of town!
We had a wonderful experience but, had made a reservation for 8:30 and didn't sit until 9:20. I thought they might give us an app or a round of drinks for patiently waiting but, they did not. That was the only downside- server was great and food was great.
We ate dinner there this past Saturday night. Our waitress, Diane, was great. She was friendly, affable and didn't rush us, even though the restaurant was very busy. Enjoyable food. I had the pumpkin raviolis that were perfect. The sauce was tasty and the raviolis melted in your mouth. My daughter had the arugula salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her dad had the arugula pizza, which he said was very good. Definitely would return.
We had booked a table for lunch for my son's birthday. Our server was terrific, knowledgeable, and quick! We had delicious appetizers . And enjoyed picking out our entrees, which were incredible. We did not have to wait long for any of our food or drinks. They were served hot and really fresh. We definitely will be back again!
Everything was wonderful highly recommend
Food was wonderful but waited 45 mins for table even with a reservation.
Whenever we are in Boston and craving pizza we go to Benevento's. Their pizza is thin and crispy with a tasty sauce and delicious toppings. They also have excellent margaritas which are very large for the price. We are not wine drinkers but they seem to have a large selection. Definitely a must try in the North End!
