    Bender"s has three private dining areas to choose from. The Original Ladies Dining Room will host up to 65 people for sit down dining. The rooms original mosaic tile floor, dark wood walls and an original dry bar creates a wonderful atmosphere for a smaller business function or rehearsal that would need space for cocktail hour or hors d'oeurves. The Green Room will host up to 50 for a sit down dining or becomes a great space for a smaller event that requires A/V equipment, or a smaller feel for a special occasion. The Private Back Main area will seat up to 16 for sit down dining. The space is ideal for a small birthday party, business function or special event. Bender's service and culinary staff prides itself on serving large groups with individual attention to personal needs and quality efficient service.

    Food was beyond excellent. Wife had stuffed flounder and I had lightly breaded shrimp that just melted in our mouths. Our sever was so friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely planning to return soon

    A group of six we had a lovely meal and found all our choices excellent. Two of us had the Lake Perch special, the portions were very generous and delicious. Those that had steaks were very pleased as well as was our party that had the haddock. The food is always of excellent quality and the service welcoming, friendly and professional. We have been to Bender’s many, many times over the years and we always come back to the same issue, the noise level in the dinning area is harder and harder to tolerate. We try to get in early before the dinner rush so we at least have a bit of time to relax and enjoy some conversation with each other, but once other diners arrive the noise level goes up tremendously to the point where we can’t hear each other and our service personnel can’t hear us either! We’ll be back, but we usually try to keep our party size down to 2-4 so we can sit in the bar area which is very limited in size… We do enjoy Bender’s and we hope they can find a way to mediate the noise issue. We’d absolutely be more likely to come in more often if they address the problem.

    Fabulous as always❤️Had 2 guests from California and N Carolina so had to take them there. Everyone enjoyed the food from cheeseburgers to Lobster. Thank you Bender's and to our great waiter whom I forgot his name!

    Our server was right out of training (Gretchen) and did a great job! The beet and the Benders tomato salad was amazing. Anything ala Foley is great! The cook on my tuna was spot on. Make sure to get the Buffalo Trace parfait!

    We went for our anniversary dinner and the food was delicious as usual. We had the yellow fin tuna dinner with salad and rice and the crab stuffed flounder with salad and baked potato. Our food was perfectly prepared and our drinks were very good as well. We had their key lime tart for dessert and it was sooo tasty! Service was wonderful ! Benders remains one of our favorite places to dine in the area!

    Wonderful experience. My mom is 98 wheelchair bound and accessibility was perfect. Staff was sooo attentive. They Called early the morning of reservation and advised where to park and what door to bring Mom through. David, our server is simply excellent. We love him and ask for him whenever we can. Food as always is top notch! Just love dining at Benders every chance I (we) get. Thank you so much for a wonderful dining / caring experience.

    Had a reservation everything was good for is getting seated waitress came with drinks rolls which was hard as a rock had to return later ordered dinner wife ordered fillet very good I ordered special king salmon on a ride I brought regular salmon baked potato was cold and hard $100 dinner was not worth $20

    We met family from California for dinner at Bender’s because of the history of the restaurant and our past experiences there. We had 2 of the specials, lightly fried key lime shrimp and I believe it was cajun swordfish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the wine. Our server was amazing! It was busy but we received our drinks, appetizer and meals in a timely manner. We are so glad we chose Benders for dinner!

    Bender's has always been one of my favorites. However, Saturday was not a great experience as far as the quality and value of the food. My large prime rib was the same exact size as one of the people dining with us, and his was the smaller prime rib. My wife's shrimp alfredo had 3 mediocre size shrimp on it. The Long Island ice tea, top shelf, was very weak. I will still visit Bender's but I will loudly complain if this happens again.

    I don't live in Canton any longer, but when I do get back to town I always eat at this 100+ year-old establishment. Bender's is simply one of the best restaurants in all of Ohio. Their fresh seafood from Foley's is outstanding. The Bender fries and the spinach mushroom salad with hot bacon dressing are to die for. Did I mention the cocktails? Their take on a Manhattan is killer. Bender's is a classic old-school restaurant without pretensions. Outstanding food + great service = a memorable dinner. I can recommend Bender's Tavern without reservation.

    Only second time for me but as good as promised. Sorry I missed the Pork Shoulder Thursday. It is delicious. My wife loved the lunch and dessert. She wants me to take her back for another lunch and a dinner. The wait staff is outstanding. I live to go to eateries like this.

    At an upscale restaurant that has been around for 100 years you would not expect to be served an inedible sandwich. Asked the server if the corned beef was lean. She said it was very lean. Asked for the dressing in the side. Sandwich came and looked like uncooked bacon. (With the dressing on it, not in the side). The meat was 90% fat. Lost my appetite just looking at it. Shame on the kitchen for letting that abomination be served. I like Bender's. But if I were anyone I would stick to dinner and seafood. Obviously lunch and non dinner entrees are not a good choice. PS. I was sent an email from Benders about having soft shell crabs. Love those! (But we're "not available" for lunch. Overall a terrible experience and not worthy of Benders.

    Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. If everything had been perfect, I would have given 5 stars. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. We never felt rushed and it seemed that the staff was genuinely concerned that our visit was enjoyable. There were a couple of areas that could be improved upon. Cocktails: my wife's was perfect. I ordered a vodka gimlet very cold and was given a vodka Gibson-very cold. When I pointed this out, my waiter quickly brought me a vodka gimlet apparently made a little TOO quickly because it was not very cold at all. Food: My wife's filet was ordered rare and while it tasted great, it was, at best, medium rare. The broccoli she ordered, according to her, was fantastic. My jumbo lump crab meat cocktail was certainly fresh crabmeat, but it was definitely NOT jumbo lump-shredded is a more apt description. The Chilean sea bass was to die for. Tomatoes as a salad were excellent. All in all, as rated: very good. Perhaps my expectations were too high.
