A Bender's Classic for over 60 years!
Slow Roasted Prime Rib
Fri & Sat Only
Alaskan King Crab Legs
Great food. Family owned and great service.
Quality and class
Impeccable! The reservation process was very smooth. I had to call a couple of times to alter the number in our party and it was not a problem. I reserved the prime rib ahead of time as they ran out on a prior visit. All of our food was delicious, steaks prepared as ordered, and seafood exactly as described. The turtle soup is the best you’ll ever have and the calamari is exceptional (it’s not battered and deep fried like most places). Our server, Shawn, was very personable, called us by name, knew the menu thoroughly, was very helpful in making selections, described the food accurately, and was a really nice guy. We will request him on our next visit.
Lovely decor. Lovely service. Absolutely fabulous food!!! Will be back!!
Excellent as always.
Fantastic food - great service! Love the Maine mussels as appetizer; I had the Chilean Sea bass special and my husband the Tuna. Both were perfectly prepared.
Excellent food and service.
Great food and the atmosphere was awesome. They did a great job with COVIS protocols and made the special night even more special.
Food and service was excellent. Where the owner decided to seat us....not so good. We were seated in a main traffic area for the room. There were several open tables throughout the restaurant and we did not realize that until we were seated and ordered drinks. I feel like we were shuffled off to Buffalo.
We dined outside it was a perfect evening the special was fantastic and our waiter was great, a lot of fun .
Bender’s never disappoints. We dined outdoors at sunset with a nice view of downtown and the courthouse angels. Wonderful!
I just love the Broccoli and cheddar quiche..... delicious.
Bender’s never disappoints. The food and the service is always the best. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
Great seafood selections!!! Be sure to make a reservation 👍. Fast and very friendly service! We will be back!
Impeccable service from start to finish. Very clean and tables were spread out.
Benders never disappoints!
We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary
Great experience as usual at Benders. Love the turtle soup and the martinis were great.
We were unfortunately disappointed. It was our 23rd anniversary so we decided to splurge on what we knew would be an expensive meal. What we got for the money however was what was a surprise. I ordered the crab entre which was $57 dollars. What i received for that was far less than other restaurants where I have ordered crab. I decided on a wedge salad rather than a garden salad and it was literally a chunk of lettuce with blue cheese dressing. Oh, and I got charged extra for that. My king crab was pretty tough which was surprising because it is hard to mess up crab legs. My wife had 2 lobster tails and again they were very tough and chewy. Quite honestly, for the price it was one of the worst seafood meals we have had. Very dissapointed.
We love Bender’s! We try to go whenever we are in the area. They’ve adapted well for COVID. We can’t wait to come back!
Way overpriced for the food. Just an overall below average experience. Doesn’t warrant white table cloths.
My son and I had a great lunch. Food was delicious as usual! We enjoyed two of the daily lunch specials (burger with portobello and Brie and the seared scallops with jalapeño, corn and black beans), as well as the smoked peppered mackerel.
Our server, Rachel made our evening very enjoyable. She made every effort to talk about the history of the building and family as well as the food we chose. We had appetizers, wine, swordfish, schrod ala Foley, shared a Key Lime tart and coffee. We ordered 3 desserts for our children to go. With tip we spent over 200.00.
Julie was great! The food was great! First time in Canton. Friends told us about Bender's. I love the Bender fries!
Unique outside dining on patio.
Excellent as Expected
This is one of the finer dining experiences I've had and I have had a lot. Service was excellent and the service was first class. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed every aspect of our visit. This is definitely on our list to visit when we are in the Canton area again.
Excellent traditional American restaurant in Canton OH. Overall quality steaks/seafood; nothing avante garde.
Service was excellent as we sat outside on their extended ‘patio’.
Slow service but not bad. Food ok
Beautiful historic building, amazing food and exceptional service. A great experience, well worth the price!
King crab legs amazing. Blue fin tuna perfect
We celebrated our anniversary on Thursday. Whenever we come to Canton area we always stop at Benders. It is our favorite restaurant. Mary is just an amazing server and we always ask for her. Food was delicious, drinks perfect and the ambiance perfect. Thank you for always making our special evening top notch. Kudos to the entire Bender team.
Can’t beat the fish/seafood selections. Love Mary, our server!
I took my wife for her birthday because we wanted to try something new and we were not disappointed. Our table was available a few minutes before our reservation and it was a beautiful weather night and we enjoyed the live entertainment. It was loud enough to hear but not too loud so you could carry on a conversation. We will be back for sure!! Oh yeah - the food was awesome!!
Food and service was excellent!!!
Without a doubt the best seafood dinner I have ever had. We will be coming back again and again. Even if the food wasn’t as amazing as it was the service alone is a reason to go there. Spectacular!
Love the historic building. The food and the service were very good. Definitely a place to go for a celebration, a work lunch or dinner or just for a delicious fish or steak meal.
Our server Erica was great. The food was delicious.
On a different note a group of four in our same dining upon receiving their bill started playing at full volume on their cell phone a rap song. This lasted for at least five minutes and continued through the restaurant until they exited. I had never really witnessed that kind of rudeness at a fine dining establishment. While this was not a fault of Bender's, the staff did not address it. I am assuming the staff feared of losing tip money if it was addressed. Is this a new tactic in restaurants to drum up excuses to not pay your bill or leave no tip? Or was this literally the first time anyone has done this? It seemed really rude and bizarre.
