Overall it was good, ordered a steak medium rare but got medium well, a little over cooked.

We really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return. Our food was beautifully prepared and presented. I loved my Niagara College cider, well-balanced and just the right amount of sweetness.

I would have given food a higher rating but unfortunately 3 of our entrees came out cold (we all ordered the fish). Quality was excellent so too bad it was cold. Still like the place. Location beautiful and staff very good.

We were really impressed with the menu and wine as well as service. The ambience could have been a little less cafeteria like but other than that, a great spot!

We love supporting Niagara College and have been to the restaurant many times. Great service and ambience. I have previously enjoyed the Korean inspired dish. This time I had the cod for dinner and unfortunately it was not hot enough, just lukewarm which detracted. Hopefully better next time.

Great food and wonderful service
Second time there. Found out how great the service was and food and came back.
After a hectic time at the outlets it was great to have a quite lunch before our 3 hour drive home.
The best burger we have ever had.
Thanks Benchmark

Pizza was very bland, chicken sandwich delicious and tofu entree very good.

Staff are pleasant but not very engaging.

As much as I’d like to return, my lunch guests felt it was expensive.

Good food. A tad pricey. Great wine and beer. Filling up the rest with blah blah blah to reach 50 characters. Totally stupid requirement.

The atmosphere was amazing. The entire campus is gorgeous. We had the squash appetizer. It was very yummy. The maple sauce was fabulous and the squash sticks were very hot with just the right amount of breading. I had a burger and it was very tasty and very filling.

We thought the restaurant was beautiful, even on a dark cold winter evening. Service was very good. The Charcuterie meats were made in house, delicious. Very ordinary crackers were disappointing, dumped on top of the tray. Our main course was disappointing. Lamb Bolognese arrived looking small in its large bowl. It had white chip like lumps on top(vegetable) and just was unappealing. The pasta was cooked nicely. The sauce we felt was really bland. We hoped for a table side sprinkle of cheese, non offered, even when we asked.
We tried the schools NC wines and enjoyed them. Dessert was good, well plated but, so chilled that the flavours were muted by the coldness. How sad they couldn’t have had a few minutes out before serving to do them justice.
This was a fairly expensive meal, would not do it again.
The restaurant does offer pizza, and burger choices maybe we would have been happier with these.
The restaurant was not at all busy.

Great service , great food . Small menu but encompassed all the basics fish steak chicken pizza. If you go order the bread with the honey butter it is delish. I would go again . Nice ambience.

The food was very good and the staff very courteous. There was just one snafu which was apologized profusely for with a mint sorbet as atonement. So no worries.

First off, superb service from a great staff. Next, a well thought out menu. We lucked out because the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu was still active and was really, really good. Portions generous, well prepared and both visually and taste-wise, delectable.
The onsite brewery and winery provided a very interesting addition with their beer and wine flights. Well worth the drive !!!!!

We really enjoyed our dinner. The Valentines Day menu was still going on several days later. The food was fantastic and very fresh. The manager gave me a copy of a recipe when I asked how the sorbet was made, which made me so happy. Worth the drive to Niagara for sure.

This is the second time we have been here. Each time we had young children with us. The restaurant is quite accommodating to the dietary needs of our children. This visit being a time when there is only the Valentine's menu, the kitchen that accommodate by providing additional children's menu items. Christian, our server, was very attentive, polite and helpful. For the price point, we felt the food what's excellent. Favorite was the slow-roasted Angus striploin. It was extremely juicy and tender. Highly recommended spot

This was my first time here but won’t be my last. The restaurant was lovely with a beautiful snowy scene out the ambundant windows. Terrific food and very friendly staff. They provided a beautiful piece of pumpkin cheeseCake for my friend’s birthday as well. Amazing to know that the kitchen is staffed with students from Niagara College’s culinary program. Well done!!!

Food and facilities were excellent, and the availability and range of onsite craft beers and local wines made the experience all the more enjoyable. The hot beet salad was amazing, as were the scallops (Mary Jane) and cod (Dave). The bread appetizer was great, but perhaps could have been paired with some dipping oils/sauces. All in all, well worth the hour's drive. We'll be back. :)

I was in Niagara for a weekend trip with some friends. We spent the afternoon going around to wineries and we needed a place to eat dinner. As no one was familiar with the area, we went onto Opentable to search and came across Benchmark.

Wow ! What an amazing place. The restaurant is on college campus and it is run, to my understanding, by students in various programs at the college. The restaurant even serves the college's own beer and wines and features wines from wineries or vineyards that their alumni are a part of. The food uses local ingredients.

I will definitely come back again.

Wonderful to support the culinary students in Niagara. The food was great as was the Niagara College Wine and Bear. The server was knowledgeable , and smiling. Everyone should add this spot to their restaurant list for any medium to high end dining at a reasonable price with good atmosphere. Good for larger crowds and couple dining. You may not be greeted when you walk-in but just go to the bar for prompt service.
