Nicely laid out space. . Tables were well spaced. Excellent steak and fish Prices were moderate given the quality of the food.
It was over price for crappy food not worth it I been to restaurants and spent 3/400 on dinner but was well worth it

Overall pretty good. The crab appetizer tasted “fishy” so it went back unfinished but the duck entree was delicious! Really good wine list. I’d dine here again.
We went for my husband's birthday and found the service to be very rushed and unimpressive.
It was not the level of service we have experienced in the past.
We had dinner here with visiting family this past weekend. The service was very slow and very spotty. Never did get my hot tea after dinner. The food was mostly good to great. The beet / burrata salad was delicious and all the meat options that my fellow dinners ordered looked fantastic. I had the acorn squash and quinoa dish and that was not tasty or pleasurable to eat at all. We've been here a few times over the past 4-6 years, and the service is not usually stellar but usually much better. And this place is not for vegetarians.
Food was exquisite but the setting, ambience, service and noise levels were well below the expectations we had of such an expensive restaurant.
The entrance was surprising for a restaurant of this price point - a white marquis with outside tables. The real restaurant was at the end of the marquis. The table kept on shaking and the server seemed annoyed by us asking to fix it. The waiters were rushing us - they kept trying to take away our plates when we were not yet done. This happened four times.

The restaurant was cozy and quiet. The food, especially the fillet minion, was very good.
I went for restaurant week and it was amazing!!! Had the beet salad, quinoa squash with mashed potatoes & veggies & the pecan bread pudding with bourbon gelato. One of the best meals of my life!! I will definitely be coming back!

We went during the restaurant week and found the food to be average at best. The only thing memorable was there were not many people there so the service was excellent. We won't be returning.
Nice place, small and intimate and bit on the pricy side. The food was good but average , not good enough to justify the prices.
We where a little rushed in the end because it was getting late, but still it was a Saturday night and shortly after we left and we’re standing outside chatting the waitress left even if there still where still other patrons still in the restaurant.
Disappointing from the tiny drink at the bar, no ambience, all the way to very average food (good steak) and service.
While it's not quite terrible yet, there are many better choices.
Always wanted to try this restaurant. So did so during Restsurant week.
Lovely space, great menu.
My only criticism is that none of our food arrived hot. It had obviously been plated much earlier. The sauce had set and everything was barely warm.

Took advantage of restaurant week, also to celebrate birthday since we recently move to a block away. The best foods were the foi gras, ribeye steak, cod, short rib and scallops. The desserts were excellent that finishes up a great meal and evening.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. Food was delicious. Had the spicy lobster salad as an appetizer -so delicious! For dinner we had the ribeye and the salmon with wild mushroom and creamed spinach; fantastic tasting dishes. Dessert you have to go with the bread pudding; it was out of this world good.
We went for restaurant week and the menu was incredible. We had the beet salad and scallops appetizer, both of which were delicious. The filet minon was perfectly cooked. The best part was the cookie dough egg roll- a must!
You couldn't ask for much more. Three of us went for dinner after a movie and were all very pleased with our experience.
This was our first time here and we loved it. Our waiter was attentive and thorough. The food was incredible. Even the music (a playlist) was great. Highly recommend.
We live close by and have been wanting to try Benchmark for a long time, so we had lunch there during Restaurant Week. It was delightful! It's a comfortable and interesting space and our server was charming and very attentive. My ginormous burger was delicious, as were the fries. My husband's short rib was also beautifully done, tender and flavorful. The desserts, especially the sweet egg roll, were creative and scrumptious. We will definitely return for dinner soon!
The food is really delicious and cooked well to order. However, on this occasion I had to send my burger back because it was overcooked & dry. The replacement was delicious! MUSIC IS ALWAYS WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO LOUD and the staff has an attitude about lowering the volume. No one EVER picks up the phone. Service is friendly, but not very professional. In general, Benchmark is a terrific addition to the neighborhood. The room is comfortable & relaxing.

There are no other good steak places in my neighborhood , Benchmark should be the benchmark for what good steak is and what it should cost. I can't get past the 11 oz Filet and I usually have a rib eye or a strip, maybe next time!! Brussels are great and the hand cut fries simple and ridiculously good. This will become a regular spot for us!
My girlfriend and I were having our parents meet for the first time and it couldn't have gone any better. Ambiance and service were great and the food was even better! I recommend the foie gras and scallops appetizers and for dinner go with the Ribeye! Only thing they can improve is getting there system to accept gift cards a bit better!
Stout cocktails, great food and service. The seared foie gras was perfect and the wet aged bone in ribeye was done really well with a nice crusty sear without being overdone!
David- the afternoon waiter is always friendly and accommodating! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the burger on brioche with the AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING homemade french fries.

Food was great. Service was mediocre; I’ve experienced friendlier servers there. But still an overall pleasant and enjoyable experience.
My boyfriend and I had really high expectations coming in. While the ambience and lighting was wonderful and romantic, our waitress was rather unpleasant with a haughty air. The impact was that this made us feel less than welcome. The food was underwhelming and tasteless; our dessert of "strawberry shortcake" was leftover French toast with whipped cream and unripe strawberries on top. The prices do not match the quality of service or food.
I went to Benchmark for traditional Brunch on New Years Day with my husband and 2 sons. The menu is interesting with both breakfast and lunch offerings. Service was excellent, the food was very good and we will definitely return
We have been to Benchmark before for dinner as well as New Year's Eve dinner - the price is extremely reasonable, especially given how many choices are provided (more than the usual 3 at most places). The only issue (which wasn't an issue for us but probably impacted the owners of the restaurant) is that due to the frigid temps, they didn't seem to be able to use their heated extension tent (as they have in the past) so the number of covers/table turnover was probably a lot less than on prior New Year's Eves when that area was usable. It probably was impossible to keep the tent area warm enough for dining comfort and/or would have been cost-prohibitive from a profitability standpoint. I think the fact that they made this decision (the correct one in my opinion and those dining with me) is another reason that my group will be back here again - the owners didn't sacrifice their service or their clients in order to make a buck. A true neighborhood gem that is still a pretty well-kept secret!
