My partner and I loved the food, the fried chick peas were to die for. The whole experience was amazing, will definitely be coming back here again.
Great place to grab lunch and a drink while shopping on State Street. The menu has a nice variety of options, service is good, and the restaurant is comfortable. We were a party of 6, a mix of kids and adults, and everyone enjoyed their lunch choice.
The receptionist claimed they did not have our reservation. Fortunately they had an open space, yet why do we bother making reservations if the restaurant doesn’t know????
Omg the onion rings!!!!! Amazing.
We made a reservation on open table but when we arrived early the hostess had us waiting outside to be seated even though there were over 5 table for four available. Later, a party of 3 walks up and the hostess seats them right away. Still waiting patiently with multiple tables open outdoors and indoors, we finally get seated after 25 min. At that same time 3 other parties show up and they get seated right away without a wait in line. This was so bizarre. We were a part of four 2 adults and 2 kids (15 & 9 year old) . We get to our table and we have no utensils at the table, but they served us calimari . We had to wait longer for the utensils after the waitress distributed it to all the others that got seated after us as we were placed in the back by the door to the bathrooms. The food was good and we enjoyed a glass of wine and made the best of the night as we didn’t want the initial encounter spoil the rest of the evening for us as we had travelled
From LA area and had chosen to eat there out of all the possible options off State street. We hope that no one else experiences this unwelcoming experience.
Always a favorite!
I love coming here for happy hour
This is my second time here, and probably my last. We sat outside, and it was lovely. Our server was sweet. The food was not amazing, although, the Brussels sprouts were. The cocktails were ok, but the sprite was flat. When my friend asked for a fresh one, that was flat as well.
My food (salad with salmon) was fine. Not terrible, not delicious. My friend got the tri tip, and was not really enjoying it much. As We we’re close to the end of our meal, i took a bite, with food still on my plate, a server (not ours) pounced over and cleared our plates. That is my pet peeve. Let us finish. Not really impressed with any part of this place.
We were a table of 8. One of our friends never got food, then she ordered a beer and that never came. We told waitress over and over we were in a hurry cause we were going to a concert. Took her 5-7 minutes to bring us the check when she said she would bring right away. Then she automatically added an 18% tip on the bill. Lucky her, guarantee it would not have been 18%
Todo correcto, raciones muy grandes.
Excellent. Food was fresh, served fast and the service was impeccable. We will be back!
It was ok. I got the feeling it was a local cool spot but the food was ok. Nothing to write home anout. Although my son had ribs and he loved them..
Casual, easy pace to grab a bite when you are in downtown Santa Barbara. Wide variety ot good food and they were dog friendly ; )
Food was delicious and our server was great!
Great !!! The food and location was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed!
Every time we are in Santa Barbara we visit Benchmark! Love the large covered patio. Food is fresh, clean and creative. Good value, great service and friendly atomosphere.
Drinks were delicious, all staff was very attentive, food was amazing! Great food, service and ambiance!
We will be back!!!
Price point was excellent. Kids menu had a nice steak. Service was exceptional. The food was really tasty!
Ended up at Benchmark by coincidence but we couldn’t be more pleased with the choice. Lovely young ladies serving us and great food. We had burger, fries and spareribs with mashed potatoes. Huge portions and very reasonable priced, I would even call it cheap. We’ll be back!
Food was very good. Nice set up for being able to see out of many windows facing State Street.
Hit the spot—great & generous hamburger, rare as ordered!
Food was not that good and the service was spotty. Everything took longer than it should have. Many better restaurant around. Over hyped...
Nice restaurant with attentive staff. Food was good but not outstanding.
I was disappointed I made a reservation and when. I got to the restaurant someone had pretend to be me and took my table and the waitress let them take it even though we arrived at the same time then we had to wait 25min to be seated even though I made a reservation ahead of time the hostess decided to let the people have our table.
Great service. Family friendly
Our waiter was the best!!!
The restaurant was very busy being that it was Easter sunday brunch time. The kitchen was slammed but we were cool with our Prosecco and Appetizers.
Nora the manager was on hand to calm the storm and our waiter, Jeremy was helpful and personable.
My family (with 3 children had a great time.
Very good food prepared quickly and presented well. Service is very efficient with a very nicely controlled noise level.
Delicious meal with friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The waiter gave us good service and brought plenty of fried garbanzo beans. I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the tuna melt which was made with real albacore and the best she has ever had. I highly recommend the churros for dessert with melted chocolate dipping sauce. If you have a chance, sit out on the patio.
Great food and service! We enjoyed our first time and we plan to go back and try some of the other menu items.
Great lunch time stop. Good variety of fresh salads and sandwiches. Also great for a late afternoon beer and appetizers.
The service was great but our food was just okay (ordered the cajun seafood skewer and the cheeseburger).
within easy walking distance to the Granada Theater.
Really good food. Great service.
Had a very nice, early New Years Eve dinner on the outside patio. Space for 10 of us. Everyone enjoyed it.
Excellent place to eat. Varied menu, with everything tasting spectacular. Process reasonable. Service excellent! Can't wait to visit again
They were wide open as per opentable so we made a reservation. We got there and they said they could not take our reservation because we had made it with less than 2 hours in advance. If you don’t want to take opentable reservations close your availability. Very upsetting
consistently good food and service. The price is right!
We ate on the outside patio and had a great table in the corner facing the side street which may be why I rated it as quiet. The outside patio has a nice ambience. Wait staff was attentive and I felt we got good value for our meal. We went here as a group before attending a downtown event and the location was ideal. We will go here again.
Our server was very nice but the food wasn’t good (sad charcuterie, bland pasta, cold sides). The menu sounds interesting and upscale but isn’t executed well. The soda tasted like the lines needed maintenance and the co2 needed to be changed. No one else was eating there on a Saturday night. Overall, a depressing experience.
