The best steak I’ve had in New York. The bacon is a must as a starter along with the sesame tuna. Rib eye was a large piece and had that dry aged flavor many steak houses fail to offer. The service was outstanding and I'll definitely go back.

I usually don't write reviews but when a place makes me feel beyond special, it's a must. Dined on Friday night and everyone from the hostess to the manager made us feel comfortable. We were thinking of ordering off the restaurant week menu but the waiter recommended the porterhouse for 2. Oh boy was he right! The steak was perfectly cooked and had a mesmerizing aroma. The cream spinach and mac was perfect! Not too salty and full of flavor. Phenomenal services, great food, well crafted wine list, and friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to my friends.

I took my 13 year old daughter her for her Birthday. We had a party of 7 and we were put in a private room. My kids were allowed to be kids without disturbing anyone else. Our server was the best server that I had in a long time. The meals are pricey however it was okay for a special occasion.

We live in the neighborhood and this was our first time to Ben & Jack's Steakhouse.It was also a birthday celebration which was FANTASTIC. The manager, hostess/coat check,bartender, and our server Timmy were all knowledgeable and very friendly. We started with a dozen LI Oysters, which may have been the best I've ever had.Caesar and Beefsteak Mozzarella salads were next. For our main course the Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Diver Sea Scallops, and the Porterhouse Steak for 2. Everything was cooked to perfection.Finished off with a beautiful birthday multiple dessert plate.The plentiful martini's and Timmy's wine selection were just great. Limoncello and Grand Marnier finished up a perfect evening. They are now my local Steakhouse of choice. Looking forward to my next dinner there!!

Have been the restaurant a few times now. Always enjoy the meal, service and ambiance. Mostly go when it's restaurant week but have also been there when it wasn't. Definitely well worth it during restaurant week. Glad to see that their restaurant week menu was updated. Everything was delicious except dessert.

We had a Restaurant Week lunch for 4. Although the restaurant was nearly empty (just one other small party) and despite the fact that one of my friends is a long-time regular, we were given a bare minimum of attention by the staff. Once we declined alcohol (being in the middle of a work day), the (rather scant to begin with) warmth in the service evaporated completely and we were attended to with the attitude of polite sufferance.
The choice of appetizers was between a chicken & rice soup and a tired, generic green salad. Almost any fast-food cafe in the neighborhood invests a lot more creativity into its basic salads - and much more care into the quality of the ingredients.
We ordered veal chop, filet mignon, and lamb chops. All meat was offered with the same sides: mashed potatoes and boiled broccoli, damped on the plates without a glimmer of a thought. The veal was perfect, the rest - how should I put it? There was nothing wrong with the meat, it was just so... OK - and not an iota above.
Overall impression - tolerable, dull, utterly forgettable experience.
We have come to expect more from New York steakhouses.
