Belvedere Inn Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend ordered steak, cooked medium, and what came was essentially seared. The majority of the meat was completely raw. No one returned to the table for a good 15-20 minutes to ask how everything was. My boyfriend (we came very soon after work— myself a nurse practitioner and him a fire fighter) was starving, so ended up choking most of the raw meat down. For meat priced as high as the this, we were both terribly disappointed. My salmon was good.
We had a 6:30 pm reservation but we had a little wait due to another party lingering at the table they reserved for us. We were able to stand in the bar area (very beautiful and fun) and got a drink and were seated a little after 7 pm. Jamie was a great server, super pleasant all evening and very attentive to my hearing impaired father who we were taking out as a Christmas gift. We were brought a complimentary appetizer of crab dip and Belvedere Bread for our wait - even though we had not complained or inquired about when we were going to be seated. Dinner was very good, although a smidge pricey - this would be great for a celebration dinner or special occasion. You could tell there were a lot of large parties celebrating that night. Jazz started a little after 7 and although initially very loud, they were very good and it was a nice addition to our great service and dinner. The place was packed the entire time we were there and it's easy to see why. Highly recommend!
As long time customers of The Belvedere we were greeted and promptly seated The Ambiance was lovely and provided the privacy we were used to for celebrating our 20th Anniversary. The food. What can I say but is always scrumptious. After our dinner we repaired to the elegant bar to have a drink with a long time friend. Jamie and Taylor are friends We could not have picked a better place to celebrate. Looking forward to coming again soon.
Our waiter was terrific. Special was lamb chops which were exceptional! Only complaint was the grilled Caesar salad..too much garlic for my taste. Husband had shrimp scampi which he said was delicious & he is a picky eater!
All in all a great place, although on this particular night, the music was turned up so loud we had to shout to have a conversation. Asked to have it turned down, which they did, but then someone turned it back up. Would have liked to have had dessert and after dinner drinks, but it was impossible to have a conversation, so we left. Our waiter was terrific.
Our lunch was fantastic as always, but more importantly, the staff and kitchen were gracious. A major highway accident delayed many of their guests, yet they kept the kitchen open late for our late arrivals. They made our little Christmas get-together so special (& the setting is just beautiful.)
Our evening and time at the Belvedere was simply outstanding!!!! Dewar's Scotch cost more than listed on the menu but it was still yummmie!!! The four meals were beyond compare, all were thrilled with their respective meal. Great place to eat and we will definitely return there, again!
Highlight here is grilled romaine. Must have! Most entrees are made with wine sauces. Asked for one made without. Was told one of the specials could be made without sauce. Billed as Walleye, which waiter said was like Chilean sea bass. Not! Fish was totally dried out. Waiter immediately offered alternative of salmon. I ordered it rare and it was perfect.
The Beef short ribs were amazing....melted in your mouth like butter!!! Great service and on this visit noise level was high but we chalked that up the the holiday season and larger groups but it in no way affected the food, service and ambiance (the restaurant was tastefully decorated)...Highly recommend.
We loved our experience! The 4 of us each ordered something different and we liked everything. The vegetable risotto was more of a side dish glad we split it with others. Very pretty for the season. Our waiter was exceptional. We definitely recommend and will return.
We were there for Lisa's birthday. They had our table ready early when we arrived earlier. The Inn is decorated beautifully for the holidays!! There was a "Happy Birthday" card waiting at our table - what a nice touch. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! From the soup and Belvie bread to the desserts - everything was really great! The staff works very hard to make everything great! Thank You Belvie Inn - we will return!!!
What a great night! The Belvedere team excelled as always. We were warmly greeted at the door, chatted with the bartender before being seated and experienced excellent service from Josh throughout our meal. The food was excellent, creative flavor combinations and beautiful presentations. Everyone at the table complimented their chosen items. The Chilean Sea Bass feature was an excellent nod to seasonal cuisine and was quite delicious.
