Belvedere Inn Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Came for college visit and wanted good food within walking distance from hotel (Marriott). Read previous reviews and wanted a variety to choose from but family friendly and not too fancy. Made reservation on open table.
Waiter was fantastic, offered suggestions on menu and was spot on. Son had lobster Mac and cheese for appetizer and it was very good. Husband and I had crab dip appetizer and it was excellent. Filet and ribs were very good. Dessert was fine but definitely could have done without.
Atmosphere was on the louder side but we didn’t mind that as we weren’t looking for quiet.
Diverse crowd of families with small children, couples, families with teens and older adults. Seems to cater to all.
If we come back to Lancaster would definitely go there again.
Overall great place to dine. Probably the best food ive had in a while. Surf and turf, shrimp Caesar salad. Only complaint was the cheese fondue was a little cold but server took care of it right away, was the reason why i gave 4 stars if not would have gave 5 stars. Would definitely recommend and will for sure be going back. Great tasting drinks.
An evening with friends is always better when spent at your place. Our particular evening was shared with a group of friends and a friend who traveled from Switzerland. The food was perfect along with the service. We always enjoy time spent in the Crazy Shirley Lounge. Having live music always adds to the ambiance of the evening.
This place is amazing. Quite charming to say the least. You’re seated a bit close to other tables so you can hear everyone’s conversations but... it didn’t take away from the impeccable service and amazing food quality. My date had their Shrimp Scampi and I had the Pan seared Mako Shark. Haaa... Absolutely marvelous.
We are never disappointed with food or service at the Belvedere but they exceeded my expectations with this experience. When I made my reservation for the evening I was asked if we were Celebrating a Special occasion. I told them that I was bringing my grandson to celebrate some of his successes, they asked his name and the spelling. When we were taken to our table each napkin had a card tucked in the folds, a note of Congratulations with Hunters name!! What a wonderful feel good touch that began the dining experience!! And the food and service were Fabulous!!
Love the Belevedere! Service and food are always outstanding. Very popular place, so if you're looking for a quiet date location-- may not be the greatest choice to go on a major holiday (valentines day), but that's a stretch of a complaint if I even have any.
I decided to take my date out here for dinner on Valentine's Day, and was not impressed at all. The waitress, Jen, was great! That's where it stopped. I spent $200 for 4 drinks, an appetizer, and two dinners. The appetizer was great, but the meal was so so. The bar atmosphere is great, and that would be the only thing I would recommend coming here for. Other than that.... You can spend $200 somewhere else in Lancaster or York, and get a better meal. I'm sorry to say this, but I will not be returning other than to get a drink at the bar. Just my honest opinion.
With crazy upcoming schedules, my wife and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day early with a night out and Belvedere Inn was our dinner stop. From the moment we arrived early, until we left, we were treated respectfully and attentively. Our server, Ashley, was very good, balancing when to present the specials with taking drink and appetizer orders and not pressuring us in any way. She engaged us appropriately without being intrusive. The food specials were on the mark, so I cannot comment on the standard menu. This is an establishment I would visit again. I recommend them.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, it was my second time here and his first. He commented on the ambiance and how lovely the inside looked. The service was great, and my filet was cooked perfectly (also, probably the best steak I`ve ever had in general). Our dessert that we shared was on the house because of his birthday. We got the crème brulee and it was outstanding! Overall, the food was phenomenal, and the service was a match. We left and were already talking about coming back. 10/10!
The food was exquisite. We started with the crab dip. I could eat that every day! For dinner I got the short ribs as suggested by our waiter. It did not disappoint. It was a little pricey but given the food was so spectacular I didn’t mind. Wish I had saved room for dessert. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll definitely try it again.
for many years I have driven to this restaurant for dinner and have enjoyed taking many of my friends. The food is creative and the menu changes seasonally. The staff is very friendly and the outdoor dining in the summer is nice. It is always a pleasure to visit.
