    Food very good, but heavy on salt. Staff appreciated this observation & took some money off one entree & provided gratis desert.

    We love to support local business. My husband and I had dinner at the Belvedere for our wedding anniversary. The service was excellent. Thank you, Elizabeth and staff! However, the food is something from the 1980s - heavy, loaded with sauces and creams, wilted veggies, and food that was not what the recipe should have been. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and was expecting Chicken Marsala - pan-fried lightly coated chicken with white wine sauce and mushrooms - and instead ended up with 2 pieces of heavily breaded deep fried chicken over a large bed of mashed potatoes and wilted asparagus. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was prepared to his liking, but doused with a dark brown sauce. The grilled Romaine salad was doused with heavy dressing. It was gross. For dessert, his crème brûlée was tasty but the dark chocolate Rocher I ordered was not good. The menu said chocolate mouse and I received a hard ball of dark chocolate covered with a layer of chocolate. For a landmark restaurant like this would appreciate lighter menu options, smaller portions not doused with sauces and creams, an updated menu, fresh veggies, and food prepared consistent with its recipe.

    Overall nice experience. The service, decor and ambiance were amazing. The signature grilled Caesar salad and dessert were great. The fettuccine and pork katsu entrees were good but not amazing. We were disappointed considering the entree prices. We agreed to check out the Belvedere again but not for dinner.

    This is our favorite fine dining restaurant in Lancaster. The food is phenomenal and the service impeccable.

    It’s no surprise that the Belvedere Inn is one of Lancaster’s favorite restaurants. Everything from the greeter to wine selection is top notch.

    A restaurant of this caliber should take better care in regard to the quality and condition of their foods. The beets in the salad had black spots through them, and they still served them to us and then tried to tell us that is normal.

    We had a lovely anniversary dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door!We had a wonderful dinner. Our server was amazing, friendly and attentive.
