Twas a good experience. Sadly my date didn’t want to go out with me again.
Great location and nice dining space. Service was slow but when drinks arrived, they were good. Food was very good. Great place for a date night or night out with frienda
Great food & service!
Food was awesome!
Great with the kids!
We really enjoyed our date on the patio. The beer selection was decent, the food was delicious, and the service was great. My only negative comment is the Dixie burger doesn't need coleslaw but a bigger jucier fried green tomato. Overall it was a great time.
Pros: Very good food (the filet special and the trout were particular highlights), great beer, suprisingly strong and well-priced wine list for a brewpub.
Cons: Our waitress was attentive and couldn't have been nicer, but the pace of service is slow. The restaurant is also pretty loud when full.
Food was great, service was good, and beer was tasty. The only negative was that our water tasted strange, having an odd metallic taste. I stuck with my beer instead.
All of our food tasted great. I would not hesitate to go back.
Always great food!
Love BTR! Always recommend it to our friends! Great service!
Love the setting & the food! Fun place for friends on Fridays with the music trivia.
This is my first time coming to Below the Radar. The service was great, however, the wait for our food was about a 40 minute wait. Although the service was great, the food was worth the wait. I would come back during lunch and/or dinner hour.
BTR Beer Voodoo Mary was superb and consistent with a Belgium tripel or quadrupel. We had Cajun ribeye and substituted shrimp in the rainbow trout dish. Delish.
Food wasn't as good as last time. Service was good
BTT is a great place for a beer and burger! Terrific ambience altho slightly on the noisy side, at least on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Good food and great service in my experience.
Enjoy coming here so overlooked the fact they were out of 'cold' Mic Ultra. Happens all over town all the time. I know it's a Brewery and had a friend in town who likes craft beer so this was our restaurant of choice!
We’ve visited Below the Radar several times and this was the worse experience. I know it was a Friday night, which is the first time for us, but noise levels were so high, I couldn’t hear the person across the table. Service was also poor as I watched my flight of beer sit at the bar awhile before actually getting it. Food took forever to come out, but was hot.
We’ll be back, but not on a Friday night.
This is the second time that we have had dinner at Below the Radar. Both times were fairly good. We find the portions are very adequate and in some cases pretty large. It can be loud at busy times. So if you are looking for a quiet venue this is not it during busy times We particularly liked the beer flights. It’s fun to try local brews. This last time my husband’s entrée ( ribeye )was not warm. He did not send it back because he wanted to eat with the rest of the party and we don’t like to be high maintenance! My steak fillet with mashed potatoes and green beans was good. We did not have dessert the last time we were there but we did the time prior to that. I like the fact that there is someone making unique and homemade desserts in that kitchen.
Food was very good. Service was atrocious.
Love the place, food & service. We love Carrie. Need chocolate for dessert
I used to go to Below the Radar at 2 or 3 times a month. On this last visit I will not be back for a while. We waited 10 min before anyone acknowledged our table. Waited another 5 minutes before someone took our order. It took 25 minutes for our food to come out. My omelette was very dry and the fruit was not fresh. My husband had the egg benedict and the yolk was a dried up circle. The mgr did re-cook his meal and took care of it. The server was not attentive at all.
There was a gentleman and his little daughter that was seated a few minutes after us, across from us. They sitted and waited patiently and after 20 minutes no one ever came to their table, so they just left.
A coworker told me that the food and service had went down hill but I just didn’t want to believe it!!
Our service was absolutely horrible. My drink was empty and I asked multiple times for a refill, but my server kept saying he would get to it. Instead he walked around and bussed tables. I had to ask another server to get a refill. It took 55 mins for our appetizer to come out and then 5 mins later our food came out. I was completely disappointed.
I love this place for dinner, and tried it for lunch. The lunch menu was a bit limited and disappointing comparatively.
Food was good. Service was great and staff was friendly. Rainbow trout was good; fish and chips and steak wrap were so so. House-made chips were tasty, especially with ranch dressing but wish they had been warm. Texas Lemonade was delicious. Went early so sufficient free meter parking on weekends.
Below the radar is a great place to eat if you like to try different beers and experience great food, all while in a great atmosphere. The only bad thing to say is if you do not arrive early enough they may run out of their fired cheese curds, they are AWESOME!!!
Hostess and server were friendly and accomodating. It was extremely loud to the point that we had to shout to hear one another across the small 4 seat table. Also we were seated directly next to the restroom so there was a lot of traffic around our table. Food took a very long time to come out. Our table ordered the Fish and Chips, which were excellent, the Brewhouse Burger which was slightly undercooked but otherwise very good, and two orders of the grilled Rainbow Trout entree which was just "ok" in our collective opinion. Beer and wine were great. Would go back for drinks but probably not dinner.
This was our second time at brunch, great selection, huge portions and wonderful waiters!! Food was delicious!!
Enjoyed the food. Enjoyed the space. Enjoyed the Host and Wait Staff. Chance the GM SUPERB!!
Went for the entertainment however it was cancelled that evening and we didn’t see on Facebook. Stayed anyway for a quick meal~ Service is always nice
We love the food and enjoy the location. The service is often lacking and this was no different. The amount of wait time for our food was way too long. We watched others who came in after us order, eat, and leave before our food had arrived. There were five of us and we didn’t order anything too tricky. Sandwiches and a couple easy breakfast dishes. The food is delicious and we still come in spite of the wait. Our server was not rude, but we don’t expect warm service when dining here. Or much attention. We have been pleasantly surprised a couple times over the years! We will be back but just have to plan carefully for the wait time.
Food was outstanding. Service also outstanding. Only complaint was it was very loud. It is a small building and it seemed that everyone was trying to talk over everyone else. But other than the noise (which isn't the fault of the owners) it was a great evening.
The place was way too loud plus they were having trivia night and the music was turned it seemed like all the way up I had trouble understanding what my companion at the table was saying
We visited on our way to the Von Braun for a comedy show and loved it!
My reservation was made on line and my name is Pat. I do not know why it was reserved in the name James? Everything was great! We will visit again.
We have Sunday brunch here often. The wait staff is always wonderful, we had Kerry, & would recommend any and all of them they are all great. Everyone is always very nice. We sit, eat & drink & the staff never gets tired of us. Just let us have a good time. Anytime you want good food, good time & great wait staff go here! They are the best!
Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and great service!
We go for Friday Night 'Name That Tune'- never disappoints and Thornton was a fun, attentive waiter!
The waitress was sweet but our table and the table next to us seemed to have our orders mixed together. Two people at our table received their food and the other two didn’t get food for almost 10 minutes. The same thing happened to the other table. The first two had to start eating as they had ordered French toast and pancakes. It wouldn’t have been as good if not eaten immediately. The waitress felt bad and didn’t charge for our drinks (soda & coffee).
Had a reservation and was seated immediately on a Saturday night. Server was Chris. He worked behind the bar making drinks as well as acting as a server out on the floor. He was decent. The food on the other hand was nothing special. I had fish and chips and my girlfriend had the diablo burrito. Fries were the soggiest I’ve ever had in my life. Fish was decent although it was heavily battered. Diablo burrito was pretty basic. Chicken was bland. One thing we did really enjoy though is the Mac and cheese bites. May try this place again but will stay away from the entrees and go with wings/appetizers as that seemed to be the trend with other patrons.
We came on New Years Day around 2pm
Hostess was very pleasant greeted us at door. We sat at bar. She assisted with serving us. Our server was fair, never asked if what we ordered we liked. Service was slow. They were out of two beers on their "new" menu.
Limited menu for lunch.
I ordered fish and chips.($14.95) The fried fish was very good. The fries were very poor soggy and just above room temperature.
Spouse ordered BLT.($9.95) It was supposed to be on special bread. Nope only on white bread that was slathered with siracha/mayo. Way too spicy. Took off top slice of bread to eat it. The potato chips were very good best part of the meal.
With so many better brew houses bars/restaurants here in Huntsville look elsewhere for this style of dining.
