Excellent Italian food. We had the seafood pasta, fruta di mare, which was very tasty. The sauce was so similar to what we ate in Italia, very rich and flavorful. We also wanted the lasagna but it was sold out. But, the waitress suggested that the chef might be able to make the same dish with a different pasta which wouldn't be lasagna, but similar. She asked the chef and he agreed - our dish was made with rigatoni instead, and was molto deliciouso! The chianti was also excellent and reasonably priced. Bravisimo!

This new Sicilian restaurant deserves to be discovered! All four diners in our party raved about their meals, and the eggplant appetizer was fabulous. Service was friendly but not intrusive. The chef (yes, he's Sicilian) came around to say hello. Nice atmosphere--not noisy, but very welcoming.

We just paid our second visit. The food is excellent and we love the ambience here. Both times we've visited, (one busy the most recent not busy) service has been lacking at times. We asked for more water and then after awhile, noticed that our server was polishing stools at the bar. So we re-requested our water. I'm mentioning these things not out of malice but so that management will be able to learn this. Overall, we love this place and will be back!!!

We made a booking for this place while here in Portland but when we showed up, there was a handwritten sign in the window - closed for family emergency. He suppose it happens.

Very cute little place. Two girlfriends and I went for dinner while visiting Portland. The atmosphere is great. The food was wonderful. The service was a bit slow and the server wasn't overly friendly. A bit short with us. She did make a good recommendation though on the food and we were all happy with it. I would go there again.

When the wait staff realized we weren't going to buy drinks magically we got "Costco" bread and the olive oil seemed to taste different... oh and both meals were bland. Looks like a good joint but pass on this one, you'll have a bad time if you go.

Found this over the web looking for Italian food. Good review so had to experience it ourselves. Party of 6 and for my daughter birthday that we were visiting at her college break. Service was great starting with the hostess, then the waiter, and lastly the owner and his wife coming over to chat. The food was really really good. We had appetizers, salads, entrees, and deserts. BELISIMO. We will be back!!! We got lucky to have found this place....

Belino Trattoria did not disappoint. I took my family from the coast there for my sister's birthday. The food is delicious, fresh, and prepared perfectly. We had the calamari appetizer special, octopus salad, and caprese to start; very fresh and seasoned perfectly. We had gnocchi, lamb, chicken special and fettuccine w/ seafood. The chicken was pretty good but everything else was superb. The ambiance was great, the staff were wonderful. Our server was attentive and the wine menu was great. A great night out in the Pearl.

I went back a second time because of delicious eggplant Parmesan dinner. This time I tried an Italian classic: braciola. It was stringy, and didn't seem like it had been cooked in the sauce. The accompanying veg was overlooked and over salted. The sauce didn't have depth. I was disappointed. Next time I will get pasta or eggplant.

I felt that the place was run by italians trying to offer us something real. The food was well thought out and very tasty. The wine list was vaguely mysterious unless you really know your grapes (e.g. nero d'avola) but they were keen for us to try tastes to win us over to sicily. We felt super welcomed by the staff and owner.

The food is always fantastic. But for those that do not know the big differences between Sicilian food and Italian food (especially Italian-American Food) should check out Bellino for their traditional Sicilian meals with a few Tuscan flares thrown in, thanks to their Tuscan born head chef. Because Sicily is an island, fresh, well prepared seafood is always a great option. And don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try things like octopus and black squid risotto, even just as an appetizer. You'll find you'll love things you never thought you'd like. Being mostly Sicilian and a small bit Northern Italian, I rarely go out for Italian myself. But when I want to take friends to someplace special and give them a true taste of Sicily, this is where I always take them. I even took my Sicilian parents the last time they visited and mom gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Francesco and his staff could not be nicer. I cannot recommend Billino more.

We lived in Italy for several years so are pretty tough on Italian restaurants. Bellini was good, not great. We had an arancino, which was fine but very costly. For the $$ there should have been two. The meatball antipasto was fine, although skimpy on the sauce and again, rather expensive. My Parmigiana di Melanzane was very good, comparable to my favorite trattoria in Roma, and my son liked his gnocchi. My husband had the lamb, which was supposed to be Agnello Arrosto. He was presented with tow rather large grilled chops, not the roasted fall-apart lamb he expected. He called it mutton-like and there was a lot of fat. The kale and potatoes that accompanied it were good. We found a nice, if expensive, wine menu and chose a nice Primativo. All-in-all it was good, but for the money I am not sure we'll be back. 2 Antipasti, the 3 entrees mentioned above, and wine came to $108.00 plus tip. (I miss the no-tipping style of Europe!)

Overall, the food was excellent... Spicy, good meatball appetizer, unusual salad w greens, apples, warm goat cheese and a subtle honey dressing, great olive oil for the bread. Ravioli of the day was delicious. Only negative was lamb chops that were small portion and not particularly tasty. Choc mousse was smooth and lovely . One of the best made Manhattans for cocktail. We appreciated that the corkage fee for the bottle of wine we brought w us was $15, not $20. The service was perfect. We had requested a particular table and that request was honored.
