Bellini Osteria Ratings and Reviews
I used to eat at this restaurant often and haven't been there in quite a long time so I thought I would stop by. Everything appeared to be the same as I remember, until the food came. I ordered Calamari as an appetizer and for the meal I ordered Pizza, lasagna and Chicken Piccata (all of the family to split). The first problem was my pizza was brought out first? I asked where was my calamari and they said that the pizza came out of the kitchen first? That already irritated me and told them not to bother with the calamari as that was the appetizer. We were done with 1/2 the pizza before the rest of our meal finally came out. It was literally one of the worse meals I've eaten in a long time. So bad that I let my son ate my portion and I got something to eat elsewhere. My wife didn't even finish her food as she also found it subpar. They informed me that one of the owners is no longer there and I'm wondering if that's why the food quality was now poor. In any case, this will be my last visit.
I have been to this restaurant several times. Was disappointed that the Burata salad was small for $13. Both my friend and I had chicken dishes, the chicken marsala, and chicken piccata. We both commented that with the presentation was quite sloppy on the plate. I also thought the Old Fashioned was a bit pricey at $14! I know this is Westlake Village, but if I rate valve, I would pricey for burata and the drink. I would have wanted more cheese!
Both chicken dishes were very tasty. Strezzopretti was a bit bland!
We went with a group of 10 on a Saturday at 6:30 pm. The host and server couldn’t have been nicer. And the restaurant was packed. It was loud and sometimes hard to hear or talk at our long table but we managed. Our server was very attentive, all of our food arrived at the same time, and everyone enjoyed their food. They topped off the night by surprising me with a delicious homemade Tiramisu. They also have markdowns on wine bottles which we took advantage of. The people around us were very cordial. Now....The only downside, I ordered the Branzino and it was 2 small pieces of sea bass over cooked and over salted. I didn’t complain, being in a large group, but i would hope the chef will adjust the salt and timing. All in all, a good experience. Go for the homemade pasta!
Really good food at reasonable prices served by an attentive wait staff on a lovely patio with a good wine and cocktail list! I recommend Osteria Bellini highly for more private dining ( with or without kids)or a party on a private patio for 40. !!!
On. Saturday four of us really enjoyed their salad special and pasta, sea bass, veal chop and chicken piccata. We had some dietary issues and were happily accommodated . YUM!
This is a nice neighborhood place. The service is always good and the servers are attentive and helpful. It was a very quiet night when we went, but it is usually lively and has more people. The food is very good and they have a nice selection. I felt that they gave us a decent amount of wine when we ordered a glass.
Bellini Osteria is my favorite restaurant. It's great for dinner and for lunch, for business and for pleasure. The food is outstanding and the service is great. It's a neighborhood restaurant with a terrific ambiance. The homemade pasta is incredible. I have taken many friends and business colleagues to this restaurant and everyone had their expectations exceeded.
Nice menu, the service was good, though the waiter forgot to have me taste the wine before serving it. All the dishes ordered were well prepared and the lasagna was one of the better ones around. Corkage is on the high side at $20 for this type of restaurant. Eating inside can be noisy, especially at happy hour between people at the bar being loud and the big screen TV, but outside seating is nice, no view per se since it faces a major street, but with plants and a wall, other than some road noise, it is pleasant.
As the rating says, the entire experience was outstanding (small exception--noisy group seated near us; made it hard to talk with each other. We were excited to find a new restaurant. We are looking forward to returning soon and may even order the very same special, if available of course.
We went to Bellini Osteria for a family celebration. The patio was pleasant. The service was excellent, with multiple people making sure we were well taken care of. We all enjoyed the food and drinks we ordered. I would say the outside patio is good for earlier dinner with kids, but the inside, hipper dining area is better for couples or small parties of adults.
Would you believe an Italian restaurant that runs out of spaghetti? My fiance and I went there for dinner on Saturday night. We both ordered veal dishess. I asked for angel hair pasta with my dish. I was told they don't serve angel hair pasta, so I said that spaghetti would be fine only to have the server come back a few minutes later to be told that they were out of spaghetti plus they were out of veal. We asked for our check and left. I've eaten there before and enjoyed the food but is this any way to run an Italian restaurant. To be fair the manger did give us a gift card for 25% off our next visit but I'm not sure I want to go back or not.
