Bellini Osteria Ratings and Reviews
I have been to this restaurant several times. Was disappointed that the Burata salad was small for $13. Both my friend and I had chicken dishes, the chicken marsala, and chicken piccata. We both commented that with the presentation was quite sloppy on the plate. I also thought the Old Fashioned was a bit pricey at $14! I know this is Westlake Village, but if I rate valve, I would pricey for burata and the drink. I would have wanted more cheese!
Both chicken dishes were very tasty. Strezzopretti was a bit bland!
Really good food at reasonable prices served by an attentive wait staff on a lovely patio with a good wine and cocktail list! I recommend Osteria Bellini highly for more private dining ( with or without kids)or a party on a private patio for 40. !!!
On. Saturday four of us really enjoyed their salad special and pasta, sea bass, veal chop and chicken piccata. We had some dietary issues and were happily accommodated . YUM!
This is a nice neighborhood place. The service is always good and the servers are attentive and helpful. It was a very quiet night when we went, but it is usually lively and has more people. The food is very good and they have a nice selection. I felt that they gave us a decent amount of wine when we ordered a glass.
Bellini Osteria is my favorite restaurant. It's great for dinner and for lunch, for business and for pleasure. The food is outstanding and the service is great. It's a neighborhood restaurant with a terrific ambiance. The homemade pasta is incredible. I have taken many friends and business colleagues to this restaurant and everyone had their expectations exceeded.
Nice menu, the service was good, though the waiter forgot to have me taste the wine before serving it. All the dishes ordered were well prepared and the lasagna was one of the better ones around. Corkage is on the high side at $20 for this type of restaurant. Eating inside can be noisy, especially at happy hour between people at the bar being loud and the big screen TV, but outside seating is nice, no view per se since it faces a major street, but with plants and a wall, other than some road noise, it is pleasant.
As the rating says, the entire experience was outstanding (small exception--noisy group seated near us; made it hard to talk with each other. We were excited to find a new restaurant. We are looking forward to returning soon and may even order the very same special, if available of course.
We went to Bellini Osteria for a family celebration. The patio was pleasant. The service was excellent, with multiple people making sure we were well taken care of. We all enjoyed the food and drinks we ordered. I would say the outside patio is good for earlier dinner with kids, but the inside, hipper dining area is better for couples or small parties of adults.
Would you believe an Italian restaurant that runs out of spaghetti? My fiance and I went there for dinner on Saturday night. We both ordered veal dishess. I asked for angel hair pasta with my dish. I was told they don't serve angel hair pasta, so I said that spaghetti would be fine only to have the server come back a few minutes later to be told that they were out of spaghetti plus they were out of veal. We asked for our check and left. I've eaten there before and enjoyed the food but is this any way to run an Italian restaurant. To be fair the manger did give us a gift card for 25% off our next visit but I'm not sure I want to go back or not.
We dined here the Saturday night before Mother's Day, to avoid The Day Of crush. It was a little loud but not to the point where we couldn't converse. Most of the time we come on a weeknight and it's not as crowded.
This is our 5th or 6th time coming to Bellini. We love the food SO much. I especially like the booth with the "princess chair" -- ask for it if there's just two of you!
This is our second time here to see if maybe the first time was an off night but it was not.
Food is "meh" (not bad but not anything to recommend either) and service , although polite, is.not attentive. Ambiance (tried inside and outside) was unmemorable.
Service was friendly but mostly absent. Took a long time to get seated and to get out food. And then my order was wrong but was very hungry and we had to leave.
With so many better Italian alternatives, this will unfortunately have to come off our list.
