I have always wanted to come here. I ordered the Salmon it was soo good. The only negative was the server sending another server to my table to question my girlfriend about our servers tip... We were a party of 3; one of my girlfriends didn't like her food, the rest of us were fine with it. I just thought that was in poor taste. I was being treated to this dinner, so I'm not sure what the confusion was but the action of the two servers wasn't appreciated.
Perfect. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommended by me !!
Nearly everything was excellent, but the veal dish was partially burned, so it wasn’t as good as everything else. That’s the only reason for the downgrade
Great Italian food at a great price
Excellent place. Great food and service. Good location. Very good variety of items on the menu.
Juan our server was so nice and the owner so personable as well! Food was delicious and homemade and the prices were so reasonable! Great little gem we stumbled upon!
Excellent!
The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent. Great service.
Had a great dinner. The Escargots were amazing. We both enjoyed our meals. Great location and real nice inside. You will enjoy your meal here.....and the balsamic vinegar with the bread- Yes!
We booked Valentine's Day at Bellini Grill and were extremely concerned with the blatant disregard for COVID safety protocol. The restaurant was at 100% capacity (when the current state regulation is 25%, and 50% only with a safety self-certification) and they couldn't squeeze more diners in if they tried. We ordered our food and shortly thereafter asked the waitress to box our dinner up to-go. We wanted to try and enjoy our Valentine's Day meal but couldn't due to the overcrowding of the restaurant.
When we asked to talk to the manager, he was completely dismissive of our concerns about safety and even said "you're the only one complaining" about the crowding of the dining room. The service was good, even though the waiter was having to shimmy between tables due to the packing of the restaurant. Our food to-go was good as well. I'm very disappointed overall with our experience at the Bellini Grill. Their complete disregard for COVID in the dining area brings into question their health and safety practices in. the kitchen.
The restaurant was completely filled with no regard for COVID-19 restrictions.
We went to Bellini for a special Valentine’s Day meal. Each table was decorated with flowers and candles so the ambiance was very romantic. The wine and food were incredible and the staff was attentive. We would definitely recommend Bellini for any special occasion!
Came to Philly on Valentine’s Day weekend. Obviously it’s their busiest time of the year so I wasnt expecting to get the fasted service but we were pretty disappointed by the whole experience. We were sat at our table promptly but weren’t greeted by a server and didn’t receive menus for about 10 min. My boyfriend ordered a beer that never came. Everyone else in the restaurant received bread at the table. We did not. We ordered and our food came out at a reasonable time but my boyfriends $30 steak (that didn’t come with sides) came out rare when he ordered it medium and my $25 seafood pasta dish was very small and had about 3 bites of actual pasta in it. We were pretty excited to eat here because of the reviews but in our opinion the experience was not worth the price we paid.
The food was amazing. Fresh and home cooked. A great place to spend Valentines Day dinner
It was a Valentine’s Day so the place was full ( not sure how they are allowed to fill the place to the max capacity..)
The good:
A la carte food was really good! Black risotto and seafood were excellent.
Decor was nice
The bad:
No bread was served at all to our table while everyone else seemed to be getting it.
Service was ridiculously terrible.
We didn’t even finish one of the dishes and the waiter just took it away.
One of the waitresses just came and took wine list from our table.
We had to ask a different waiter to bring us dessert menu.
Before we even finished the meal the waiter brought us the check...
Between Pushing the valentines dishes that were designed kinda pretty but tasting awful and trying to kick us out of the restaurant
This would be the last time I even walk the street that this restaurant is on..
This was a perfect place for Valentine's Day! Our server was great and our food was so good. Great atmosphere.
It was added taxes and charges that couldn’t be explained or reasoning I was supposed to be seated inside as requested
VERY COVID IRRESPONSIBLE! Upon arrival, with our reservation, we expected to be seated outside and were totally fine with that option. Yet We were surprised when the hostess sat us indoors and we felt comfortable enough to do that. Our table was safely distanced from one larger party in the corner. The hostess, also our server and also the owner? However, the server was brusque and at times rude . She mumbled a pasta special at us and took our drink orders which took a rather long time to receive. The restaurant started filling up, every table, not appropriately distanced. They sat a party of 6 right behind my right shoulder. We had to MOVE our own table in the opposite direction and my friends put their masks back on. Bread was served to us about 1 hour after being seated and we were only given one piece each so eventually requested more. One positive, the food was absolutely delicious. We had the chicken marsala and ravioli and everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. Our server, any rare time she came over to check on us, would not acknowledge us when we asked for something...she would just walk away and leave us wondering if she even heard us. The place at this point looked like a regular Saturday night in non-Covid times. Packed and loud. While I want to see ANY business thrive after what we have been thru with Covid, I also trust a business would respect their customers and make an effort to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. In the end, we chose to take a risk in going to a restaurant for dinner instead calling room service but I won't be returning to Bellini for the aforementioned reasons.
Food was delicious and service was quick. Highly recommend!
Pasta dish was heavy and bland.
Great service and great food!
Our visit to Bellini was a great experience. Having just opened up to indoor dining, the staff was great on all the precautions. The food and service were outstanding. It is easy to see that this will be even more vibrant and pleasant as things are opened up more.
The food was delicious, but a bit pricey for what we ordered
Bellini was great even with all the COVID restrictions. The heat lamps were great even with 35F temperatures around 8pm. The food was well cooked and the waiters and host were very courteous. They checked on us periodically but weren't overbearing.
Food was good. Even though it was late they didn’t rush us. It was a little chilly in the outdoor seating because of the pandemic but otherwise we enjoyed our meal
Good place. Food was delicious. Outside dining with the heaters felt great in the cold night.
Hell yes, this is my new spot in the city. Everything from how they handled Covid protocols, to the epic level of service to the ambience to the food to the excellent price! 10/10 I was shocked it wasn’t booked out when we walked up.
The service was outstanding. From bringing a selection of teas to chose from, to checking in and even bringing us a top up of coffee *after* we paid the bill. We were one of the last and never felt rushed by staff. Even though it was below freezing out, the staff we
Do not pass this place up, much better service than some of the bigger Steven Starr spots we have in the city.
Food was incredible! Our waiter was great, the service was very quick.
Outdoor dining , small plates really not what I wanted
The tiramisu was delicious and I had their Bellini which was very good. The staff was very sweet and had great conversations with them and gave us a 5 star service.
While our server was exceptional, I would not visit again. The food was mediocre, I had shrimp risotto, I have had better.
It was great !
Our group of 6 had a wonderful meal at Bellini Grill! Our servers were very attentive and our food was delicious. A lot of restaurants in Philly aren't accepting parties more than 4 people right now because of Covid, and thankfully Bellini Grill is. Thanks for a great night!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time here. The waiter was excellent. He was attentive, he gave us great recommendations for our food, our wine and desserts. He was funny and kept us laughing. The food was excellent. Every bite was delicious. The service was quick as we finished 1 dish the next part of our meal was coming out. I highly recommend you visit. You will not be disappointed.
The food was fine - the meat and cheese plate was cheap- looked like deli cheese. I wanted the steak and ordered the steak the waiter insisted I try the veal- i tried the veal-I didn’t like the veal- my fiancé was going to order the pasta the waiter strongly encouraged to add shrimp for a couple dollars l, it was $13- the cost wasn’t a big deal it was just the fact that we felt up charged without the quality to back it up - we didn’t want to ruin our night so we ate a little more packed the rest up threw it away so we would not offend and went and ate somewhere else - maybe just a bad night or a new waiter , not saying the place is bad but not a good experience
Amazing food and service! The staff were extremely attentive and personable. The food was simply outstanding! Definitely the best Italian meal I have enjoyed.
Our waiter was so kind and accommodating. The food was AMAZING. We got the bruschetta and it was THE BEST bruschetta we ever had. The ravioli ricotta was unbelievable, so fresh and flavorful. The tiramisu was the best as well. Such a great restaurant, can’t wait to be back!
4 people in our party had 4 different meals and each enjoyed them thoroughly. Service was excellent. We were happy to have found this restaurant. Will definitely return.
Bellini Grill is one of the best Italian restaurants in Philadelphia bar none. Without a doubt it is my favorite and the only one I truly care enough about to drive the 20 miles through the traffic and sadly now, braving the dangers of the city to find creative culinary enjoyment. Jimmy is a fabulous owner, chef and host. I have never (nor have my guests) had a bad meal which has always translated into an evening to savor.
This time I had the grilled calamari appetizer and the Zuppa con Pesce Del Giorno - all fresh, tender and flavorful. My only ding was I thought I was getting homemade whole wheat linguini and was served whole wheat penne and not homemade. I love Jimmy's homemade pasta. Next time...
As for my friend, he had the grilled veal chop and fresh vegetables. He raved about the tender veal and the sauce with which it was matched. He liked it so much that he threatened to come back the next night to get it again!
We enjoyed Caesar salad and salmon. It was a little noisy outside sometimes with traffic, but the heaters are great. Lots of servers helped with dinner.
