Bellatrix Ratings and Reviews
This is country club ambience- you either like it- or you don't. You do want to be out on the terrace- that's where the lovely across the golf course to the mountains view is. We all had salads and they were fresh, good sized and nicely presented. The soup was excellent as well.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. All in all, a very nice experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We love to come for Sunday lunch as you don't feel rushed and the service is terrific.
This is also a go to HAPPY HOUR destination, but the noise level increases considerably as it's usually very busy. The appetizers are a real bargain and always cooked just right.
We were greeted promptly. We arrived early. No problem. John took care of us. Our excellent server, Christy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and request that she be our server. The food was very good and the wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. Nice view of golf course from our inside table. Just happened to be too windy for outside seating.
The service was excellent and also the food. We were disappointed that we were seated in the bar area instead of the main dining room. When we arrived at 11:00AM, there was lots of room in main dining room. So, not sure why we were seated in the bar area.
We will still come back again.
The ahi with soba noodles was well presented and value was good. All three of us had the same and we all agreed it was delicious. There are no flatbreads or bread offered with meal, not unusual these days. Un fortunately we were seated in the bar area which was quite noisy so had difficulty with hearing our own conversation. We were not offered outside seating although there were a few tables available. We waited five minutes for someone to come to the from desk to seat us and walked through with dirty tables bussed but not wiped down. It looked like there was not enough staff. Perhaps dining is another experience. Since this was a fly in fly out situation the next time I would opt for a quieter environment/restaurant since they don't seat the dining room for lunch.
We visited for a pre-theater dinner. It was our fist visit to this restaurant. The decor was very nice and although we sat inside the veiw from the balcony tables was picturesque.
That night they had a large banquet and although the service was good we waited a long time for out main course necessitating rushing through our final course.
Good location to celebrate an event. We received a Groupon as gift for this restaurant and went to celebrate a birthday. Being handicapped (mobility) I was glad to see ample space to maneuver in the restaurant. The meal was pricey and am glad we had the Groupon. We have decided it is a special occasion place only but not for everyday dining.
We have dined at Belatrix before and it has always been fabulous. We were just really disappointed in the extremely slow service. The waitress forgot our drinks, no water refills and a very long wait for everything. We have always thought of Belatrix as a fabulous restaurant with superb service and we hope that it was just a "off" night. The food is definately worth 5 stars, the service not so much..
Very excellent and romantic dinner in a beautiful setting. Very quiet night and good for conversation, but we could hear the golfers enjoying their Happy Hour at the 19th hole next to the restaurant. Located next to the golf course just west of the mountains we sat inside because the wind was strong on the terrace. We had a fine meal, with an attentive and friendly server named Natalie. My NY Prime steak dinner was delicious, and it was well-paired with a very good and inexpensive bottle of Neely Pinot Noir. My wife had a lamb rack with butternut squash and ate it to the bone. The presentation of the food was artfully done, and just added to the whole experience. We thanked Amber the Maitre'D and the Chef and drove home happy.
We look forward to stopping at Bellatrix every time we are on travel in the Palm Springs area. This restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere that is quiet and relaxing. The menu offers creative entrees. The salads are fantastic and love the healthy choices they offer. The restaurant has an amazing view too of the golf course, desert, and mountains too.
