There were so many interesting items on the menu that we didn't know what to choose first. We began by ordering the lobster cerviche and the ahi. Each one was was delicious and marinated to perfection. For the main entree we ordered salmon and 1/2 rack of lamb. The salmon was delicious but my lamb was indescribably wonderful, served with the best tasting couscous I have ever eaten. I probably could order that meal everyday! The meals were also a visual feast for the eyes. As if we didn't stuff ourselves enough, we could not pass up the chocolate decadence with ice cream/cherries for desert. Need I tell you that if you are a choclaholic, this is the desert for you! We waddled out of the restaurant, and as soon as we exerciseoff that amazing meal, we'll be back!
As always, food and service were outstanding, and cocktails were excellent.
My first entrée was not very good. The waitress took it back and I ordered something else and it was delicious!!
Lunch in the bar with friends. Everything was very good. Nothing was exceptional. Met expectations.
The atmosphere is wonderfully serene, service is top-notch, and the food is as beautifully plated as it is delicious. Do not miss the beef filet! We have decided that THIS will be our family restaurant to important occasions and celebrations. It is spot-on every time.
Another fantastic meal at Bellatrix. Have been here before and has fast become my favorite. Our server, Julian was very friendly and accomodating. His service was great and was always there when we needed him. Food to die for, Sea Bass with blueberry compote, fantastic !!!. Salmon is wonderful, try ordering it with blackened seasoning was delicious. We ordered a variety of desserts for our table of 6 and all were a perfect ending. This is a very relaxing restaurant, we will be back.
The food, atmosphere & service at Bellatrix blew me away. My boyfriend & I were visiting Palm Desert for our anniversary & will definitely be back again!
Food was excellent and the presentation amazing. Sadly we were the only diners at 6:00.
Soup and salad were plentiful and delicious.
Rack of lamb and Chilean sea bass were our entrees and we were still
talking about them days later.
It was my birthday dinner and it could not possibly have been improved upon.
Great Management and staff, solid food, beautiful decor and views with lovely music.
Only wish they were open later, but it was a great meal and beautiful surroundings!
The filet I ordered was one of the best I have had anywhere. It was cooked as I requested and was very tasty. The others in my party thoroughly enjoyed the pork chop. The service was good and the people there were friendly. The surroundings, and view of the golf course and mountains, especially at sunset were fantastic. We ate outdoors on the patio with just a few other tables and were comfortable even in the hot June weather.
I was disappointed that there was no gluten free bread available when the other diners were being served. That is really getting to be out of the norm - failing to accommodate gluten free. But my sea bass was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was our first time going to Bellatrix and were taking an out-of-town friend, hoping for a special evening. We were not disappointed. The food was exceptional in every way! Our waitress was fine - not overly friendly or attentive, but she got the job done and we had no complaints. Views were pretty. Definitely going back.
Have been here many times and decided to do a double birthday celebration. Went for the Wed. prime rib... sorry to say the meat was not very tasty. The second disappointment was that the Chocolate Cake for dessert -- they ran out. Honestly, there were maybe 2 other tables occupied and they ran out. Will not return. Service was excellent.
Love the food and service and especially the outside view!
Such a disappointing experience on Easter Sunday. In fairness I did not check the menu ahead of time but assumed it would be some type of nice Easter brunch. I was wrong. They had an extremely limited menu, almost no appetizers to choose from and maybe 10 entrees. There were no drink specials, Mimosas, or otherwise featured.
The room is sunny and airy but our table for 2 was at the only dark wall in the entire place. After contemplating leaving, the manager did come over and slide the table over so we were in front of glass doors and could see out to the golf course. However, there was nothing festive in room - no flowers, no small Easter flourishes to make it feel celebratory.
My husband ordered the lobster roll which came with about 1/2 cup of lobster filling on a small 4" roll with about 1/2 cup of coleslaw for $19.
One of the worst case scenarios for a restaurant is that your guests leave hungry. We both left feeling wholly unsatisfied.
And the waitress over-poured both of my Mimosas which went all over the table. She said the "third one is on us." What??? I don't want a third one. Just comp me the second one which she did.
Overall a super disappointing brunch.
The best! The beautiful landscaping, lovely facility along with exceptional service make this an outstanding special place to go.
We were very disappointed in our experience here.
Food was good.
People were nice enough.
Server was fine.
What went wrong then?
The place was pretty empty, but they chose to put the two of us next to a table with four children who were loud, instead of a quiet table, with an even better view outside.
And, it was right in front of the service to outside door.
There were four open tables!
We got the one overlooking the cement drive, and not one of the several with a direct waterfall view.
We would have asked to be moved, but too much of a hassle as the table was striped and would have needed a tablecloth and everything.
We wanted a nice romantic dinner, and did not get that.
Also, the bus boy was could use some training.
He dropped silverware twice and was nice, but not very professional.
The evening should have been lovely, but felt stressful.
We won't be back and we visit the area regularly.
Though the atmosphere is nice the food was average. Steaks not cooked to order. Vegetables too raw to cut. Waiter made a mistake on our bill in the restaurants favor.
The surrounding are gorgeous. We sat out on the patio and it was wonderful. However the waitress was unbelievably curt, abrupt, and disappeared for long periods of time and never came back. This is the fourth time I have eaten there and have found that overall, at the Classic club and the Bellatrix, the staff are not attentive and really couldn’t care less. It is obviously this place is not a for profit organization and it shows.
Service was great, food good. When doors to outdoor area were kept open unnecessarily long open, it was a wind tunnel.
Absolutely lovely venue, inside or outside... very good food with nice options on menu, service was very good snd would recommend this restaurant
What a great experience. Our server Shannon was very attentive. The veal piccata was delicious and the short ribs scrumptious. Can’t wait to return!
Great food, great service and lovely ambiance. Will definitely go again. Everyone at the table enjoyed their selection.
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Our view of the golf course was amazing, the waitress couldn't have been nicer, the food was GREAT plus reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it highly!
Meal came as ordered and service was excellent. Wait staff was very attentive and manager? visited and asked how the food was.
This restaurant is like a hidden gem....great food and ambiance! If you can sit outside, the view is lovely.
The prices are fairly reasonable and the food was quite delicious! Am looking forward to visiting the restaurant again soon!
This is most definitely the hidden gem of the valley. Absolutely love the atmosphere whether inside or out. Food is always top notch and a great reasonably priced wine list.
Bellatrix is the hidden gem of the valley. The food was perfect from the choices, the presentation and
the taste. The service was equal to any 5 star restaurant. A perfect meal and evening with out of town guest.
The steak was not done properly but they took it back twice before it was finished right
The fish was tiny portion but they made a second portion
We love Bellatrix. This time, the steak was not as good as in the past. The Sea Bass was excellent, as was the Pork Chop. Prices here are very reasonable and the view is to die for.
Hidden gem in the Desert. Great steaks and salads. The dessert of chocolate gelato on top of a fresh churro was out of this world. Can’t wait to go back and try their seafood.
This would also be the perfect spot for a nice later - in - the - evening piano lounge ! Good food and drink are to be found at this classic venue .
Excellent service even though the restaurant was full. Beautiful room and lots of choice on the menu. We enjoyed our meals and will definitely return.
We were there on a Saturday afternoon so it was very quite and low key, which is what we were looking for. Normally it can be rather loud mid afternoons with many golfers coming in for lunch. But since the tennis tournament is in full swing we guess every one was at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens.
Even with reservation had to wait a bit.
The outside patio has a terrific view of the golf course and water feature directly below the patio. So go for lunch on a nice sunny day.
Food was very good and service was good, although seemed waitress was covering too many tables.
Excellent in every way. Great food. Great service, fantastic view.
Overall an excellent lunch experience. A burger order was over cooked, but immediately taken care of. Blackened Mahj, Reuben sandwich and Cobb salad were all excellent. Attentive service and beautiful building overlooking the golf course.
Also have a great Happy Hour. Must get there really early during high season here in the desert.
Bellatrix has an excellent menu; food and wine in particular are priced well below market as the owners are trying to get this lovely if slightly grandiose establishment (the Classic Club - well named) to catch on. They need to push the promotion as they are Ioutside of downtown, on the north side of the 10 at Cook Street in Palm Desert. Service and ambiance are friendly and genuine, but the value sets this place apart - truly outstanding. Check it out; BTW the golfing is excellent and included $30 in food and drink vouchers for two people. Check it out!
I was very impressed, had the filet for dinner. We were party of 3 and every one was cooked perfect. The server was very attentive, as well as the entire staff . A great job. Lisa who booked us last minute thank you.
