20 anniversary and they didn’t even acknowledge occaison😞
Wonderful food, excellent service by VERY pleasant service personnel. Great atmosphere for special occasion dining for 2. Have dined here also as a group of 6 and everything was perfect. Plan to spend a comfortable, un-rushed, pleasant dining occasion that will leave you very satisfied with your total dining experience. Amongst all the “more exclusive” restaurants we have dined at, this is in our top 2 in the San Diego area.
Visited 2 other occasions, very happy. This time we had mushroom ravioli, in pockets! Other times it was made in the usual form of a circle. Didn’t care for it this visit 🤔My wife had the risotto, beautiful. Deseart was delicious. Brian, our server is always entertaining and knows his stuff.
My son thoroughly enjoyed the 5 course chef tasting menu. Then the waiter gave both of us a nice glass of Shoket Cabernet from Oakville. A nice added touch!
Food was beyond superior. Chef Jonathan has taught his trainees well.
Terrific service from Adam, and the best margarita ever. The food was excellent.
Service from Jeff outstanding. Food was prepared correctly and delivered hot.
We were seated 2-3 tables across from a 4 mature couples group which was pretty loud. After our waiter took our order, he opened and poured our bottle of white wine and rested it in a ice bucket. He did come back to check on our appetizers. However, after our main course came out, he has never return to check on our food. My compliments under my Scottish Salmon was barely warm. He has never come back to re-pour our wine and my wife ran out of water so she has to drink from my glass. Later on a bus person came to clear our table. We waited for him to come to ask whether we want desert or our check but he never came. Finally I saw him in the back of the room and I waved him to come over. I asked him for our check and he proceeded to ask me our wait person has not bring over our check yet? At that time I was pretty steam-up. I told him that you are our one and only waiter. He did and then apologized. By the way, there was only 4 tables occupied (including ours) during our whole dinner and there was at least one or two other waiters present. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience for a $140 meal. When we left, we did complain to the manager and he did offer us a complimentary meal if we returns and he will serve us personally.
Bellamy's continues to deliver on their find dining promise.
Best restaurant on Escondido for quality dining and food.
We loved it! The accommodating service was so notable we gave a 40% tip
Very friendly staff and nice little appetizers of popcorn with a secret spice blend and a ciabatta bread and sea salt butter. Their prices are high, with $16 + for an average panini with limited amount of toppings. Good staff and would be nice with some lower price specials.
We went to this lovely place for our anniversary and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful decor, nice and quiet, able to easily enjoy each others company without having to speak above normal voices, like in so many restaurants we have been to. The food was excellent, and our waiter very professional, very attentive without being annoying. He brought us a creme brulee for our anniversary which was very sweet. We would absolutely dine at Bellamy's again!
Food was great service was okay. Got right in and sat down, took forever to get drinks and receive our actual food after ordering.
Outstanding menu that does not disappoint ! My wife and I absolutely loved our entrees !
Make a point to enter via the front door as opposed to the back entry from the parking lot
as such entry lacks ambiance. Put this place in your favorites folder !
Excellent food! Definitely worth a trip to this restaurant! The lamb shank was awesome!
We went to Bellamy's to celebrate our anniversary. The wine list offered a wide range of choices by the bottle or the glass. We enjoyed a very good cabernet. Our appetizer and entrees were cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. Reasonable prices. The manager provided a free dessert to top off our great anniversary celebration. Excellent service. We look forward to a return visit to Bellamy's.
Great intimate dining experience! Food was great!
Food and service terrific. Gold cauliflower soup outstanding!!!
We had a reservation for 7 on Mother’s Day. It wasn’t disclosed that their menu would be different and that they wouldn’t have a children’s menu as they normally do. They only set the table for 6, we had to ask for things multiple times, food specifications (like something on the side) wasn’t followed. The food was great, the place it cute, people were nice but I wish we knew the program before we went and the service could have been much better, especially since they had a limited menu, were not that busy, and had a lot of staff that day.
I had never been here before and decided to surprise my mom for Mother’s Day. We both loved our meals and I’ll definitely bring my man here for a date night .
Mothers Day out with my 81 year old mama! Chose the right place. She enjoyed every minute of it!
From the moment we sat down we had a stellar experience. Our waiter Adam was awesome and attentive. The food was outstanding as were our drinks. We will definitely be back!😘
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere, the staff and the food at Bellamy’s never fail to impress. It’s a shame I don’t live closer, otherwise I would be there every week.
My wife's birthday lunch. Not our first time there, but as good as ever.
The food at Bellamy's is consistently good. Service is sometimes lacking.
Bartender and drinks were fantastic, very well crafted. Opted for a mix of old favorites and daily special, all were great. Food was pretty good, we both ordered the specials and they lacked a little zest. Tasty, but not so good I am rushing back for them. Needed a little more flavor in my opinion.
I asked for a cozy table for the occasion, and they gave us a nice quiet table so that we were able to enjoy our conversation. The waiter was very nice and the food was good as we expected.
This was my first time at Bellamys in Escondido and I was very impressed. We had reservations for Easter brunch and were seated promptly. The wait staff was very attentive yet not intrusive. Live piano music added a serene ambiance. Our water and French rolls arrived quickly. We didn't order appetizers, and we didn't feel we were waiting that long for our main course, but the waiter came with an apology for "the wait" and free citrus ginger soup on the house! My seafood crepe was delicate, tasty and filling as was my daughter's ham and mushroom crepe. The sides of French fries were delicious. We will definitely be back!
Took a friend to lunch for her birthday. Enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine from the extensive wine list. Service was attentive but not intrusive, and the restaurant was quiet so we were able to talk without shouting. This restaurant is one of my friend's favorites...it was my first visit, but won't be the last.
Always a great place to make a special day more special. This place is great for any occasion.
Our waiter was not attentive at all. He brought us other tables drinks and when our drinks were empty, he was nowhere to be found. He also disappeared when we wanted to order food. We would see him talking to other tables but ignored us.
We enjoyed everything about our meal. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, very busy and loud at happy hour but worth it.
We had been wanting to try this place, and stopped by for a drink before an event at the Arts Center. It is easy walking distance from there. We had an appetizer and drink, and were impressed with the atmosphere, service, and menu. So we went back a couple weeks later for dinner. All the food was excellent, the menu is creative and again our server was great. They made good wine recommendations, and we had a lovely meal. Ask for a corner table for extra romantic atmosphere.
We sat in the back room, so it was quiet, but not much ambiance.
Appetizers, salad, entree and wine were all delicious!
We ordered a nice bottle of wine from our server. Then the maitr’d came over with a different bottle. We thought he would say they were out of the first one, but no, he told us that the one we ordered was good but for only $10 more we could have one that was Very good. We said we would stick with the first one. We eat out in high end restaurants all the time and have been doing so for many years but have never experienced such a bizarre situation.
Don't let the initial entrance put you off; it gets better. The dining room is well decorated if a little dated. The menu is excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was very helpful in making great selections from the menu and from the wine list. The duck was very good and the pinot noir that he recommended was outstanding.
Our first visit and it won't be our last. A wonderful evening. A little on the expensive side, but it makes a great night out.
