Bella Trattoria Restaurant
Experience the flavors of Italy right here at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.
Night out with the family. My wife and kids love this place.
The food was delicious and the service was great. A very lovely restaurant
Our waitress gave us bad service. We had to ask twice for bread, three times for oil and vinegar and charged us for a birthday dessert. We had to ask someone else for the bill since our waitress did not bring it to us when she returned to our table even after we asked for it. Some of the dish pairings were unusual too such as Salmon with beets!
Went here for my mom's birthday
My mom and I both ordered the chicken parm and were both disappointed
The chicken was way over cooked and dry
Rest of the families dinners were good
Was also a little to dark where we were sitting
This is an excellent restaurant in a beautiful location. Located at the Mission Inn Hotel the good is as delectable as the ambience. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for an excellent meal in an amazing setting!
Went here with for a date with my beautiful girlfriend and it was perfect. The inside lighting was romantically lit with just enough lighting to eat -- but not enough to ruin any romance in the air. Food was amazing: The made to order, freshly baked calzone and THREE cheese pepperoni pizza (aka salami pizza for those that hail from Italy) was superb; so much flavor. And the tomato bisque was the best I've had.
Service was phenomenal. Attentive and always quick with refills, while not being intrusive to any quiet whisperings you may be sharing with your loved one.
A great date spot and restaurant in general for amazing Italian food. You won't be disappointed.
Lovely setting. Beautiful location.
Food was just okay. Focaccia bread was delish. Wine choices just okay. Liked the ambience sat on patio outside but food was mediocre. We had rigatoni and lasagna. Both were a bit on the on the dry side.
We love the food, it's was so relaxing on Sunday afternoon.we will go again soon
I know some people have indicated the service was slow here and to be honest, the first time we ate here it was a bit slow however, they were in the middle of a remodel which is now complete. This was our 2nd time here and we had no issues at all. We were seated immediately and had a choice of seating including inside or on the outside patio area which fronts to a downtown pedestrian walkway. Our server greeted us within 1 minute and took our drink and started order. Service was spot on and we wanted for nothing. Granted, it was a Tuesday evening and not extremely busy. This has a nice location within the Misdion Inn facility but has a separate outside entrance as well so you do not have to enter only through the hotel. Food was well prepared with nice presentation and a decent quantity. Could have taken some home but I finished it. Overall, a good experience and we will be coming back again.
It was perfect
Food was great. Service was average. The meal was served and did not see our waiter was after that. We had finished the meal still no server and waited for a while before the server came back.
Host lady has emotionless face.. no reaction to our questions, and we got confused.
The server and late lunch were excellent.
Very pleasant outdoor dining with great service and ambiance. The entree choices seemed a bit limited but we would return for sure.
Mission Inn is a great place for a date night. I’ll give it another try but try another dish. I had salmon and asparagus risotto. It was ok. Salmon was a little fishy. My wife had pizza which was very good. I made a reservation but didn’t need it there were plenty of empty tables which doesn’t explain why the service was a bit slow. Our server was friendly. It wasn’t a terrible experience but I did expect more.
The only problem we had was with the valet parking. When we dropped off the car we were told the restaurant would validate our parking for us. When we asked the waitress she said she would have to check w the manager. We explained that the valet person in front said they would validate. The manager said it would be fine and told us to show our receipt. When we got back to the valet they told us they don’t do that anymore. We told them we were told by the manager they did and they called him to verify. We wish they would have a set policy that everyone is aware of because we felt like idiots standing at the valet waiting for our cars.
Food was great and the servers at the restaurant were even better.
Sloping floor makes it difficult to sit straight. Extremely awkward if you have a mobility issue. Very limited gluten-free options. Food only ok. Expected better.
The service was outstanding!! The waitress granted my request to sing happy birthday to my significant other. Food was prepared in a timely manner. Scenery was wonderful. I will be dining there again on occasion
Very romantic setting with quality service and great food.
Staff was friendly, took our order right away didn’t wait very long for our food. Server went above and beyond for our anniversary dessert
There on a Tuesday night with no crowd. Made a reservation but showed up early telling the hostess about the reservation with special note about husband’s birthday. Restaurant was hot. After drinks and bread were brought and order taken, no one came by to check on us for 1/2 hour. Food was brought and dumped on table with no one asking if anything else was needed. Carbonara was disgusting tasting of burned bacon. No mention of birthday. Disappointing as we only eat in a restaurant a few time monthly. Bad food and bad service.
Service was above and beyond! Richard Was a great help serving us, going above and beyond to get us the last bottle of the Prosecco we ordered! Sadly the food was just okay...dessert was pretty good (Peanut Butter Mousse) but I didn't care for the carbenara and the garlic bread was just okay. We came here as an anniversary dinner and I'm a little sad about the food and how much we spent for an average meal. My husband enjoyed his lasagna so that's good :)
Exelet food and service and I liked came back again with my friend and family.
Had a wonderful fathers day. everything was great! would highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice ambience, outstanding salmon with risotto dish, lovely patio setting, attentive service. Quite amazing for the moderate price also.
Sorry but the service was poor, the food was ok but nothing to brag about. The worst thing was they didn’t have the food they pictured on their menu website. Dessert was awful: the lava cake was dry and the creme brûlée was flavorless. I will not be returning.
Food took a little longer then most restaurants but the outside atmosphere was enough to keep you entertained. A plus was the live music in the area we could hear.
This place was great. The service was a little slow but other than that the food was pretty good and our waiter was very kind.
Food was delicious! Service was great. Our favorite restaurant at the Mission Inn.
Delicious food, great service, and quiet, beautiful ambiance. I'm looking forward to going there again!
Service was terrible and it was not even busy in the restaurant. We ordered salads before our meal and did not receive them - the manager brought them out after we had our meal but by that time we had already eaten our meals. Had to wait forever for refills and our check. Had to ask a different servor for our bill because our servor never came to our table. Then had to wait again a long time for our change.
Service was slow, very nice restaurant, very good food.
The ambience is unmatched, mixing beauty and authentic Italian sounds provides a setting for romance, networking or business lunches. Very spacious and calming while still having the ability to people watch through the glass. Reminds me of Florence... The staff is exceptional and kind and the food is wonderful.
Bella Trattoria at The Mission Inn wasn’t what i had expected. It was more casual and more limited in fare. The reserved table fit us comfortably, but it was in a back corner, a bit dingy. The high point was the friendly waiter who was helpful but allowed us plenty of time to eat and chat.
Beforehand, our party met in the Presidential Bar and ordered drinks and an appetizer which arrived promptly, but we didn’t get any plates or utensils. Finally, I walked over to the waitress’ station and asked for the things we needed.
It was prom night and many students splendid looking students made for a busy night. Even so, I was a bit disappointed in The Mission Inn. I guess I was expecting food and service at a higher level given the website and reputation.
I love the Mission Inn but Bella Trattoria needs much better management. We arrived near sunset and had to spend the next half hour or so asking and then reasking the staff to try and block the sun that was setting right into our eyes. Considering the restaurant was at best 25% occupied, I’m still trying to figure out why they even use that table at that time of day. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food, which seemed long until I ran into a friend who happened to be eating on the other side of the restaurant. They had waited over an hour and a half. If the food were good, I’d be fine with the wait. I don’t think I have ever had such inedible food in my life. The eggplant parmesan consisted of eggplant so tough it couldn’t be chewed, topped with so much cheese the dish should have just been called baked cheese. Doubt we’ll be back.
Restaurant wasn’t very busy at 5PM. We were seated for 15 minutes, no table service. We decided to walk out. Saw manager who asked us to stay, which we did as we were looking forward to Italian food.
The calamari has a light crispy batter, our entrees were delicious.
We received a complimentary appetizer and a discount on our bill.
Hopefully, the initial service received is not the norm.
We celebrated a birthday. The food was excellent and service was great. Will definitely come again.
Sadly another restaurant at the Mission Inn that I am striking off my “go to list.” The service was painfully slow with the waiter disappearing for several minutes after we requested basic service items (plates, glasses, etc). He did not anticipate our needs and seemed disinterested or maybe just poorly trained.
The chicken marsala I ordered was cold and bland. It was a good sized portion but just wasn’t appetizing or worthy of a trip to the Mission Inn. My friend’s margherita pizza was undercooked and a bit chewy. Those that orders the Inn Keeper’s spicy penne left left more than half on their plate and said that it was just “meh.”
The two of us had a nice table outside, perfect weather, very good service, and great food made for a memorable evening. A restaurant definitely worth trying.
