Bella Roma S.P.Q.R.
We enjoyed the meal. The menu selections are extensive, and the food was hot when served. I had the gnocchi with spicy marinara sauce, which was delicious. The gnocchi were soft and like pillows—probably the best I’ve ever had. Service was great. Our main problem was the noise level. We had trouble hearing one another across the table. Still, I look forward to returning sometime soon.
I got to Bella Roma when I want the two C's - cannelloni and cannoli. They're both excellent there. It tends to be a little noisy because there are a lot of guests at dinner time. We happened to sit near a birthday party for a group of nine-year-olds so it was extra loud this time. But, the food is good and all of the faces there are friendly.
The salmon was very good but the scallops in the appetizer were pretty mediocre. The Cabernet Sauvignon that cost $32.00 was excellent for the price
Everything was perfect with the exception of the very loud and continuous barking of the dog at the table next to us. It was extremely annoying.
The homemade pasta was unbelievable. I had the Alfredo Originalle, but I added shrimp. The portion was generous and absolutely wonderful
Wonderful experience, food delicious and the staff was helpful.
Amazing food and service
Great local Italian restaurant - not fancy but comfortable and very agreeable. Nice homey ambiance.
Fair. Food was pretty good, but service was only ok perhaps because of how busy it was.
Nice family owned restaurant. Good food, price is good.
I have never been treated so bad... our waiter yelled at my mother who is an elder and he was beyond rude to our table. A chef and waiter didn’t showed up to work that night, but that should not dignify complete disservice to costumers, especially at a time when your customers could be and are federal employees that furloughed. We ended up leaving after ordering because the waiter was so abusive with his words.
Had a longer than expected wait because a few workers didn’t show, including the pizza maker so no pizza. The staff did their best and delivered a phenomenal meal, ensuring everyone was attended to as frequently as possible, with nothing but great attitudes toward everyone. I left full and content with the experience.
Food was amazing! Loved the gluten free pasta! Will definitely return very soon!
Excellent authentic Italian food.
The pizza crust is very thin, a délice !
Small mom n pop Italian restaurant with traditional and American Italian style dishes. Food and service was overall good. Might have to go back to try the traditional pasta alfredo
Far too noisy could not even have a conversation
I dine here at least once a month and it's always excellent in every aspect.
Wonderful food in chic but casual indoor/outdoor space.
This is our favorite restaurant. We always have a great time here and the food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable too. Every one of the servers are excellent. It is pretty busy most nights so be sure to make a reservation.
Good fare! - Good selections. The whitefish is delicious. The bread could be tastier and the music was annoying. Would love some crooning neapolitan songs or classical.
Liked our waiter.
I have been here many times and the food is always excellent. The service by Roberto, the owner, is excellent ... he knows I am a slow diner and never rushes me. If you're a chocolate lover and they have the Flourless Chocolate Cake, go for it ... it's super rich and the best I've ever had. I always bring my own bottle of wine since the $6 corkage fee is more than reasonable!!!
This has become a family favorite. Our favorites thus far are the tagliatelle Alfredo w/ cream, Bella Roma pasta (seafood linguini) and the marguerita pizza.
Love this place. Good food at amazing prices. The potato pizza is my favorite!
Consistently great food and service. Lucky to have it in our neighborhood
The four cheese gnocchi is amazing . I have never had a bad meal at Bella Roma. Consistently great and the staff is friendly ❤️
I love the food and staff!
First time here with a friend from out of town. If you plan an early dinner, there is space in the free parking lot! We were pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu at very reasonable prices. The filet mignon was offered with a peppercorn sauce, and while it was presented in two pieces rather than the tall single chunk one usually sees in restaurants, it was perfectly prepared, tender and delicious. Their handmade pasta was also quite good, cooked just right. We started with the arancini appetizer, which arrived as two large balls that required utensils to enjoy, but enjoy them we certainly did! The portions are generous; we both took some home for lunch the next day. Our waiter, Salvatore, was informative, attentive, with the right amount of good humor, and helped us select a wine that worked well with our dishes. The wine list, while not as long as the food menu, is also very reasonable. This restaurant was a terrific find and we will be back, as well as tout it to other Italian food lovers.
We go here about once a month for casual dining. We always take advantage of the $5 corkage fee and no extra cost for split salads (love the burrata salad). We hit a particularly busy time this past week and service suffered as a result. Also the noise level inside was so high we were barely able to talk. We will still go back, we'll just wait for an outside table where the noise level is much lower.
It’s a great neighborhood restaurant! Awesome for families!
Excellent Italian food at reasonable prices and awesome service. I've eaten here numerous times and never disappointed.
Nice little spot with good food.
good food. reasonable prices, wine glass filled to the top.
great pasta, odd chicken cacciatore (kind of barbequey). Good wine.
AC was minimal, just portables. But food is glorious every time.
No A/C on a blazing hot day.
We were dog sitting in LA and every time we drove by it, I was curious. We loved it so much the first time, we went back 3 days later. Same table. Attentive service, but not too much so. So far we've had the lamb chops, tagliatelle arriabbata, Caesar salad, lobster and shrimp ravioli and the ribeye with portobello and balsamic sauce. All meats were cooked perfect, as were the pastas. Great sauces. We will be back.
Celebrating my 30th birthday
We were looking for hearty, home-style, authentic Italian and we found it! Great specials and a value. Different from the uppity LA scene with indoor and outdoor seating. We hit it at the later half of the evening and were seated right away. Would go back anytime!
Made reservations based on all the rave reviews. Arrive, place packed with people & people waiting which seemed promising.
No host showed up so so finally grabbed a waiter who looked us up & promised a table 10minutes later.
Service was really bad & slow, from waiting close to 15 minutes for menus, then water, then waited longer again for waiter to take our order. Then had to chase waiter down because he didn’t ask or wait for our drink orders.
Waited additional 15 minutes for salads. Busboys never came to clear table so when entries arrived we had to stack plates & hold them up so entries could be put down on table.
Waiter never came back to ask how things were or if we wanted more wine, water, etc or even if we liked the food. We were actually disappointed with the food.it was only average...plain with little seasoning. My steak was mostly gristle. We knew this was a popular neighborhood restaurant which is why we opted to try it based on all the 5 star reviews
Had to get up again to find a the waiter to ask for espresso & cappuccino. Again, had to hold up our plates to get a passing busboy to take them away.
Always a great meal at Bella Roma. Friendly service & very reasonable prices.
