Bella Notte Ratings and Reviews
Terrific & authentic Italian crusine ! Service was fast in spite of the fact that it was Valentin's Day and the house was full. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Portions were ample. I must warn all that the food is served HOT ! I burned my tongue ! That's ok, I'd be upset if the food was only warm or worse !
Our group was there for lunch. For most of the time, we were the only customers, not sure why. The food was good to very good. Service was outstanding. Ambiance was good for an "old time" Italian feel. The free valet parking was a plus. This might be more of a dinner restaurant rather than lunch....not sure. The menu was extensive. Overall, it was good!
The food was very good and the portions were enormous. Everyone was friendly. I wish the waiter would have recommended the smaller portions knowing it was just 2 of us. The service was less than stellar as my food came out right away but my husband did not get his food until we asked for it, and then it still took an extremely long time to arrive. I didn't want to eat until my husband's food was served, so my dinner ended up being cold. I think the waiter forgot to put in my husband's order and then was no where to be seen. It could have been a better experience.
A solid Italian restaurant with a nice feeling. Best of all was the service; the food itself was passable but nothing whatsoever to rave about. I had zuppe di pesce and it was fine but not memorable. Partner had specialty risotto. Way to rich with too much cream. Friend had a mountain of pasta instead of half order. (Advice: get the half order whenever possible. Quite enough food.) The wine pours were kind of stingy and the by-the-glass menu was restricted.
The restaurant is fine, but I wouldn't make it a point to get back there anytime soon. Rating: B-/B.
Food was wonderful, as always!! BUT, they sat us by the door where it was freezing on a below zero day. Every time the doors opened a gush of cold air came blowing at us. I had to keep my winter coat on the whole time. Not really how you want to ring in your NY!! If they seat you by the door, ask to be moved.
Our first visit to Bella Note after ordering delivery via GrubHub several times. This spot was everything we were looking for - a friendly neighborhood spot to meet friends and enjoy some delicious comfort food. Our server was personable, friendly, and attentive. The homemade lasagna was incredible. My only negative feedback is that one of our dishes was VERY salty. I saw that as a common thread in other reviews.
Went here upon a recommendation from a friend. Monday night during the Christmas season, no need for reservations as there were only a handful of tables besides us. Very nice ambiance, decorated with Christmas twinkle lights, white table cloths, window seating. The food was exceptional - 8 fingers cavatelli was amazing good - so much garlic! The pasta and sauces are very very nice. We even saved room for dessert! Too bad for us that our waiter didn't seem to be very interested in waiting on us that night. Forgot the wine menu, mistake on a food order, and in general just didn't seem to care or be too attentive. I would have rated this a 5 star experience if it wasn't for the service.
Despite a half empty restaurant, we waited over 20 min for a waiter to stop by for our drink order. Another 15 before we were able to get in our food order, which the waiter had to come back and redo 10 minutes later. He ended up forgetting to serve one of the dishes anyway. The food took a long time to arrive (only 3 other occupied tables, so the kitchen couldn’t have been that busy). Food was very salty, and the pasta was mushy, over cooked. I was very disappointed, given the good reviews this restaurant has earned.
This was our first visit but it won't be our last. our serve, Gabriel, was informative, friendly and attentive. the food was plentiful, delicious and enticing. we have to go back just to try more entrees. complimentary dessert for birthday was a nice surprise.
We really love this place. The food is outstanding every time. We had a huge order of fried Calamai and delicious shrimp cocktail. The drinks were very good. Our waiter was so busy but still gave us very good service. I had veal marsala that was fabulous. My husband had the Italian steak that was amazing. My son had the chicken oregano that he loved and his friend had cheese ravioli that he thought was delicious. Thanks for a great meal. We will be back.
It was a busy night and I think there was only one waiter in the place. Not his fault, but when he took our order he told us he was “crazy busy”. Drinks took a long time to get as did the food. They both came in shifts. Some people getting drinks/food while others had to wait. Soups and dinners did taste good.
This restaurant never disappoints. This was our third visit. The protabello mushroom appetizer was incredible. I wanted to order another plate for my entree but was too late. But that was a good thing as the waiter promised my green spinach noodle dish would be equally good. And, he was right. The breads beforehand, special olive oil, my husband's Italian salad and my daughter's cavatappi carbonara dish were equally amazing. The spumoni ice cream is always a nice finish. Waiters and bus boys are always very attentive and accommodating. We love to sit in the window at the front, next to the bar. Can't wait to return to enjoy the lovely platter of grilled vegetables with sweet balsamic sauce. Amazing value and delicious!
