Regular neighborhood haunt (uws.) Reliable, yummy, cozy.
Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant. Everything is great.
Nice family dinner as reasonable prices. But took forever on a Sunday to get our food. The server said the delay was the brick oven pizzas in the one brick oven.
Had a nice brunch ravioli and tomato sauce could have had more substance .
Good food, nice staff
Bella Luna is a great spot for a family dinner. We informed our waiter that we were going to a show and needed to have prompt service. He immediately took our order. He was very kind. The Margarita pizza was delicious. The waiter returned with our food very quickly and was very efficient. Bella Luna is a NYC winner!
Ordered Rigatoni Alla Norma served with ricotta on the side. Very disappointed. Sauce was very bland and ricotta was old.
Already recommended to friends and colleagues as a yummy place to go for a business dinner or out with friends.
BELLA LUNA has been around for about 30 years ... and for good reason. Fresh food, good prices, snappy service, and good cheer among everyone there.
I have eaten at Bella Luna at least once a month for 20 years. The food is always good and fresh. However, this time the salmon and potatoes were burnt, and the asparagus was overcooked. Since it is a rarity, I will let it go. However, if my next visit continues to be so, unfortunately I will have to find a new place
Perfectly done al dente fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms. I will order this again, it was delicious.
Ladies’ Lunch for four friends ages 75+. We enjoy salads, iced water, lingering over coffee. We keep returning to Bella Luna because of the courteous service and reasonable prices.
Went on a wednesday night, 2 adults and 2 kids.
Came in early and shared meatballs and tomato/mozzarella for starters with a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio.
Mains was the truffle oil pizza and pasta with italian sausage for the adults and pasta tomatosauce for the kids. Another glass of Pinot Grigio and the Puglia to the mains.
Could easy recommend this restaurant for a famile of 4 and would go again my self.
Excellent place. Great food. Service can be a little iffy but overall a good place. Felt a little rushed. Waiter came once, too loud drink order and asked us if we are ready to order everything. Whatever happened to get drinks, order food, nice and paced.
Always a wonderful meal at Bella Luna! Such a beautiful ambiance and yummy eats :)
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. I go to Bella Luna at least once a week
Bella Luna is a perfect local restaurant- great food, good wine list, and exceptional service.
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend
Neighborhood Italian, good food. Skimpy on sauce on pasta dishes however. Vey accommodating as we lingered at our table after finishing there was no trying to hurry us out. Good for groups and families expecially.
One of our favorite local spots for dinner. Lovely, simple, tasty Italian food, and an easy atmosphere, with very friendly service. Consistently good and great value. Also, kudos to the management for introducing an enhanced wine menu with some new options!
One of our go to’s, though we get delivery more than we dine in. I love their Red Sauce. All three of us enjoyed our meals. Ravioli Basilica, Eggplant Parm and Bolognese. Love their freshly made Tiramisu!
Service could have been more attentive
The customer service was great but the food was a bit bland to me.
You can’t go wrong with the food at Bella Luna. We usually order salmon and it’s always been grilled to perfection. Our waiter, Jorge, is very professional. We can usually ask for a different veggie than asparagus.
Good food! Kind staff
Pasta was all quite good, including the gluten free variety. Salmon was not so good. Didn’t taste so fresh, unfortunately. The restaurant was busy, but no one was waiting for a table. They were beyond gracious and didn’t bother us to leave, though we were there at least an hour after paying, catching up with people we rarely see. We really appreciated it and will be back.
A historically "good" restaurant that changed when it relocated. It is more expensive, more noisy, and not as good as it used to be. Typical for the Upper West Side.
Pasta Bella Luna off the charts. Other dishes looked good not great. Shrimp calamari and mussels over linguine.
For a Thursday evening the service was just so-so. We had to call the waiter over several times because he was busy with too many tables. The hostess had to jump in several times. The bus people kept trying to take plates before we were done, took silverware without replacing. It was a special bday and since we've been to BL many times, I guess they had an off night.
Always happy to dine at Bella Luna for the last 20+ years!
This place is AMAZING, I’m never disappointed with the food. Everything I have ever ordered has been beyond what I expect. I just keep coming back with a very great friend of mine.
Lovely neighborhood place and has gluten free options
Always good neighbourhood Italian.
Fantastic food at great prices!
This is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. Comfortable; pretty setting; delicious fresh food; prompt and friendly service; good value.
Good neighborhood spot for traditional pastas, good pizza and decent drinks.
Good neighborhood restaurant. Food is good. It would be nice to have a bit more variety.
My friend and I had a delicious meal and had freedom to linger over our food. One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants for decades!
The food and the service were good, but we were a table of four, including two tall men, and we were put into a very remote corner table. The seating was very tight and ruined the ambiance of the restaurant.
Food and service were very good and enjoyed nice i rushed meal on a Saturday night
The pasta with sea food was delicious and they did not skimp on the seafood- especially the shrimp.
