Bella Luce Ratings and Reviews
We had a delicious dinner with A1 service. Cocktails were great too. The only flaw was the parking and it's not the restaurants fault. We spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how the meters work. We literally almost got back in our car and left. Completely frustrating!
The food is very good and different. Good wine. Service at the table was very good. Went to the bar after for drinks. The bar was busy and we had get someone to get the bartender for us and she didn’t look too happy but overall it was very good! Would definitely go back.
Was excited to have Christmas Eve dinner there we ordered the beet salad with goat cheese there was barely any goat cheese and it was overloaded with vinegar then proceeded to dinner at the crab cakes tasted like somebody used a half a pound of salt on each, they were over fried and tasted fishy the risotto dish we ordered was bland and had too much going on I did not like the tomato sauce should've just been a white wine sauce overall I would not return
It was Christmas Eve so maybe they were too busy, but the food was just okay. The server was nice enough, but we asked for simple things like salt & pepper and never got it. One busboy took away my silverware when I hadn't even gotten my meal yet, had to ask for more. Never refilled our water glasses. Little things like that, attention to detail rate in my book. So, just meh.
Fantastic cuisine ! We enjoyed six different appetizers and a salad -- as our meal; a great plan!
Each of the selections were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Bella Luce. The desserts were phenomenal -- we had tiramisu and the cannoli extravaganza. Thanks for a sensational evening of fun fine dining.
As first time diners on a Sunday evening we 2 couples enjoyed our meals immensely, but found the main dining room somewhat noisy. The proximity of our table to the open kitchen and the bar, coupled with a high tin ceiling exacerbated the noise to a level of distraction. Will surely return for the food, but recommend requesting a table in the secondary dining room, which from a noise perspective was night and day.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend's mom's birthday and she loved it. Our server, Christian was fantastic. He knew the menu inside out and all his suggestions were amazing. I was a little scared since his mom is a cook and Italian, but she loved every dish and the attention the servers gave us. The portions are huge! So be prepared to be satisfied and have some to go.
The owner was welcoming and friendly. He immediately made us feel like he had known us forever although we have never met. The menu choices are creative and have a lot of variety. The food was delicious and the drinks were made well. I will definitely be going back very soon!
My girlfriend and I traveled from the shore and finally had the chance to see Ray Cetrell perform. The show was outstanding as well as the service and food. I would highly recommend Bella Luce. We will definitely be back. And it was also nice to visit my hometown Nutley.
Food is excellent, everything made fresh and it is exquisite ! Service is exceptional - Jonathan was our server and he is simply outstanding. We both have food allergies (garlic, onions) and Jonathan made sure we didn't have anything that would bother us. It was a perfect meal at a perfect place. We'll be visiting it again for sure. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
It's our 2nd time here. Came on a Thursday with a 6:30pm reservation for a party of 7. The food was fairly good. Ambiance was nice. However, service was super slow! It was like pulling teeth waiting for our food, the dessert menu and even the bill. My mother inlaw asked for butter when the bread was served and it took 20minutes from the time she asked to the time it arrived. The staff was friendly but their pace and time management is poor. I did notice there were certain tables they favored more. Overall, won't hurt to give it a try!
I came with my family. We got our appetizers fast but the entrees took an hour after that. I was incredibly bummed and the poor waitress was overworked. Had to get up 6 times in the ridiculous 2 hours it took to eat there. The comped our apps. I still had a bill of 160. I'm not happy. We should have not paid for the kids food. Who makes a kid wait an hour to eat? I'm a restaurant manager in my profession- this was not the servers fault. This Was just poor management.
This was my second time and I was a little disappointed with the food. Just not what I preferred and it was on the expensive side. Service was excellent though and the owner came by to make sure everything was ok. Not sure if we'll come back and give it another chance.
