Best Pasta dishes! Everything from minnestrone to deserts is excellent. One of the best!
Always good wait staff too....
Best Pasta and many other things perfectly prepared....A good staff too.
You have to experience this gem on the Upper East Side. I have been there three times now and look forward to going again very soon. The restaurant is intimate and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the food. I highly recommend the salad with hearts of palm and the burrata appetizer. Their wood fired pizza also makes an excellent starter to share with a group. You can’t go wrong trying one of the specials for the main course. Their pasta and seafood is top notch. The flavors are consistently excellent, the portions are generous, and everything is well priced. You will not be disappointed!
Probably the worst food I have had in a long time. I asked for my Chilean sea bass to be well done and was served raw. My friend had tuna that was tasteless and was more like cardboard and sent his tuna back. My sister’s baby chicken was poorly cooked, poorly seasoned and had to be left over. Although the service was ok, the food was certainly of poor quality, poor presentation and over priced. A small under cooked piece of sea bass was atop some beans and nothing more for $36. Certainly no value here.i would definitely not recommend this place.
This is convenient to where I work and there isn't much choice in the neighborhood. I think the food is good. Not outstanding. But good. I'd never eat here if it weren't convenient. Service is good, though sometimes inattentive. When full, which it often is at dinner, it is very noisy.
Always enjoy Bella Blu but it is very noisy. Chopped Salad was delicious pasta ala dente was perfect. We sat for hours and they did not rush us.
A great neighborhood restaurant. Always reliable and consistently good food and service.
Good service and good food. High noise level though and tables close together
Wonderful dinner with friends - we were seated on time and did not feel rushed. Great food and service. The branzino was delicious!
The eggplant parma was delicious.
We also had the lobster salad which was perfect
We love the wine selection and the fresh fish is always delicious
The lobster fra diavolo is perfection
Three of us went for early dinner to celebrate the holidays. We were given a nice table along the wall, and the service was professional. We each had a pasta dish, as they are prepared in the restaurant and delicious. Especially the gnocci. Although I didn't have it last night, their sword fish is excellent.
We go to Bella Blu all the time as a local restaurant but went for New Year’s Eve and thiught they did a fabulous job, regular menu but they had decorations New Year’s Eve hats etc and each table was given s bottle of perseco we had a really fun time, crowd was lively and food was great as usual ineiuld def hi back next year snd will continue to go throughout the year also staff was terrific
One of our favorite restaurants! Great food, great ambiance and adorable staff!
Totally overpriced for the quality of the food: upscale pricing for mediocre (at best) food. Service vacillates between annoyingly ingratiating and inattentiveness.
Bella Blu is great for convenience; it's in our neighborhood. The food is better than average, some dishes better than others. Their grilled shrimp, their swordfish, are both delicious. Special pasta dishes are great, and their gnocci is very light. Tables are too close together, unfortunately, so that at busy times, you are practically sitting on top of the person at the table next to you!
Never disappoints. One of my favorites. Lively and fun. Great for kids.
Overall great. Awesome service, but a bit the price is overrated.
The food is always good here. Great atmosphere. We have always enjoyed out dinner. Our server was wonderful.
The service is always super and the food is excellent. Like the atmosphere and very good value. Highly recommend.
Alberto, the owner, is constantly on watch. Nothing is missed. Everything is exceptional and no matter your preference they will prepare it.
Second time to eat at Bella Blu. The food is as delicious as the first, service is as personable and great as I remembered and the place is still filled with locals.
An excellent Sunday brunch menu with a wide choice of omelettes, frittatas, and other traditional specialties. Service was friendly and kids seemed welcome. Nice to have a good choice of wines and beers at brunch, too. Note convenient location close to Hunter College.
Food, service, ambiance all excellent, but it was extremely noisy and somewhat crowded.
We had dinner here last Friday night, a December tradition for us. We were seated immediately, which never happens. Excellent food, good advice on a new wine and very good service. I had the penne with fresh tuna, capers, black olives etc - delish. Gnocchi and ravioli were all excellent. Highly recommend
Food and service was excellent. Maitre'd was very helpful in recommending wine. Hostess was very pleasant and the waitstaff attentive.
Dined with my elderly parents and didn’t have much time before a doctors’ appointment. Staff was extremely accommodating to every request.
Really enjoyed our meal here. The food was very good and the staff attentive. It is a sophisticated restaurant with a lively atmosphere… A little noisy, but not impossibly so.
very good food and great atmosphere. good place to go with friends
We were seated next to a large table of adults and children. The children were throwing food. Some of it landed on us. The adults at the large table said it was "no big deal" and the children were just "acting like kids." It was a big deal to us. We won't be back to this restaurant, which apparently permits this behavior and attracts this type of customer.
A standard for us. A patch of friendliness and service on the Upper East Side with the bonus of serving delicious food. We train in from the suburbs to meet NYC friends regularly. Noise level and squishiness of the tables is the only complaint.
