making the wine list more notable every season. The one of a kind brick oven offers a variety of dishes, exceptional pizza and foccacina rabbiola that is hard to find in this city. For something sweeter-the deserts are impressive! The atmosphere is charming in this power playing neighborhood.
Very good food. Packed. Very loud. The services was attentive. I’m going back today!
Good food and good service. Very reliable. Its consistently friendly
Seems like the food is going downhill. Maybe a new chef. Also, inattentive waiter and service in general.
A fun energetic room but the food is mediocre at best. It's greasy, salty, feels rushed and thrown together, not an ounce of refinement to be found. Ask the waiter for guidance, and they unfailingly push the big ticket items. Tiring. I've tried a number of times, this will be my last.
The restaurant is really pretty inside - a lot to look at. Every table was full so there was a lot going on, but not too noisy which was really nice. The service was really, really good - something that is usually lost in a modern dining experience. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. We had a great night!
Very overpriced, specials were $20 more than regular items
Not for dinner. Too crowded. One order came wrong. (Asked for green beans, plated spinach.). The other fish order was over cooked. Very pricey for what it is. Maybe lunch makes a better experience.
Delicious authentic Italian food in a neighborhood setting, great vibe, excellent service
Great service and best fish prep
Bella Blu is our “go to” when back in NYC- good for all occasions and all types of meals. Food is always excellent and service great. While we aren’t “locals” anymore, still always well treated at this local bistro
Was absolutely wonderful. Food is delicious and the service outstanding
Always a pleasure
First time here. Food was excellent as was the service. Surprised at the size of the crowd for a Sunday evening.
Had a special that was twice the price of the regular entrees and we were not told of the excessive price until we saw the check. The waiter should have informed us of the price. The entree was good but not double the other entrees the other 3 people in our party had.
Our go to spot for a casual family dinner. Food is always food they are always gracious.
Have been going to this restaurant for years - always wonderful - whether you you sit at the bar (even better than sitting at a table sometimes as you can eat dinner and have a drink and feel absolutely at "home") or at a table - great food, great atmosphere, great service...zero complaints.
Quality of food is always amazing. Service is friendly and outstanding.
Did not check me in and got a strike on open table
Hot plate was not told and burnt thumb
One dish had sauce and we asked for it naked They raise off and sauté And suppose to be grilled
Service was non existent
Asked for ice for my water 4 times...4 TIMES!!! Maitre d was lovely but tables are "cozy" as mentioned in one review. Waiters were not timely when coming back to our table. I will not be back.
My favorite spot to dine! It’s delicious and service impeccable
Great food. Good service. Space can be improved, too tight!
Excellent food and excellent service. I love the restaurant style.
Rado was an excellent server!
So noisy ..could not converse w/ out screamingSlow delivery of food , we were told they have such a huge take out business..apparently that comes first?
on a very hot day they had the from open so that the AC wasn't effective.
Food was god but service rushed us. Noise was high.
A gem in the neighborhood and they never disappoint. Food service and staff (Diana hostess with the mostess and Marco the Manager always delightful. I had the Caesar salad and ravioli with cream sauce very delicious, my husband had the sirloin steak another yummy dinner and our friend had gnocchi with red sauce and it was delicious. To top it off the chocolate flourless cake to die for.
By far one of the best restaurants on the upper east side. The food is delicious and the service impeccable!
We have eaten several times at Bella Blu, and it never disappoints! We are from out of town & love coming here when we are in New York. It has a great neighborhood vibe. Appears to have lots of regular local patrons. And the food is excellent! I highly recommend!
Marcello and Diana are the best. Service and food are great! Everyone make she feel at home always a fun night out!!!
Very European atmosphere with vibrant staff and good food! My friends and family of varying ages all enjoy coming here. You can count on an enjoyable time.
You are greeted warmly when you enter and treated like a member of the family throughout the meal. The bread and dip are superb. Soups were wonderful. Beet salad was great. Dover soke and Chilean sea bass were outstanding.
My first wine was warm. Waiter had attitude. Waited 20 mins for bread.
Great neighborhood restaurant!!
There wasn’t a morsel of food left on anyone’s plate! Food was delicious! Branzino was huge, filleted, moist and flavorful, seafood risotto was outstanding as was pasta with butter the food is consistently excellent.
Nice meal, great ambience, the best of upper east vibe for Italian food. Nice people, great service.
Expensive dessert and they don’t know anything about biscotti - sad.
We have been coming here for a few years but our recent experience was unpleasant due to the excessive noise level, the aggressive crowding and
The poor service. The waiter was cordial but got my entree wrong-probably because he wrote nothing down-and even getting a glass of water was a
Challenge. The food was quite good but my experience is that there are better choices on the UES at these prices.
I ordered fried zucchini flowers. I have often had them in Italy. The order was from the frozen variety available at restaurant supply companies. They were tasteless and soggy.
My salad was adequate.
The apple tart for dessert was very good.
The restaurant was very noisy and very crowded.
Bottle of Amarone was corked....
