We had a party of 4. Seated outside on railing so we had a perfect view of river. Great service. Great food. Great ambience. Could have not asked for more. Have been here lots of times. Never had a bad meal or service. Just the opposite. Perfect
The food and service were excellent and seating on the patio was great.
The food was amazing! I love Italian cuisine, and this was the best ever. The atmosphere was perfect. Background music so fitting. A little Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, not that I listen to this ever but exactly what you'd expect in an Italian restaurant. We truly had a great time! Did I mention the food was out-of-this world!!
We especially love the Sunday Brunch on the river-side patio! Everything is great, food, service, ambiance, and all. Water noise from the 2 water features is a bit overwhelming so sitting in the middle between the two is best. Live music is always enjoyable. Dinners and late afternoon cocktail times are excellent as well.
It was a lovely early Saturday evening, we sat on the shady patio. The service was great, the food was great and noise level was low. Even inside the noise level is normally low and I really appreciate that.
Always a great meal with great service. Our go to place for a nice dinner
We had a great meal with wonderful atmosphere seated outside with a beautiful view of the river. Service was excellent and engaging. Anxious to return soon!
It is my go to restaraunt for reliably very good food/great service/and I love being by the river.
Thanx, Bella Aquila 4 a marvelous & scrumptious dinner on the most beautiful of patios in Boise! You made our evening most special! We’ll b back soon, I hope!
We have been here many times and usually the service is outstanding but it took a long time to get drinks and food and they weren't that busy. Asked for more bread and by the time it showed up we were ready to leave. We noted a couple times that it was my father in laws birthday but no offer of a free dessert. Also the waiter just seemed to be going through the motions, not friendly at all. Just not the experience we've come to expect. My husband felt that since we were a party of six and the tip was added on automatically the waiter had no incentive to work hard. We spent almost $200 for good food but not great service. Sad.

Beautiful setting but... the white wine we ordered took 20 minutes to arrive and was served warm. The dinner was terrible. Such a beautiful setting and such a shame the dinner was terrible. Bad service and bad food can’t be overlooked.
Surprised and disappointed because this restaurant was reputed to be nice. Food was absolutely nothing special. The Halibut portion size was very small, especially considering the price. Menu options were tired and outdated.
Service was good - attentive and friendly waiter. The only really redeeming quality.
Was hoping this would be a good option - oh well...
A beautiful restaurant located along the Boise River in Eagle, Idaho. Seating on the patio beside one of the waterfall water features is our favorite. The staff is wonderful. The food is fabulous. Elegant but casual dining. You are never rushed but encouraged to linger and enjoy every second being there.
Beautiful view. great service. accommodating kitchen. delicious food. a wonder evening
Loved the location-patio was wonderful-waitree was excellent. Food and wine excellent as well. Annabelle was a delight!!
This was my first time eating at Bella Aquila. I like this place. The service was good and our server was personable. The food was good with large portions. We were seated in the banquet room off of the main dining area. It was perfect. There was very little noise, so conversation was easy. Bella Aquila is in a nice setting right on the Boise River. I'll go back.
Wonderful lunch on the patio
I decided to take my neighbors to Bella Aquila for dinner as a thank you for a favor. The service and ambiance were fantastic, however, I ordered the halibut and was very unhappy with my food. The first plate I sent back because it was overcooked and rubbery. The second plate was not much better. The halibut was still overcooked and the broccoli was so salty I couldn't eat it. The bread was very salty as well.
I thought the halibut was pricey and expected it to be much better.
Delicious food, great service, outstanding ambience on the patio with great views of the Boise River!
Excellent place! Service and food were great.
Always great food and service during summer it is great to eat on patio beautiful view of Boise River
We sat out on the patio and had a beautiful view of the river and the trees were so nice and shady. Our drinks were great and the wine selection was average, focusing on a lot of local wines. Our waiter, Mark, was professional and friendly and there when we needed him. The issue we had was the food. Disappointing at best. My pasta was dry as were the tasteless meatballs. I was “lucky” enough to get a wedge salad as our waiter told us they were sold out. Since when does an Italian restaurant run out of lettuce and tomato? I asked for blue cheese dressing instead of the Green Goddess that was offered, and it tasted like straight out of a grocery store squeeze bottle! My husband did enjoy his cioppino, but was disappointed no bread was served with the meal. Overall the value is simply not there as it used to be with this restaurant. Side note.. wear bug spray if you sit outside!
We won't return. Despite great service and lovely food we were denied eating out on the nearly empty patio because we had not specified that with our reservation. We were told that the patio was "full" from other reservations. During our dinner the patio never became more than 30% full, nor did the dining room. We were there specifically for the patio experience and will not try them again. They lied!
Excellent venue with a great view of the green belt. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and the food was very good.
Fabulous location and food! Can't beat eating along the river in Eagle with beautiful weather! Food and wine was awesome! Ran into friends same night and sent them over to eat as well.
This was our first time. We loved the service, food, & ambiance. Tyler was our server & he was outstanding! The entire staff worked well as a team.
I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food. The veal picatta is a weird interpretation of veal picatta, one of my dining companions found. All the food was OK but not spectacular. The antipasto platter is a rip off: 4 very thin slices of salami, 2 slices of prosciutto, 6 very small wedges of cheese, and I do mean small, 6 grapes, 4 thin slices of apple (not even a quarter of an apple) and toasted baquette for $18. A good lesson to never order that again. Funghi with polenta was great! I recommend that as an appetizer any day. It's a great place to go in the summer time and sit on the patio, great setting, but don't have high expectations for the food.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening
I had friends visiting from out of town, so wanted to take them to a restaurant on the river. We sat on the terrace and it was lovely, except for the mosquitoes. Also, we sat next to the fountain which was pretty but loud and the sound made conversation difficult as two of our party have hearing issues. There was live music, which was enjoyable and at an appropriate volume. I had Chicken Marsala, which was well-prepared. My friends had Eggplant Parmesan (tasty), but another friend had Cioppino (sp? Seafood stew), and there was no broth...None of us had ever seen it served that way. It was not a hit. The bread (pizza dough?) was served hot and was very delicious, served with a cheese spread. I could have eaten it all! So the food quality was a mixed bag. The servers were friendly and attentive.
We have been many times and always have been very statisfied with the experience. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
THE AMBIANCE WAS VERY NICE OUT ON THE PATIO NEXT TO THE RIVER. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD BUT NOT OUTSTANDING.
Was pleased with our first visit to Bella Aquila.
We sat outside on the patio with a nice view of Boise river. Really enjoyed the ambiance.
Server was really good and attentive to my gluten allergy. It took a while to get our salads which was only downfall because we were pretty hungry when we arrived. Portion sizes were good and presentation decent.
My boyfriend was slightly disappointed with the cannolis. They gave him 2 large cannolis but they are pre-filled making the shell soft. Also the texture of the filling was different because it was made with both marscapone and ricotta.
Overall, being from the east coast and my boyfriend is Italian, dinner was a good fix for craving Italian food.
Excellent service, food and very friendly staff. Dining on their patio is perfect, the waterfall is relaxing and beautiful!
Food quality was poor. Overall experience was disappointing
Wonderful way to celebrate our 46th anniversary
Sat on the patio, most pleasant view of the river. No too busy, so the ambience was nice, service and food were impeccable.
Bella Aquila is my upmost favorite brunch go to restaurant.Such delicious dishes, service, and wonderful ambiance. 😍
Great place to celebrate my birthday
We truly enjoyed our Anniversary dinner at Bella Aquila. Our waiter was the best and the food was delicious. We were there at 4:15 p.m. on a Friday and the atmosphere was quite and peaceful. By the time we were leaving (around 5:30 p.m.), people started crowding in and the noise level began going up.
