Great place for beer and burgers with a nice atmosphere!
Great atmosphere. Always great food and great drinks. Great location by parking garages
All was good except the known issue with the spotted lantern flies and the restaurant had their large doors open which allowed the flies to enter and then land on me during dinner. When we asked to close the door there was hesitation bc of a band playing later, yet I would think the customers experience and ability to eat without these nuisance flies around would be more important. They did close one of the several large doors that were opened so flies still were welcomed making their way in.
Great place with many food and drink options. Great service and vibe, will be back!
On a Friday evening at a quarter past 6:00 pm, I expected the restaurant to be busier. Regardless, Bell Hall provides a great meal at a fair price. They offer a wide selection of quality draft beers that is continuously updated.
It's a great place to get a burger and beer without breaking the bank. They don't seem to draw much of a crowed but their fries are great so who cares?
Always a solid go-to, a favorite for me and my coworkers (especially with so many gluten free options!).
We selected Bell Hall due to its close proximity to special event we had going on that day, and from the ratings in other reviews. I am so glad we did, since everything about the restaurant was wonderful. Both the appetizers and main food we ordered were amazing, the staff was polite and attentive, and the food was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Bell Hall to anyone for a special occasion, date night, or everyday dining.
I had their peanut butter/jelly burger last time which was great, so I switched it up and got the malibu shrimp. The shrimp were nice size and the rice was cooked perfectly. Very good flavor and the vegetables were not overcooked. I really liked this dish and would get it again. My wife had the rueben which was good, but not great. There was not much sauerkraut or meat. She said the taste was good but could have used more of everything. Our server was nice, but was non existent at times. In her defense, she had tables at the other end of the restaurant as well as ours so it cannot be blamed all on her. Overall, I like this place and will return.
This is our go-to burger place. Hands down, best burgers with a lot of great combinations. You can add bacon or egg to any burger for minimal cost. Apps are great too but portions on everything are large so sharing is a good option for apps.
Food is always good. The service was mediocre at best. Never took drink orders, didnt check on the meal or drink refills. And it took 40 minutes from the time we ordered to get our burgers.
My friends and I ate hear before a concert. Although it was crowded, the staff members were very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and we made it to the concert on time!
I'm going to assume it was just an off night for Bell Hall since the burgers are normally great however myself and another of my party asked for mid rare and received well done.
Pleasant meal. Nothing extraordinary but it was fine.
This is definitely going to be my go to place for a burger! Big quality patty and yummy toppings. The wings are excellent too, crispy on the outside juicy on the inside
Food good & varied. Service poor..enjoyed relaxing dining
First time to Bell Hall, very convenient to shows at Allentown Symphony Hall or PPL Center. GREAT variety of burgers and sandwiches, excellent beer and drink options. I enjoyed the Philly Special (nice twist on a cheesesteak) with sweet potato fries, while my date enjoyed a cheeseburger with honey stung brussels. Service was excellent as was the ambiance. This place is much larger than it appeared, a very deep building, so it was easy to have a conversation. Definitely will add this place to my list of faves!
Thank you for offering not one but two vegan options! (Impossible burger & black bean burger) I was pleasantly surprised at how good the meatless options were considering you have a cow head on your door. My husband and I will definitely be back on our own!
A very good restaurant which I have been to on several occasions for both lunch an dinner. Casual upscale bar like atmosphere, good food (don't expect to go for lobster or Prime Rib) and average pricing for downtown Allentown
Staff was friendly. The place is very sterile feeling. Could have just been a quiet/off night but for 7:30pm on a Saturday it was extremely quiet. The back dining area has no character at all so we asked to be moved to the bar area which was better. The food.. the chicken wings were ok - definitely frozen though. Kids liked the pretzel app. Dinner is where it went sideways though. Burgers were ok at best. Seemed again to be a frozen patty rather than a handmade burger. The chicken sandwich though was the strangest sandwich ive had in some time - it was supposed to be pulled/shredded chicken but it had the texture and flavor of tuna salad. It tasted like a tuna melt... not really what you are looking for in a chicken sandwich. At that point we just wanted to go so we paid and left. I will say that the staff were all very friendly so I wouldn’t place any blame on them but ultimately there was no real reason to want to return to this place. Not trying to be mean but the food was below par at best for the valley (which is not a super high standard to meet)
Food was amazing but service not so much.
Everything was very good. Would love to come back in the summer when the courtyard is open!
Food was good, service was good, being sat outside the kitchen was too loud.
We always try and eat here when we are going to an event at the PPL center. The food and service is always exceptional!
Had a very good meal. I had the Black and Blue burger and it was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium and it was medium....so many places over cook the burger. The blue cheese was a good portion, tangy and delicious and complimented the burger. The burger was served on a beautiful brioche bun. Nice! I got a side of the Honey Kissed Brussels.....OMG....delicious! Carmely roasted heaven...so delicious! My husband had the Phantom burger....also cooked medium. The burger had jalapenos....not just randomly sliced jalapenos but roasted jalapeno steaks... sweet with all the taste and no seeds...nice surprise. The burger also had barbeque aioli with hack cheese. Side of nicely done fries. I was leary abor the place after reading some of the yelp reviews....pleasantly surprised! I must get back here in the summer when the patio is open. Try it!
This was one of the nicest lunches I've had in a while. First, OpenTable allowed us to book an 11:15 a.m. reservation, even though the kitchen doesn't start serving until 12 noon. However, the bartender graciously checked with the kitchen and determined that they would be able to accommodate us. She herself took our orders--as well as making my fabulous espresso martini and brought our food. My husband had one of the delightful beers from the extensive beer list. Two of our party had the fish and chips, which was perfectly portioned and perfectly prepared. One of us had the "chicken sprout" sandwich, which she ordered without the bun. What a delight! Delicately caramelized Brussels sprouts topped a very slightly crispy chicken breast, accompanied by amazing fries (which could have been a salad). All three of us had dessert: two chocolate cheesecake slices and one regular cheesecake slice, all of which were the ideal size and extremely tasty. The speed of the service was perfect, and the ambience reminded me of my favorite Manhattan restaurant, Elmo, which is probably the highest compliment I can pay any place.
I thought the burger could use a little more seasoning - it was a little bland. Our service was a little slow. However, I would definitely give it another shot.
Our waitress made our visit so much fun and the food was amazing!
Very quiet not a lot of people there. Delicious burgers and spinach dip.
Great food and friendly Staff. Reservations are a must, especially if you are going in conjunction with an event at PPL arena.
I’ve been looking forward to going to Bell Hall for awhile now. The downtown area needs some more lively spots. The staff was great! Friendly and accommodating. But let’s get down to it. The beverage list was lengthy and has something for everyone. The Won Ton Nachos were amazing! I wish that was my entree. The three of us each got a specialty burger and we were very underwhelmed with the taste of it. I thought the burger was bland. It shouldn’t have been bland for all that was on the burger. Next time, I will stick to the appetizers and play quizzo in the bar area! Love the ambiance of the place and look forward to returning for some outdoor seating on a warmer, spring day.
The burgers had too many toppings on them for you to even taste the meat! The brownie desert was good... But how can you screw up a brownie topped with ice cream??
We had previously dined at Bell Hall and enjoyed their burgers so we don't know what happened with this visit.
There were four in our party and each of us ordered a cheeseburger (described on the menu as "House Ground Beef Patty w/American, Cheddar, Pepperjack, Provolone, or No Cheese"). Each one of us received a burger that was so heavily spiced with garlic that none of us could eat more than half of it. We don't why the garlic was even in the burger since there was no mention of it in the the menu's description!
The only thing that saved our dining experience was the Spinach Dip appetizer........wonderful!
Because of time constraints, we were not able to address the issue with staff.
Sad to say that we won't be making a return visit here any time soon!
Pre-gaming for Phantoms game- great location-nice lively bar area but we were too large of a group and we’re sat way back in the cafeteria-like dining room. Service and beer selection was very good. Overall food was good but the menu seems to highlight the burgers but my burger was terribly flavorless-frozen patty? Not sure.
First time at Bell Hall. Very good and waiter was very good.
Food was good, nice menu selection, Plastic wrapper from cheese or burger was in my sandwich. Not a bid deal but it happened
Excellent place to eat. It gets alittle busy on PPL event nights
OK, but not on our list for a return, just a touch above Burger King. Probably not going back. Sad for a “down town Allentown” location.
Love this place
FYI - a bit noisy due to all hard finishes (floor, walls, ceiling)
Highly recommend the burgers and the wonton nachos. Everything was amazing!
